  • Cute kid, but of course toeing the line of the billionaire class. The fact is that limiting the discussion to the Forbes 400 is incredibly artificial. The fact is that the top 1% own 40% of the nation's wealth. The top 1% means about 1 million super-rich, not 400. And 40% of an estimated $60 Trillion total is $24 Trillion. Those folks could pay off the national debt and still have $10 million each.

  • @notgump Too bad there's nothing wrong with amassing fortunes if you do it through mutually beneficial free trades. Now you have to convince me that there's nothing wrong with taking all that money from those people, through the use of coercive force. Good luck.

  • This really puts into perspective the level of F up going on. Can't understand how people with working brains can reject cuts when you have soooooo much debt.

  • Oh.and seeing that Michael Moore puppet make's me want to watch TEAM AMERICA WORLD POLICE again!

  • Michael Moore,a whackjob who seems to be more generous with other people's money than his own.

  • This video is a textbook example of the "Strawman Fallacy"

The problem Moore addressed in his speech was not the deficit, but the failed economy. And the solution he proposed was not taking away every penny owned by billionaires, it was making them pay their fair share and regulating the financial industry. Please learn to not use fallacies.

  • @loveofphysics, California has the highest taxes and highest unemployment rates in America. In California, the overwhelming majority of State Legislatures are Democrats (and have been for quite some time)

Question: How come these Democrats (who are funded mostly by Public Employee Unions) do not do something to take ME, (at $50,000/year) out of the top tax bracket? Answer: Because there is not enough rich people left to pay for the pensions and health care of their state workers.

  • Michael Moore on communism that even a first grader can understand. Gotta love him.

  • Who cares what mikey moore thinks. He's an American-hating socialist, he's just ashamed to be called a socialist so he is a liberal but they're ashamed of that too and no American would support that so they're progressive! LOL

  • Hey Moore you are a scab hiring hypocrite....

  • Michael Moore is a national resource. We should confiscate his fat body, and get him on a bicycle generating energy.

If only we could convert lies and vitriol into power, we'd solve the energy crisis by harnessing his fat mouth.

  • If Moore's plan were to be implemented, there would be another civil war in this country. And I'd be one of the people taking up arms against Moore and his Bolsheviks.

  • Strawman sophistry by someone suffering from Stockholm syndrome.

  • "State of Wisconsin isnt broke" - I guess the previous governor who admitted he was 3 billion short of the next budget (why he didnt rerun for re-election).

Maybe Moore isn't so worried about the "rich" losing anything, because he's lost his own ass on his last two movies. Well, not his LITERAL ass; it's as big as the deficit.

  • ROTFL!

    Hilariously on point!

  • Laaxe, Do you really believe what you are saying. DO you know how to check for facts. Obama has doubled in 1 yr the debt that it took W 8 yrs to do. I am against all deficit spending. it is time to start PAYING our bills instead of putting them on a different credit card.

  • You realize congress and the senate run this country too right? It's more then just the president hahaha

  • And over the last 30 years, exactly how many Democrat Presidents have racked-up a deficit during their term? Not frigging one. You Reps have done such a proud job! Take it all! Just take it! We'll farm, and you can starve.

  • @laaxe what about now ?

    This Democratic President ?

Who the F cares what some other President did when we are going further and further into debt under THIS President

  • @laaxe umm, aren't you forgetting about King Obama. I know he doesn't act like a President so I understand your confusion when you say no Democrat President but technically he is still in the President position. And everyone knows he has racked up more debit than any President in US history. Fortunately, he will be gone in 2012; I just hope we can hang on that long.

  • @DSketti - that was kind of his point. He's basically saying "who cares about Bush when Obama is accumulating debt at triple the rate of Bush?"

  • @Slipknotyk06 umm, how did you get that from laaxe's statement?

  • @DSketti - My bad, my mind wasn't functioning at full strength. I confused cokefueledrage's comment for the one you were replying to.

  • @laaxe

That's flat-out false. We had deficits under every Democrat president during those 30 years.

  • @groenhagen Don't believe me, then check-out the CBO figures at wikipedia's "National debt by U.S. presidential terms" page. Sure, Obama's is high, but a president alone does not cause such a deficit. If you'll recall, 700 billion was handed to to Wall Street by Bush & Co., as those damned Dems were protesting that action. And How many billions did Boehner want for the redundant F-35 engines? Then how many Rep. Gov's & congress members photo-op'ed the stimulus bill benefits to their states? lol

  • @laaxe Then you should ask yourself, since the House controls the budget, how many deficits were created by Democrat controlled houses vs. Republican controlled houses.

  • @Logan0006 I have, thank you. I then considered Desert Storm under H.W., and Iraqi Shield/Freedom, and Afghanistan under W, and the worst financial crisis of the past 80 years, preceeded by a decade of greed from outsourcing overseas, costing our country millions of manufacturing jobs, as tariffs & taxes are a thing of the past.

Moore's a dope 2/3 of the time, and there are boatloads of "fairness" programs which need thinning, but to radically cling to "trickle-down" & Rep. dogma, is naive.

  • @laaxe My point was after 30 years (Truman to Reagan, and nearly all Democrat congress), there was virtually NO DEFICIT! Even during Viet Nam. And Reagan manages to take us way into debt without even a war!? How does that happen? Those Dems voted to invade, as the Bush's decided to spend TRILLIONS on wars which have resuled in a frigging stalemate. I'm no Dem., but don't you even smell a little BS?

  • @laaxe Clinton put military spending at a very low level for almost a decade. The decade before 9/11, leaving the US very vulnerable. He did so because he could, because of Ronald Reagan's defense buildup. So no Reagan buildup, no Clinton surplus. And leaving us vulnerable to 9/11 with an underfunded military? That was brilliant in retrospect. Not.

  • @BlackRepublican2010 How many Billions do you have to spend to secure America against a relatively small group of radicals? My whole family are decorated Marines, and you think a trillion would have stopped a group of dipshits with a cause? Reagan's build-up sure made us safer, right? Gimme a break!

  • @laaxe Clinton passed NAFTA. Are you saying you give the Democrats a pass because the President started a war? So, Bosnia doesn't count, since Clinton just sent troops without going through Congress?

Radically clinging to the belief that the Government can solve your issues and take care of you is naive and been proven wrong time and time again.

  • @Logan0006 Read this!"Following diplomatic negotiations dating back to 1986 among the three nations, the leaders met in San Antonio, Texas, on December 17, 1992, to sign NAFTA. U.S. President George H. W. Bush, Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and Mexican President Carlos Salinas, each responsible for spearheading and promoting the agreement, ceremonially signed it. The agreement then needed to be ratified by each nation's legislative or parliamentary branch."

    (continued...

  • @laaxe Sure, Clinton signed it, but Bush worked years on it! Bush's BS war has cost us well over a trillion, and yes, the Dems fell for his/Cheney's BS. Bosnia was a NATO deal & hardly a "war" effort, like 100,000+ US troops in Iraq/Afgh. And where's Bin Laden? And if you had no govt., you'd have no roads, military, FBI, or agencies checking your water. No, lets give tax cuts to corps. who aren't hiring, hoarding money, & shipping jobs overseas. Now there's a real plan! Middle class? Screw'em!

  • @laaxe Can you do me a favor, are you wearing shoes? Reach down and pull the tongue of your shoe over so you can see the label. Made in China?

  • @Adammmm124 The small minded (and yes, I'm aware I'm alienating you), are well aware it is not just one American who's made us vulnerable. Since Nixon's making friends with China, we've been working our way toward "Free Trade!" POLITICIANS and Greenspan (who not unlike any other greedy screw, who cares about his own survival, and not just Dems or Reps), have fully screwed us in terms of lifting tariffs, and denouncing "Protectionism!" Look it up! The US has given it all away so India can work!

  • Comment removed

  • @laaxe You didn't answer the question about YOUR shoe.

So, are you saying that if we just raised tarriffs, that would solve these problems, and we can basically balance our budget and fix our deficit all with money generated from Tariffs as well as the extra tax revenues from a bigger economy?

Why did the US purposely give "it all away so that India can work"?

  • We dun need no stinkin facts!!

Keep on keeping on MKH. Excellent video showing just how ludicrous Moore and his socialist thought processes are when they meet reality.

  • So he didn't use a calculator before sharing this "solution" with every media outlet he could find? He is so brilliant!
