The only real threat to Canada is the US. As long as they keep Canada in their back pocket nobody will touch them. If the US tries to annex Canada for its resources, then it will have to contend with the combined forces of many nations. Therefore Canada can stay in peace. Its military only used for humanitarian reasons, like peacekeeping. Everybody wants to sink their teeth into Canada. Attacking peacekeepers would be political suicide on a global scale.

@hotyhunter You join the CF either as a Reservist or Regular force member I believe you have to be nominated by your commanding officer to attend selection. A military based school isn't necessary. One your 17 look for a local reserve unit and give it a try you should be able to find out how you can apply to the unit from there.

Anyone in the Canadian Armed Forces is allowed an attempt to join the JTF2, you just need to have 2 years of service with the regular force or 5 years of service with the reserve force. To join either the reserve or regular force you must be: 1. Canadian Citizen 2. 17 years of age 3. Achieved at least Gr.10 education. Btw, This was all found by searching JTF2 in google and clicking their website, which was the 1st result...

@mythicAZN You're right. Once they are told they are 'done' the 7 month SOAC after the last and hardest phase, they are put into a convoy to take them BTB and then the convoy is ambushed. Then they are tossed out of the vehicles, have bags put over there heads, and are sent to a mock interrogation facility to see if they will break under pressure for 3 days as they are tied up. It's brutal what goes on when they go through resistance to interrogation training... I mean BRUTAL.

@hotyhunter You join the CF either as a Reservist or Regular force member I believe you have to be nominated by your commanding officer to attend selection. A military based school isn't necessary. One your 17 look for a local reserve unit and give it a try you should be able to find out how you can apply to the unit from there.

Anyone in the Canadian Armed Forces is allowed an attempt to join the JTF2, you just need to have 2 years of service with the regular force or 5 years of service with the reserve force. To join either the reserve or regular force you must be: 1. Canadian Citizen 2. 17 years of age 3. Achieved at least Gr.10 education. Btw, This was all found by searching JTF2 in google and clicking their website, which was the 1st result...

IF you decide a military carrer might be something that interests you, work your ass off in high school. All trades in the CF require training, and none of them are easy.
IF you decide a military career is something you aspire to, start physical training now.

Then they are tossed out of the vehicles, have bags put over there heads, and are sent to a mock interrogation facility to see if they will break under pressure for 3 days as they are tied up. It's brutal what goes on when they go through resistance to interrogation training... I mean BRUTAL.

The US has enough oil reserves of its own, it does NOT need Canada's or Saudi Arbaia's. Try researching "off shore drilling" along with the drilling we do in our own country. The idea is to save our own and burn yours while putting money in your pocket. No country wants to burn its resources. Also, we HAVE FRESH WATER. I cannot believe Canadians actually think America depends on Canada for life's most essential resource. Research the "WATER CYCLE", we have it too.

Who trains our soldiers?? "Americans" do. All of NATO trains with each other, Canada however does not, and never will train US forces. If you think this is the case, then provide an online source that proves it. Also, the best snipers in the world are not Canadian, nobody thinks this except Canadian keyboard warriors like yourself.

You are not American, which is why you used words like "our" when talking about JTF2. Canada doesn't need the US for protection, and the US doesn't need Canada for resources. Nobody is planning to invade Canada and the US has its own resources buh buys yours to save their own. Also, Canada is not leading the coalition in Afghanistan. Where do you get this stuff?? There is a partnership between us, of course. With the largest unprotected border in the world, why wouldn't there be.

Google: "War in Afghanistan" and have a look at the list of commanders and leaders since the war in Afghanstan began. Not only were the amount of Canadian soldiers smaller in number over all, but they have since withdrawn. It's not meant to be an insult to Canada, it's simply a fact.

Also, the "Battle of Kapyoung" didn't only involve "Canada," it was comprised of UN forces and I believe had more "Australians" than Canadians.

What's worse is crowing about "Vimy Ridge" which happened nearly 100 years ago.
