It's ALOT of work sometimes for a small reward, but my buddy has found, a gold pendant, a 22 rifle, some silver dimes/quarters, of course a bunch of clad, soda can tabs, and trash, but he is in great shape now and no further back problems

Awesome finds man, what are you swinging? I can't believe there is still old silver to be found out in those Chicago Parks? Whatever it is you are doing, keep doing. I'm out in Palatine, and I'm itching to get out and detect again...gonna have to wait out the long Midwestern winter....grrrrr....I only had 1 silver all of last year (was my first year out though) Hoping to find a lot this year.

hey i am only 16 years old and had a couple of questions. i just recently purchased a ace 250 metal detector and a pinpointer. i know of an old park that was around in the early sixties when my dad was a boy and they tore it down. it used to be a playground. would it be worth looking there?

@MrCool18yrs Definitely try it. You might be surprised to find earlier coins. You might not be aware of it, but it might have been a baseball diamond or something there before.

@Dasdfjkl I have a tip that might be useful. I hooked up my tumbler to a christmas light type timer, so I can set it to start tumbling in the middle of the night to be finished in the morning.

Research,Research,Research...D­asdfjkl ...Any site that was used by people from 1945 or earlier can be a good place to find silver...Any later than that is usually a waste of time...But there have been times I get lucky at some schools built in the late 50's /early 60's..

really an awesome job! Lots of dedication, time, and research went into finding all of those! You must be retired or close to it to have all the time to do metal detecting! I have a detector myself but I only go out every two weeks or so and all my hunting buddy and I find is fake jewerly, clad, and a few wheaties here and there. Washington State is getting dry for silver and spots considering there paving everything that used to have an old spot on it :( Can't wait for more videos and congrats!

Hey Dave next year save all the trash too?Do like the man on YT that claims his metaldetecting as a business so he can write off his losses. He saves fuel reciepts maintence food purchases camera batteries tripod skeeter spray shuvel gloves detector phone (office space!) time for driving researching in library making and editing video cause he can get revenue with his business from YT you would be able to claim thousands of dollars for your job.See your CPA you will be rich if you do this.

@cdltpx Dave I know this is a hobby but all you need to do is ask a few questions you seem to have a room already segregated for your hobby charge for that space you have to edit video in there etc. Only thing missing is you keeping a notebook where you record your miles for driving to and from for the business he had YT video on here for ace 250 detecting I try to find his advice and send you his link but what he says makes sense if you make a huge find they are gonna come to you hands open!
