why were the prices so high for you guys for this camera? I didnt get mine with a free memory card but the camera only cost me $199.

it does but you have to set it on the HIGHEST quality, check out other vids this person obviously hasn't.

pretty poor quality. Is the quality much better before it's uploaded to youtube? My old ixus 70 shoots way better video...but it's broken now.

The best for youtube feature tends to downscale the quality of the video. There is a regulr movie mode though, and you can adjust everything, and it looks a lot better.
