  • No one with a brain could stand to listen to this tart for more than 5 seconds. I don't agree with your message, but even if I did, I would have my doubts if it's coming from this twit. Here's a hint, don't make an edit every second and half, it really sucks. No credibility to the content and visually obnoxious. Let me guess, you guys are all "occupy what-evers". Get a life!

  • duality is the reason of our incarnation here....to learn both sides.....in my eyes he as allowed us to learn the hard way......a very good way to drive the lesson home.....you will see things change....very soon and you will understand why we all suffered along this road...

  • The only real problems with electric vehicles are initial costs, counterparts not being standard and some of low quality, and non-complimentary power plants for the area which can all be addressed. Skeptics like to use these criteria as some reason to place a damper on this great technology. Like I said, all those criteria can be addressed. Other than this, electric has superiority over combustion in several ways.

  • @luc59457 travel will be like a new revolution in the not to distant future.....every thing hollywood has shown in fiction .....reality can beat that......these elite....are on there last legs.....its a question of time when this happens....

god is pure intelligence...and we are all one ......this shift will be for the intelligent ones...

    peacex

  • @pirreli5 If God was so purely intelligent, he would not allow millions of people to die each and every second. I would do better than that if I was god. Even better, I would have given humanity the tools from the start, instead of letting them progress slowly, and LOTS of suffering in the process. If he had the ability to create humanity and "apparently" everything, he has the ability to stop all the suffering, but he probably won't because, he never has, to our "observable knowledge".

  • @pirreli5 Even if God did exist, after what I just told you, not a God I would want to know. I'd be better off not knowing such an abandoning father to the majority of humanity. I am a good person for that.

  • ginger slag

  • They are building the wrong type of electric car. You need an electric car which is made like a typical locomotive with small gas or diesel engine which is attached to a generator which in turn runs one or more electric motors. No transmission and an engine which runs at either a constant 700 or 1200 rpm. The cars could be driven 1000 miles without stop and yield 100 mpg. Don't think it would work? Some locomotives are 50+ years old and run on the same principle. (diesel+gen+electric motor)

  • @Umaxen Just like some submarines do!

  • I like it. just saw Running On Lithium and that I like much more.

  • Electric Smart car are on their way here in EU, from the maker itself. I bet that's why they didn't want to get involved with ZAP back then...

  • We need to examine and break down all the chemicals used in foods and pesticides The electric car will be the car of the future.

  • They tried to get a small business off the ground. I don't see you guys doing anything about the over 20 trillion stolen by the Obama Fed and completely unaccounted for. But slam a small business for trying but failing to succeed. I mean many of these investment banks gave out over 44 times there actual resources. Have half second spots with loud music and you can sound like something you are not... legitimate journalists.

  • i like it when ur not wearing any bra...

  • Electric car lies? Here comes the truth. Nissan leaf 2010.

  • DDT,Agent Orange,Gov approved and yum yum good for you.

  • She's probably high on pesticides,

    what a crap!

  • Take it from an Electrical Engineer...... true electric cars are a long way off.

.... the best we can do with present battery tech is to do what the Chevy Volt will do.....get rid of transmissions and allow the engine to always run at its most efficient RPM.

  • @phxfreddy I don't agree, even if the batteries are pricey and don't last 20 years as the rest of the car. Many millions of cars are used almost only for short trips to work and they would be easily substituted with EVs. Not every car but many of them. A range extender could give them that "one in a month" long range ability. It's just a matter of willing it.

  • @marcheseDS lets imagine 100 million ppl having ev cars. how long does the batteries last? one day u ll need new batteries for 100kk cars. imagine what an enviromental damage that would make.

Then the question of recharge.. not everyone has a house where u can rwcharge that thing at night. I for example live in downtown and leave my car on a street. No recharge possibility

I just dont think batteries are the solution.. Fuell cell cars running on hydrogen look more promising to me! GO HONDA!

  • @t0rq21 Recycling will be the word, also because lithium is not infinite, but I agree that fuel cells can be the complementary solution for long running vehicles. They still need lower costs, more power output and a longer life, just like batteries; plus they need the right fuel (H2 is clean but hard to produce , ditribute and stock at low prices and efficiently nowadays). Still, fuel cells need an electric car to be placed onto, so we must head toward ev in a way or the other.

  • this chick tiny boobs and nipples distract me from her verbal diarrhea :|

  • I generally hate these video "magazines". I got the feeling they are made to show the face of the presenter more than anything else.

90% of the time al we see are he or she just talking about things rather than showing some videos of the events.

And it was the same in this one. Now I don't want to wathc any more of the crap.

  • wish she really had some boobs.. she trying hard, cant blame her!

  • There is NO WAY that the US Gov't puppet-masters will allow EV's to prosper and bankrupt them. Look to Europe and Asia for the new wave Electric Vehicles. The US are allowing themselves to be out-gunned in the Auto tech wars. Soon, the US will be like the economies who stuck to old tech like ocean liners and steam trains because they had plenty of coal.

The stone age didn't end because they ran out of stone. The US had better get with the program or be left behind.

  • @ClownFight Umm,the electric cars are the things that are behind,a company made them 100 years ago,LOOK IT UP and the things look stupid and perform badly and have NO RANGE at all.GAS ALL THE WAY,not some plastic POS ugly turd pile electric.

  • @Diamondguyrt. Google RUF electric 911 or Electric lightning GT. The problem is that the US power-brokers rely too heavily on oil profits and old technology gasoline powered cars. All the big German auto manufacturers have electric cars due out soon. The problem is that the USA has missed the boat and will be left behind. The good news is that there'll be plenty of cheap gas for your F350 when everyone else on Earth has moved on to electrons.

  • Hey you clown, the "evil. evil" gov or oil companies have nothing to do with the non-emerging of e-cars. bottleneck indeed is the battery which has, unfortunately, a very low energy density (latest Li-ions: 180 Wh/kg) compared to gasoline (18 kWh/kg). This is why you need to have an extremely heavy battery or only will reach a low range (The Tesla roadster's batteries weight 500 kg, e.g. It has a range of 80 miles under real conditions, although 200 miles were indicated by the manufacturer).

  • Hey you joaquer, the real bottleneck is the lack of development. All the money gets poured into gasoline powered cars and nothing into battery technology. Tesla was the only US car manufacturer NOT to receive bail-out money. Why, because the EVIL Gov't want them to go out-of-business.

So what if the Tesla's batteries weigh 500kg. The real world performance on a test track showed it to be faster than a Porsche GT3.

80 miles? How far do you drive each day? Me, about 60 miles.

  • r u stupid?? The bail-out money has nothing to do with investing, it was dedicated specifically to ensure liquidity in the banking sector.

"All the money gets poured into gasoline powered cars" No, that's wrong. Every OEM - (at least in Europe, I don't know what those crappy American OEMs are doing) - has been investing for the last 30 years significant amount of money into R&D in alternative technology. Good examples r BMW's hydrogen car and Daimler's fuel cell car.

  • "The real world performance on a test track showed it to be faster than a Porsche GT3." Yes, electric engine have the advantage of providing torque from the beginning, while the torque is built up with the rpm in an ICE-car.

"80 miles? How far do you drive each day? Me, about 60 miles." That's what the customers decide. There are around 20 different e-cars available anyhow in the market (but nobody or at least not many buy them).

  • "Why, because the EVIL Gov't want them to go out-of-business." Do you have any facts, arguments to support this illogical and merely speculaive statement?? Do oil companies bribe congressmen, or what?

Complete bullshit: if the batteries allowed it to offer an e-car to the market that really satisfies the needs of customers, nobody would be able to stop them, as this company would be the superstars of the automotive industry. So far, this is not happening.

  • Keep on believing that "evil, evil" gov is responsible for your own incompetence. Btw, you forgot the evil, evil oil companies, stupid!

  • And by the way, why would you think that anybody would interested in what the US gov says or does regarding EVs??? The level of engineering and technological leadership of US cars is abysmal compared to Europe's.

  • Ba da boom!

  • Is that theme song supposed to be really, really cheezy? Coz it is.

  • The more I learn about Big Business and gov'ts (with all the NWO fuckers lurking in the shadows), and their suppression of hemp, alternative energies (and anything potentially FREE & beneficial to the planet), PLUS their promotion of dirty fossil fuels, pesticides, wars, GM food, etc., makes me realize what a daunting task "we" face!

By "we", I mean those of us who want a world without war, famine, disease, poisons, intolerance and religion!

    I'm sure I forgot a few things, but I'm a bit high!

  • @Bongofury361 Oh, but don't talk like that or they'll call you a commie. What you're talking about is gvt on our backs (on the corporation's backs actually), regulations, bigger gvt and all those things that hurt the economy and raise taxes-- all that evil stuff. Big business creates jobs, gvt. just raises your taxes. Now, you don't want to pay taxes and pitch in for the common good, do you? The only way to measure well being is how much money you get to keep. Right?

  • You got that right! These fuckers make a lot of money off their destructive ways. As long as we keep electing the assholes they put in front of us, nothing will ever change.

  • fu=puta... liers!!!!!!!!

  • I'd almost bang her, but she is so fucking annoying I don't think I could.

  • wtf is this?

  • zap just trying to do what noone has been able to do so far.i give them credit for at least trying.go see the movie"who killed the electric car".thats how the big 3 do electric.

did u see the lincvolt car neil young the singer is trying to build?i'm betting the possibility of a 100 mpg 1959 lincoln could be done.i thank neil young for putting his money time and life into this.

he needs our support as much as the world needs his right now i think.

    check out his car here

    lincvolt

  • And Zap is failing for the same reason the EV1 failed - inability to bring a competitive product popular with the masses.

  • there's something too annoying about this girl.

  • Its not Zap's falut that the Smart Car people are assholes and wouldnt let them import some.

  • omfg .. electric car is the future wither you like it or not and i just hope the girl get crushed at 230 MPH by a Tesla Roadster

  • they said that in the 19th century when industry replaced steam and fossil fuel with electric but when it came to transport people perfered there horses & karts and only the rich could appreciate the mechanical beauty of the fossil car, electric to the consumer was about as interesting as a sewing machine nobody wanted it cos it was dull, the electric motor is capable of speeds upto the same as planet earth but will still be as appealing as a 1920s tram, why they still exist i dont know

  • @user56781 Tesla Electric cars can do 0 to 60 in 4 seconds. Faster than a Lamburghini. They travel 250 miles on a few dollars of electricity. They break down less as they have few moving parts. Where have you been these past few years. Did you just come out of a coma? Prison?

  • A $40,000 automobile is a non-starter let alone their $100,000 roadster. I find hope with Shai Agassi and Project Better Place though.

  • @vmtz2001 they tested them on top gear and under extreme driving conditions on a track batteries run out hella faast

  • @t0rq21 I don't usually drive around at full speed on a track, do you? Price is the only negative point about the roadster, and a big one too but still only one single issue to get rid of.

  • You know I just dont listen to anything she says but I find her really interesting o_O

  • What a cutie! And I like the message.

  • que dijo

  • Who paid for this crap?

  • let us remind you that you are a idiot, i mean cmon there is no real picture of god in the world, it is just a 3 million year old prank, at least, now you do you get it?

  • I have seen great electric cars in the SRP electric company in pheonix Az....For their meter reading fleet..

I`m talking chev. midsize cars and trucks..A whole fleet of them over 500 vally wide

about 240 mile to a charge...all the good stuff for a meter reader to drive all day..HUH

So yeah..this guy might be getting shut down by oil companys..because they all ready have thing in the works with chev..and other large car coperations

They just want to still milk the Gas eaters

  • I hate how this reporter talks.. what the hell kind of accent is that? It's neither Australian, nor british (neither welsh or all the other accents) or USAian. It's a fuckin ugly accent she's got, god damn awful.

  • yeah im trying to figure it out. Sometimes she sounds Australian, and a second later, American and the New Zealand!

  • the accent is a combination of valley girl and british.

  • zap dosnt meet my needs yet ,but thers other electric car s out ther (me ev)

  • piss up a tree

  • SIT AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND ROT!!

CHOKE ON THE SMOKE AND DIE ASSHOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    YOU are all responsible!

YOU WERE WARNED FOR YEARS ABOUT THIS. WHATS THE MATTER CANT YOU TAKE IT?!?

  • Comment removed

  • doesnt matter what you CLOWNS use for BAGS and cars. You BREEDING SOWS and your UNFAITHFUL BISEXUAL STUDS will see to it that mass population growth will wipe out ANY benefits of specialized cars, alt energy OR ANYTHING ELSE YOU CLOWNS IN DENIAL come up with. its POPULATION POPULATION POPULATION. not enough? you saw some SHITTY LITTLE TELEVISION MOVIE COMPLETE WITH MUSIC about the poor countries? AW you need more immigration so THEY can breed like ROACHES to OUTPOPULATE YOU. thats gonna help

  • Nazis like you always think a holocaust is the solution. Well start with your family and yourself asshole!!!!

  • Humans aren't roaches, nazis like you are.

  • My ZAP works very well. I use it every day since I rarely drive more than its 30 mile range per charge. It has a top speed of 40 MPH, fine for most city streets. I drive 9 miles to work and they even give me a place to plug in to recharge for the ride home. It has a solar panel roof over the flatbed that trickle charges the battery pack to help extend its chemical life and to give 5 miles of driving range from a day sun. You can see my video reply or just look up PUPPYJUMP on youtube.

  • i hate you people

your cheery aditude and your interesting stories prevented me from finishing my essay

    damn you

  • 0:37 Electric....

  • why dont you paste your fat mouth shut?

the rest of you CLOWNS, IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOU DRIVE. BECAUSE YOU ARE JUST GOING TO KEEP REPRODUCING, INCREASING THE DEMAND ON GAS, AND THE POLLUTION ANYWAY. YOU'LL SUCK IN MILLIONS OF IMMIGRANTS BECAUSE YOURE AFRAID YOU MIGHT BE A "BIGOT". YOU ARE ALL A BUNCH OF GOD DAMNED FOOLS AND THE ECOLOGY AND THE ECONOMY ARE YOUR OWN FAULT.

GET WORSE BEFORE IT GETS BETTER??

    IT ISNT GONNA GET BETTER!

    ITS GONNA KEEP GETTING WORSE.

    IDIOTS!

  • At least Zap is trying? I'm sorry but this IS a waste of time. Nothing useful here, just Chico Bags...I would prefer some content over "Well at least they are trying".

  • this is just shit and im watchin it not again#

  • Fuck Sally

  • If all you can do with this ZAP channel thing is to "Knock"

people who are trying to do something, while you do NOTHING but knock, where would the world be if you ran it ?

Knocked down dead, I think, Please start doing usefull constructive reports, any one can "Knock" you are better than that. Happy Day, now come on impress me

  • This bought puppet tries to tell us how to think...but if you consider her content, it's ridiculous...we need to hate a working electric car??

  • poor girl :) talking about such "interesting" things :D

  • at least zap is trying! what have you done for the planet, croaky voice bitch

  • Maybe the Zap Corporation is a little shady, but I own a Xebra and it works as promised. I drive it about 95% of my time behind the wheel. My Xebra is actually on the road now, not some promised miracle vehicle.

  • Wow. I wonder which oil company paid for this pantload. This young lady should not be held accountable, however, for the message displayed on the teleprompter that she is sooo obviously reading. She should really work on the accent, though.

  • i wanna marry this girl

  • She`s an Aussie. That`s the accent.

  • That's a kiwi accent I tell you.

    Jessica, you rock!

  • It's does sound Kiwi, - but a weird Kiwi accent tho'.

Sounds like she's been around californians and has incorporated some "valley-girl" into her speech, - makes some of the vowels end up sounding a little more Aussie than Kiwi.

Either way, she shouldn't be knocking electric vehicles, she should have made 'her' review more objective (stats/details/comparrisons?) ... she just comes across as a U.S. auto/oil industry shill.

  • "It" is Jessica. And she was just adding a bit of first...and second hand experience to the WIRED story. I read it and other articles a while back and weather or not it was Zap's fault, they did have many failures to produce. They get an "E" for effort, but they are not even in the big picture now that real car companies are manufacturing full-sized all electric cars. NEV's will have their place, but I will be looking for something like the Mitsubishi i-MiEV, and not a glorified golf cart.

  • r4nd0mn4me;

    I hear what you're saying.

I just get very suspicious when I see media slamming alternative technologies and not giving a full rounded view on whats available.

Zap may receive an "E", but as you say - electric cars do not automatically have to look like golf carts or some kind of tasteless nightmare.

Rag on Zap if she wants to but she COULD have shown existing examples of what they SHOULD be doing and what IS available.

This comes across as condemnation by omission.

  • Great idea! Let's put one of the only electric car manufactures out of business! Guess how many car manufactures have had vehicles that never went into production?? ALL OF THEM!!! Why try and smear one of the only companies trying to do the right thing? I own a ZAP Xebra and drive it every day. If you want the real story from real owners go to XEBRAWORLD "dot" com .

  • she needs o quit smoking ...that gravely voice irates me

  • i cant take this chick seriously , or anything these vidiots say.

  • I own a ZAP Xebra and drive it every day. If you want the real story from real owners go to XEBRAWORLD "dot" com . Don't get taken in by a bunch of spoilers. Do real research and talk to real owners.

  • she sounds like she is faking an accent or she just has a really annoying voice! She needs to gargle with some load!

  • I love this channel!

( and her too! hahahaha )

  • no wonder our world now is full of diseases that we just can't for sure know the 'cause...

even our basic food ingredients have poisonous chemicals...

  • Wired is Full of Jive, This is another attempt by the Government to cover up electric cars, Its called a Smear Campaign.

  • Perky little boobs with no bra is the best part of this video. Zap information is a distant second.

  • AGREED

  • actually, the Smart Fortwo (one of the cars you showed) has made it to the US, as I've seen them on the road (with steering wheels on the left side). But these cars all suck anyways. give me a gas guzzling V6 anyday. After all, with everyone going green, SOMEONE's got to get plenty of CO2 out there for the trees!

  • you're a dumb ass.

  • am I? is that because I've seen the cars on the road, or because trees breathe in CO2, which we breath out, and for that reason I don't consider it a pollutant?

  • Water isn't a pollutant either but you can still drown in it.

  • That's because you can't breathe in it. Plants BREATH IN C02, and exhale oxygen, which we breath.

  • Sorry, I made that sound wrong. I didn't mean they breath it in the same way we do.

  • I am awre that plants use CO2 and emit oxygen. However, elevated CO2 levels do the plant and planet no good. Some plants will grow bigger with elevated CO2, not all and even then all the other needs of the plant must be met before they can take advantage of any extra. What needs? Proper nutrients, water, temperature and humidity range are some.

  • Do trees also breath in Sulfur Oxides? how about Nitrous Oxides? or how about the infamous Carbon Monoxide? or did you not know that the usage of Gasoline releases more than just CO2?

there are about 150 chemicals in petrol fuels, lead is still added in some places.

  • eat organic or you'll die

  • How much of this "water for fuel" stuff will we be subjected to? Put a greater load on your engine while it generates more wattage to feed through water to (inefficiently) liberate hydrogen that you then burn in your engine to make a fraction of the original energy contained in the electricity you forced your car's electrical system to create. Rube Goldberg drive is more like it...

  • dude shes hot. like yeah.....no seariously she really is tho.

  • ALL of zaproot's videos are actually very interesting and informative, please post more videos.

  • I adoreee Zaproot!!! and its host! but shes talking slower than before. I know a lot of people said it was too fast but I used to love the energy she used to put into saying a bunch of things per second. Go back to your origins please.

    Cheers!

  • sexy, intelligent, and environmentally active.

    hott!

  • You rock, Zaproot! I'm a newly suscribed suscriber (lol) and can't wait to see more episodes. Very well presented. Keep it up! :)

  • I am really afraid she is anorexic, hey Jessica if you read these please you are really too skinny you look unhealthy you should put on a few more pounds seriously I mean that in the nicest way possible and PPl before you tell me I'm mean look at her arms at

  • Some people are just naturally skinny. And her arms aren't even that skinny. (Chill) (:

  • 'Her arms aren't even that skinny'. That could be interpreted as a bit offensive.

Jessica, you are absolutely perfect the way you are, and you seem to have an excellent mind and personality, behind your beautiful face.

  • My arms are not skinny! They are solid steel baby!!! You clearly did not see my guns.

    Jess

  • Sure, Jess, Darringers are guns...small guns you can slip out of your garter to fire off a couple rounds at some Lothario who has impugned your honor. Yes, that still fits the definition of a "perfect lady", at least in the 1890's.

  • It's sad how the global obesity epidemic has gotten so out of hand, that healthy weight now appear anorexic to people. I weigh over 200 pounds and have clear signs of the start of a pot belly when sitting; yet people still call me skinny. I'm at the max weight for my height. Any more and I'm over weight. Everybody is just used to looking at fat people.

  • If u r like 6 foot 6, being 200 pounds is totally fine.

  • I'm 6'5". I'm quite happy with my weight. Large people or people who are close to large people often think I'm skinny. I don't feel skinny, I feel normal.

  • Up a tree lol. Thats eco friendly. lol.

  • i like the subscribe add :C

  • ad*

  • loose the 'subscribe-add' in the end,

    the rest is really nice!

  • ok, i'm finaly aboput to get my effing cheeko bag or whatever, cuz platic bad sucks, and sufficate small children!

  • Veggies are good.

  • Yeah we really Need to get our Crops Together.

Another Fun Ep DS JW N' Company!

  • Speed Zaproot...zoom...

    ;)

  • I like these videos, but, grapefruit is not a veggie. Please be more careful. Avocados and tomatoes are fruit. Just a fun fact. I want my free bag.

  • i love these zaproot videos. However i would like them to perhaps take a deeper look at why insectacides are still used: primarily because their cheap, most areas where our food comes from are in places where farmers are not protected by economic laws and rely on cheaper methods to ensure a crop season so they can feed their families and communities. its not as easy as it seems to simply not use pesticides, we need another method to solve the prblem.

  • I agree with you. I wish they discussed the possible trade offs and definitely added the health effects of the pesticide at hand. I know I will research it, but most people who watch this video won't.

  • ooooo man. thats terrible to hear about that with zap. i had high hopes for them.

  • That's what I call inreresting education)

  • it sure is pretty entertaining too.

  • i think pesticides should just be wiped out completely, whats the need in it, i know it stops bugs and stuff but it dont make out food any better!

  • Pesticides are pretty useful. Without them, we would have a lot less food due to the bugs eating it all. That's why having more food or healthier food is such a trade-off.

  • they should grow all the crops underneath giant nets... or bubble domes! bubble domes are the solution to EVERY problem

  • so eat the bugs.

  • You do realize that if we didn't have pesticides, there would be a world food shortage, food would be triple, maybe quadruple what it is now, and rationing would be very frequent. Doesn't sound any better at all.
