  • I've been using my Oticon's for 3 months and they've changed my life. Absolutely awesome. The sound is amazing, especially when driving, I don't hear the wind noise like before with my other hearing aids. I can her conversations clearly and they've just generally improved my life greatly.

  • @Fractatious Did you never think of something like MicroLink - or asking about it? It helped somebody I know who is studying to be an audiologist and who wears hearing aids no end, till she got incoroprated in her present hearing aids.

  • One final thing. I can so relate to the woman in this advertisement right down to having to take out my hearing aid to hear on the phone. We're also about the same age. Being in meetings and not hearing is depressing. I'm a Social Worker and I assist in crisis and crisis calls and I have over moderate to severe hearing loss. Everything in this ad, I know really well and I dislike it immensely. I can't wait for my new hearing aids!

  • I love this advertisement and I'm looking forward to my new aids in 2 weeks!

  • Will you be getting Oticons like these? They're pretty cool.

My Oticons are more modest without the wonderful remote control

  • @Deafsmile I'll be getting the bluetooth ones. I've had Widex for the past 6 years and while they helped, I still had a hard time. When I saw Oticon I was blown away. I'm going to tell my audiologist to come look at your advertisement. Thanks for having it up!

  • Nothing new there for you then, eh Martyn?

  • You need to address your comments to Otion. If you are deaf I'm sure they would welcome feedback.

I doubt that fashion brands consider whether models normally wear glasses when they are taking advertising photos. It would be irrelevant for most people.

As for wearing two hearing aids - you only wear two if you have a bilateral loss that will benfit. Not everyone does.

I don't understand why you're making such an issue here..... nobody else has - you seem to be out on a limb.

  • Of course it matters! Would somebody who wears glasses be impressed if they knew the person they saw wearing glasses in a video does not wear them usually. And anyway, I think you know most (I am not saying all!) people of this woman's age who needed hearing aids would wear two, not one. Yes, it IS a cool hearing aid - but I wonder what Oticon did with it after this woman wore it! How about showing yourself in a video about hearing aids?

  • @309893 I'll be happy to show MYSELF with my new Oticons when I get them. It's not the ad really as the hearing aids. If they give a better quality of life thats cool. As far as I know also, Oticon (I found this out through my audiologist) allows you to try before you buy to compare. That in itself is awesome.

  • Does that matter (in your opinion)?

Oticon is comfortable with the video and believes it illustrates the benefits of this hearing aid - and that's the purpose of the video.

I selected it because it shows a really cool design.

  • It would be a good video - but for the fact this woman does not NORMALLY wear a hearing aid!
