The wiring can NOT be replaced. I did know that some of the products are available in the UK, so must mean that they are wired for your electric service? I will check that out further for you. You may also call 1-800 Lit-town, however, I not sure that works internationally?
The Train is from Department 56 and I bought the track at a Train Shop. I was lucky because the Engine actually fit on the track. It's not a working train, except for the lights and it's part of an ongoing series from them. The Engine and cars are available at retailers. If you need a source, I can help...

Is it possible to replaced the wiring , motors in these models ( im assuming so ) ?
I dont thini the motors will work in the uk because of the 50 Hz outlets they have, if i sent it as gift.
