just got a new rocker board and forum factions with the hinged base...screwing the base seems a little tougher with the thread locks...seems like i need to give it a lil preasure...as opposed to the old school screws with no thread lock where you can just screw it in with two fingers....is that normal??
@efaw5135 Well that depends. Its a little different for everybody and it its possible to over-tighten them. Sooooo No, do not tighten them as much as you can.
I just bought the 2011 Burton Freestyle Bindings and the baseplate looks pretty fancy, how do I know which holes to use? I have a four hole pattern with 5x2. Could you help me out?
@KeViiZle That can be normal. You really should check and tighten your bindings every time you go out. The vibrations from riding can shake them a little loose. So just for good maintenance and care give them a quick tighten before heading to the hill.
Quick Question Dave, When I remove the bindings, do the same thing as putting them on? Remove each screw a little bit, then go back around? Or Remove each screw in one go.
@LilOm3n Remove each screw a little bit and then go back around. If you take them out right away the binding will lift up from the board making the last screw super tight and almost impossible to get out. You'll end up rounding it out and then you won't ever be able to get your binding off. Oh and p.s. this is Kate, I took over for Dave on the questions just a little while ago.
@thehouseboardshop We just baught my little brother a 2012 burton chopper and we can only fit 2 of 4 screws from his 2008 burton custom bindings. its very sturdy and it doesnt move at all. what do you recomend we do?
@theseamanera You should only need three screws. Do the bindings only have 4 screw slots? I guessing the 2008 bindings came with another set of disc should fits buttons 3d insert pattern.
Dave I have a question. So I have a Ride Machete and the reference stance is 21.5 inch wide, centered. If I want to change it to 20.5, do I just move the back bindings by 1 notch (move it forward 1 set of holes) and leave the front bindings on? Or do I have to tweak both bindings again?
