The song Layla is an epic, the first few minutes it has that classic rock "feel" then at the end it has 2-3 minutes worth of piano "vamp" - the entire trailer is the same song, but just two different parts, making it seem like different songs.
Cool trailer. My comments: the trailer should focus more on the luxury, the decadence of life in the mafia, because that's what the movie is about. Secondly, the titles around 0:26 are totally out of place. As for the rest, I think this trailer is very well put together.
My Top 10 Mob Films 1Scarface 2The Godfather 3Goodfellas 4Carlito's Way 5Donnie Brasco 6Cassino 7Once Upon A Time In America 8The Untouchables 9America America 10American Gangster
this is one of my favourite movies and my dad has gone to new york on bisness and had to go to the foulton fish market where most of it is ran by the mafia
Thanks, goodfella. I used the main portion of the song because throughout the beginning of the film these guys were like rock stars...living it up like kings.
the music in the begining was perfect, because it made the mob life seem like the only life and then when the other music came on it showed its dark side which was how the movie was
I love this movie. This is my favorite gangster movie.

DePalma's def wasn't a mob film.

have you seen Miller's Crossing? a little darker and slower than most mob films, but very good nonetheless. I think you'd like it.

Love Miller's Crossing. About the Irish mob circa 1930s. Flawless film.

josatinho 4 years ago 2
Martin Scorsese has directed Robert DeNiro in 8 films. They are as follows :
1) Mean Streets (1973)
2) Taxi Driver (1976)
3) New York, New York (1977)
4) Raging Bull (1980)
5) The King Of Comedy (1983)
6) Goodfellas (1990)
7) Cape Fear (1991)
8) Casino (1995)
'Taxi Driver' is my favorite of their collaborations.
