I was at the cow palace when Super Joe missed the landing ramp and hit the wall, I remember thinkin he was probably dead, I was about 10 or 11 yrs old, if I remember right there were hay bails against the wall where he hit, he didnt even touch the landing ramp, he landed to the side of it, craziest thing I ever seen.
The 1st time he did that jump he slipped on a soda someone dropped and hit the hey bails hard. Broke his back and a few other bones. The jump in this video he did not get hurt. He hated jumping indoors. Evil never beet that jump it was the indoor world record.
All I have to say is Super Joe was one of my childhood hero's, Evel was too, and being at tha Cow Palace that night is something I will never forget! thanks Joe !!
