@ramdomerzrule1997 As I driver I can tell you yes you would slam the brakes on, but a modern 120 tone train doing 100mph will take at least a quarter of a mile to stop with the brakes in emergency. So 9 times outta 10 its goodnight sir, unless you can see an obstruction from a fair distance away. Thats why people killing themselves on the railways is quite common because theres just no way of stopping in time. Just something you have to accept with the job. Ive been lucky so far.
