nice, i like your in depth video's and good content. I'm planning on buying this plane, and I am an experianced 3d pilot. Is this recommended as a micro 3d that is possible to be flown in tight spaces? Is a receiver and transmitter the only pieces of equipment to be able to fly this?
@earthling1984 im so confused they said it doesnt come with servos and a motor and of course no radio but in this it does o-0 anyways how is it with crashes i held a micro 4 site and it seemed like a one crash deal
@Oooa1227 comes with everthing you need except a TX. I've found it can handle quite a few crashes, it is so light and flies very slow that if you are about to crash, just make sure to cut power, and crash as lightly as possible.
@olijay96 only need a transmitter to fly it, it comes with a receiver. It can be flown in tight spaces with a good pilot; it's a great micro 3D plane!
Hi: i don't have this plane yet. But, I was wondering . . . if you took the landing gear off, can you save about 3 grams of weight? That would be about 10% of weight and probably would drastically improve performance, no? What do u think? I am thinking about getting one.
Thanks, but I have one more question(ugh I know), do you really need dual rates and expo to fly this plane or can you use a dx5e? Awesome reviews and can't wait for more!
@Zigglyfug I don't use any DR or EXPO on any of my planes/helis... so yes, you can... but know your skill level. I would recommend a DX6i as the majority of pilots do prefer to use dr/expo. I like the transmitter movements to be linear so it feels consistant throughout the movement, which is why I don't use it.
Can this plane fly like a normal plane sometimes without being 3d? Thanks and great review. I have no idea how that genericallysuperior kid could hate on you, it's probably some 14 year old trying to piss someone off. If he writes back again, you should try not responding and see what happens. Just trying to help out man. Anyway, nice review and keep them coming!
@Zigglyfug this plane can fly pretty much however you want to fly it. It flies slow, not fast, but you can just do easy circles with it, or fly it full out 3D. It is a great little fun plane :)
OMG! something you can hover! I almost forgot, something you can "setup"! Just like I said in my message ARF or RTF - hahahahaa those little white things you didn't know what they were ! THEYRE CALLED SIDE FORCE GENERATORS YOU FUCKING IDIOT !
@GeneticallySuperior1 I'm sorry my flying skills enrage you so much... perhaps instead of being angry at people online, perhaps you should go practice flying, that might make you feel better...
Hello, I have the Sukhoi 26-XP and can do mild stunts (roll, snap roll, loop, knife edge, and hammer head) and was looking to buy this plane. do you think that it would be a good plane to step up to?
btw the extra wing peices are side force generators which help the plane in knife edge orientation or on its side it makes it fly amazingly stable on its side so it wont just kinda fall out of knife edges and point rolls
@ninjapicklez69 yes it could be, although this plane is more for advanced pilots to do 3D flight. this plane is stable, and on low rates you would be able to fly it fine, but I would imagine it will take some practise before you are hovering and flipping it around like crazy. I would say it is necessary to follow the instructions and setup the low rates and expo properly though, especially since you have little practise before this plane.
@ptcapc The 4-site is a nice plane too, but I find this new extra 300 to just fly better. It flies nice and slow, it hovers for pretty much the whole flight(if pilot is capable) and it is just very smooth and responsive. The 4-site as well is all these things, but from my experiences, and from what I've heard other people say, everyone likes how the extra 300 flies.
I unboxed mine 30 minutes ago and had it out just now and LOVED it! I used my controller that came with their T-28 RTF, so could only fly on hi-rates... awesome airplane. Steady, straight, and hovers on command. Definitely the nicest ultra micro I've ever flown! Enjoy!
@rcplanes1234 not really, some parts are available, including a replacement airframe, but like the 4-site, if you brake a major part of this plane, a new airframe will be needed.
wow it looks so nice mate. I cant wait to get one. I have been wanting to do 3d for a while now. I dont have alot of room here so i love these micro planes. BTW check out my UMX beast beach and overwater videos when you get a chance. Happy new year to you and Cassie. Hope you have a great one mate. :) :) :)
@sebasitsme I agree with you a bit. But you aren't only paying for the materials to make the plane, but the engineers who designed it and made this possible. I would like it to be less as well though :)
@bakonlicious they actually use almost the same electornics and hardware, but the new extra 300 is obviously very different in body design and also much lighter, giving it more lifting power to hover and do other 3d stunts!
@minameisjake thanks, yeah I didn't know the name :) I plan to use them and see if I like them. I will do a couple flights without them first, then put them on and see if I notice a difference.

and how is the duribility compared to the 4-site?
ptcapc 1 year ago
@ptcapc durability seems about the same. These planes are meant for intermediate to advanced pilots, and are not meant to be crashed much :)

acually if ur talkin about the ultra micro 4 site the wheelson it moved

@ptcapc yeah, I think I was wrong about that. But I think these wheels on the extra 300 are a bit larger, and spin easier/better.
