@naryanr Haha, such a child, maybe you'll grow up one day but I'm not going to stick around to watch. Don't worry though, I'm sure your mummy and daddy will run out and buy you your imaginary new toy lol. What a joke lol. See you around kid.
anyways...sure, companies use it for programming and other business use.
That doesn't mean people who use it for other stuff love mac. I've met many people who have been with mac for a long time, and even they think pc is better. Also, name one of the most brilliant and most innovative companies is the WORLD who use macs, in fact, tell me 2, because you used the word companies.
you do know other companies have been doing it for longer? muuuuch longer? Apple is basically the computer for noobs. once you have figured out that mostly everything has been built for pc, you'll switch to pc.
no, all windows are minimized to an icon without text and the taskbar looks differend. i have both Vista and Win 7 on my computer. The taskbar are bigger and the you can see hole the windows logo on the bottomleft corner of the screen
Why say it's Windows 7 if it's obviously just some software and touchscreens? There's the same things in the HP TouchSmart (is that what that computer is called) touchscreen computer. It runs ont Vista.
lol dont think Apple is the first on with a touch screen.. actually the techonlogy is pretty old.. from the 1971. the first touch sencor is from 1971 and its Elo TouchSystems, not Apple.. and in the 1970' the first tru touch screen came out...
lol know we know why XP is best operating system then Vista and SEVEN. XP to 6 years to make. Vista i think was 3 or 4years. and now SEVEN in like 3 or 2 years.
Actually windows seven has been in progress since shortly after xp was released, abandoned for a couple years then reimplemented. Also, Seven uses the Vista same kernel as Vista so its not like they are starting from scratch. Vista runs so much better than xp when you have the proper hardware. People who don't keep up with technology shouldn't expect to be able to put new operating systems that use that new technology on their computers and have them work effectively.
Vista gets such a bad wrap because people suck at buying good computers that can keep up with technological advances for more than a couple years. eg: prebuilt crapbox computers from bestbuy.
Perhaps people hate Vista because they average 20fps less on Vista vs XP on games, accelerated graphics programs, and HD movies? Perhaps Vista has a bad reputation because overall it's a sluggish experience puctuated with frequent "Are you sure you wanna do that? This is happening - are you ok with this?" questions.. Or maybe it doesn't offer enough new features that home consumers care about? Who gives a dump about improved security.. Lets see something new and grand!
Listen Up! This aint tru anymore. Now after implementing SP1 into Vista, performance is the SAME as it were on XP, or in some cases even better. So quite bashing Windows Vista. It's awesome, im using a laptop rite now with vista home premium, it runs GREAT. Boots up in 38 seconds, not your Mac OS X boot up time, but quick nonetheless.
Very true.. you do need a high end computer to run vista smoothly... windows 7 will be designed more for the multi-core and will be great on the new nehalem systems coming out.. you will need to upgrade
Not at all. It is a really nice technology for an Tablet PC but let us not forget that Tablet PCs did not sell well.
And if you have typed a longer piece of text on an virtual keyboard you will understand why keyboards won't disappear anytime soon.
Multi touch is great for a few uses, but i think Microsoft is making a mistake focusing so much on it. It is very displaced on an Laptop and you have to keep in mind that touchscreens have disadvantages too (less brightness/contrast).
Just think: in the future, people will be balancing their pc laptops on their lap while trying to pull off tricky non-ergonomic multi-touch maneuvers while getting their index fingerprints all over their screen.
I think Apple's use of multi-touch on the trackpad of their laptops was much better implemented.
i think the whole idea of viewing files as objects will make a big difference in future computer interfaces.
in one concept sketch made by someone workin for windows, photo's will now appear on the screen with no border or interface. and then when you rollover with the mouse, (or touch) options will appear. These could be things like "Edit" "Close" whatever.
I made a prototype of this in flash, and while it took me a while, the end result was a really nice way to interact.
I see it just as a feature that you CAN use, not as the main way to use the UI. I'm sure there will be some programs developed that will take full advantage of being able to use the screen instead of a mouse.
As a person that has a touch screen cell phone I'm not too concerned about having fingerprints on the screen.
Im also wondering how practical this would be in the user experience.
Imagine that we have been using this type of navigation from the beginning. Wouldn't we be inventing the mouse so that we wouldn't have to hold our hands on a screen?
For a kiosk or other limited entertainment purposes, something this interactive would be useful. But as far as productivity and practicality are concerned, I cannot see this pushing the envelope.

That picture of the kid with his tongue out ~ is that a young Steve Ballmer?
{...maybe a junior Knight In Satan's Service...}
Snow Leopard will bite Windows 7 in the Ass ~ Cheetah will get it by the throat...
Here's a Voice Over for the ads:
"Mac oss TEN ~ three more and THEY *might* catch up."
I want to pitch this one too ~ We see a whole bunch of happy people, one after another, and they all say to camera, "i WAS a PC"
{no wonder Ballmer SWEATS SO MUCH ~ 7 has gotta work for Microsuck!}

umm ok lets clear this up lol windows vista only supports single finger touch, windows 7 is going to have multi touch like apple uses currently.

Hmm, then why does it look as much as that like Vista? All you need is a driver and there you go.
