I watched a video on the mig 25 some guy there claiming a design connection between the F14 and the mig 25. anyone know about that? sounds like the usual russian crap but I thopught I would enquire in case there was some truth to it.

@no4go2 The MiG-31 (which is seen as the descendant of the MiG-25) carries a long range air-to-air missile known as the Amos. It is a long range missile similar to the Phoenix that the F-14 carried.

The Mig-25 has more in common with the F-15 in that the F-15 was built to counter the MiG-25 (we thought that the MiG-25 was a superfighter until we got our hands on one from a Russian defector).
