@68nevets68 If he thinks this is bad soloing, he is either a retard or fast enough at guitar to power the International Space Station. I have a sneaking suspicion in is the former ;)
@MikeToddOnline they are all about speed and math on music...don't damn me:racer X is my favorite band..i just think a commercial song like livin' the hard way needed a different approach..
This is the one song that made it to my over the road mp3 list. They have to kick ass or they don't make it. I have to drive all night. I love this song, always have.
@GnariusFestivus yes. I actually learned a lot about remastering because some songs I could hear but some did not cut through the engine noise. In Cakewalk Music Creator 3, they left some mastering tools from Sonar Producer in but on my laptop I couldn't hear (audio was messed up in Cakewalk for some reason at the time). So I tried to guess what it needed and then carefully raised the volume (for some reason you could not clip in CMC 3 either but you could create distortion).
@Whyrendog So over the course of three years I remastered Racer X, Richie Kotzen, Whitesnake, Michael Lee Firkins, Vinnie Moore, Marty Friedman, and a few 80s metal tunes. Interestingly enough I still prefer them even though I do not have to cut through engine noise. I wish I could share them. Wonder if I could make a before and after with clips (fair use?)...anyway you find stuff to do on the road because you are always in the middle of nowhere if you try to run all your hours out.
@GnariusFestivus I recommend if you can get a CDL and go out for one year you will see the country and feel proud of yourself and America. Then once you see everything, run at night because day traffic sucks. I was working 20 hours in the day sometimes. At night I NEVER drove more than 11 hours, and had a lot of 720 mile days going the speed limit and running legal. But also that was squeezing three shifts into two days sometimes (hours of service are like living on a different planet lol).
@Whyrendog thanks man, sounds like a fucking plan! I run a fish truck in RI, I go to Mass pick up fish bring it to whoever orders - never got my CDL though! It's a small family biz but I gotta get that before I got stopped! Shit I'm gonna go get that ASAP.
@GnariusFestivus I like RI, and all the NE states, even though they have those little roads and winding curves. I went to all 48 inland states and didn't go to NE until after my first year (scares noobs away I guess lol)...NY/Vermont/NH/Maine are alot like going out west but doesn't drag on for thousands of boring miles. If you have been around Boston then you have experience with how most metro areas get. Try not to be in a hurry, I had some real butt clinching moments all metro. related
@GnariusFestivus Good luck with the CDL...I think if you go to Schneider or one of the big truck company sites and even if you don't want to work for them, fill out an interest form because one of them sent me a CDL study test that was quite useful. If you already drive, then it should be just a matter of knowing how to explain your pre trip inspection, doing an air brake check, and forcing yourself to use your mirrors as much as possibl, backing, and watching your trailer tires.
PG made this band possible.
