I am not an atheist because of lack of evidence to support it. There are too many holes in the science backing up the claim of "the big bang". BIG holes. How was the universe created? Scientists cannot answer the simple question of why there is something instead of nothing. So, therefore, the belief in nothing is as stupid to me, as my belief in something is to you. Oh, and fyi... polyorchidism is the name of the three testicle anomaly you referred to.
@blaznlex1 That is just the raging theory of the day.. Sometime in the future someone will find a better theory, though i doubt it.
I find it amazing that you ignore that the existence of a god is also full of holes, just as much as the big bang theory.
Hence I am an agnostic because of that. I don't think humans will ever find a way to explain the origin of the universe. Theist Deist or Atheist, I am neither, rather, I am in the cross way, because there is no empirical evidence for both sides.
@blaznlex1 Don't forget, God, as well as the universe, need a time prior to their existence. However, following that, both routes will lead to circular motion. Thus the inquiry to the existence of the universe is something that is impossible to ever find out. Also, do not try and argue that god has a vague reason to exist, if you do then I can also argue that the universe has a vague reason to exist as well.
@blaznlex1 So if there is no evidence to support God, and the events before the big bang are undiscovered, you choose to believe in the unsupported claim instead of just saying "don't know"? Furthermore, atheists do not "believe in nothing". You know the latin for three testicle anomalies yet you fail to grasp the fundamentals of atheism. Fun stuff...
waw very nice video, 32 people don't like logic :|... For a while i thought i was agnostic and then found out that one must become agnostic when answering a question about god... Then later i found out i was athiest... It's a hard thing to do :| when the bible doesn't make any sense, and one gets out of it through their own will.. Very good video :)..
Faith= accepting a thing without it bieng treu (the belive it).. believe = faith..... and where back at the beginning....lolzz at religious peoplet... they live in a viscious circle
One atheist who claims with 100% certainty that there is no god - ZOMGItsChriss :D :D :D Seriously, watch her latest videos (if you haven't). I am not saying I am opposing her view, nor am I saying that I support it. I just find it pretty funny, you should check it out :D
Belief is inherently not a choice. Even if presented with shittons of evidence that would argue against God's existence, most theists will continue to believe. They don't CHOOSE to believe, they just do.
I agree with everything else you said, but that one was just wrong. The very nature of belief is that it can't be chosen.
Please visit my channel for the unpopular truth about homosexuality.
A person does not need hatred or any kind of phobia in order to acknowledge important differences between heterosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption and homosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption. Even non-religious people know this.
Homosexual activists, with support from the media, have succeeded at framing themselves as noble victims; it's an effective way to push a social agenda.
The other planets, which early religious people did not know about, don't support life, but some almost do. If the conditions were just a little different, they could support life as well.
@TheChristianRight09 That argument has been used far too many times. If you have millions and millions of possibilities something is bound to happen, and just because that something was us in this case, it doesn't mean that it destined to happen. And YES, random, that's how it goes. The otherbplanets,
A few examples of millions that if they had not occurred, for Human life to exist.
1.For starters without a molten rotating Iron core ,there would be no magnetic field .The solar wind would sterilize the planet,in less than a week.Wow. 2.Being located in the perfect location to have liquid water.
To finish.. 3.Having a moon to slow the spin of the Earth, without this the earth would rotate much faster generating winds of of hundreds of miles per hour.
In a random universe,it seems unlikely. Hows that, patterns ....................That defy ,the so called random universe..
A lot of planet's have moons bro. Learn your science before you start trying to use it to prove god. Oh wait, if you did that, you would lose faith in god.
@NUTCASE71733 Ya... it doesn't take faith to believe that.... Seeing as you have no idea.... And nobody was there to see it.... And there is no proof.... And evolution is a theory.
PS: You make men of science look stupid. please, stop now. some of us would actually like to evolve some more. Let's find some evidence and leave the theory where theory belongs.. You know, the theory box.
"anyone who KNOWS how evolution works" Sound like a God damned preacher to me.
@TheChristianRight09 I hope you're trolling. To think that we are alone in this world is frankly improbable. The number of habitable planets has been estimated at well over 100 million. Just because we exist does not make us special. We are the products of a long line of "successful" evolution. Where we rely on tools and ability to problem solve to survive. There were other species like us - neanderthals for example, which we probably out-competed (killed). PS the moon sped up earths rotation.
@TehAntiCrash I agree of everything you have said, except for the moon part. Modern science says that most or all of the moon came from the Earth. Where does your logic sleep at night knowing it doesn't work? In fact, to completely rot out that statement, the Moon is in fact slowing down the Earths rotation due to the sun, and how the moon is moving slowly away from the Earth. Sorrybro.
I am a strong atheist! Why? Because all of the diligent hard work by contemporary men i.e. Newton, Galileo, Maxwell, Planck, Einstein, Hawking, Darwin, etc. cannot be tossed aside just because of some ridiculous assertion from bronze age men. god doesn't exist. We are simply an insignificant species in a vast universe.
I believe in Darwinism. I believe in evolution. I believe in the scientific method. I believe in establishing facts through empirical evidence. I believe in logic. I don't believe in any of the established religions. I fantasize (for want of a better word) that some intelligent force/being (call it God if you want) designed all "this". "This" being the spark that created nature and ignited the universe. It's not faith. It's conjecture. I'll stick with that until proven otherwise. Agnostic Theist
@BeavisNButtheadRock There are countless mysteries for which no scientific evidence currently exists. There will come a time when some of those mysteries are solved. Follow me here. If a mystery such as, what makes up 90% of the universe is not currently solved, then what does a scientist say about that? Better yet, what does an atheist say about that? Is there no room for conjecture in scientific endeavor? Isn't some of scientific discovery formed through conjecture? Is that, "faith"?
@txmoney First of all, I don't think anyone's ever said that science can know everything, because it can't, but it's still the best form of knowledge and reason we have on the planet. Second, just because we don't know what created the universe doesn't mean that we should insert a god in there. It's the same as back when people didn't know what caused lightning, so they said that zeus did it.
@txmoney Also, even if there was an all powerful god, he could create the universe in a millisecond if he so desired. Why would he choose to have it take millions of years? To answer your other question, scientific discoveries aren’t made with faith, they’re done with careful research and actual evidence. The very definition of conjecture is believing something without out sufficient proof, so yes, you’re believing in a god on faith.
@txmoney Finally, you say you don’t believe in organized religion which means you obviously don’t believe in the bible, or the Christian god. If that’s the case, even if the god you believe in existed anyway, it’s completely indifferent towards our existence. So why should we care if IT exists or not? Seems pretty pointless to me. Nevertheless, I will remain an atheist until there’s enough evidence to prove the existence of any deity. Peace.
Do you know how much goods are provided to the dying, and starving people of this world by those who believe in "fairy tales" and those who don't? Why don't you work up an algorithm that shows the difference?
What else really matters other than how much good we do? The reality of the effect that faith has is undeniable.
I am on your side bro but god can be disproved by using our history. We know who made up which god and when they did it. There is absolutely no evidence for any god so why should anyone believe it?
P.S. Atheism has no beliefs at all. It is only the REJECTION of all gods and nothing else. It holds no beliefs or opinions about anything at all in the entire universe.
@mymojorisin you have to include the @PaulsEgo If you believe there is no evidence for the supernatural or all that exists is natural those are a priori faith statements. See my other posts regarding naturalism from wiki, or visit the page for yourself. Mind over matter has been proven by Dean Radin Ph.d, that has no natural explanation. People experience life after death, that has no natural explanation. Awareness apart from neurophysical brain states has no natural explanation.
You keep trying to change the subject form your bald face lie about Atheism. Once you have been caught with such an obvious lie, everything you say after that becomes suspect and has to be scrutinized for more lies.
There has never been anything documented in human history that qualifies as supernatural. That is why you need faith to believe it because there is NO EVIDENCE. Of course that will not stop you from spreading your lies.
@mymojorisin Dean Radin Ph.d in pyschology, specializing in PARAPSYCHOLOGY has proven mind over matter, that would be the SUPERNATURAL, at a MILLION to ONE ODDS!
If you start off with the position that no evidence exists then you're going to miss it when it's presented to you. That's not being a realist, or even a skeptic, it's being a DENIALIST! Of course this doesn't make sense to you, you've already made up your MIND, and no amount of prima facie evidence is going to change it. Pls. stop
LOL Your going to use Ghost Busters to prove your fantasy? Parapsychology is not real science that is why they put the word "Para" in front of it. LOL Ghost Busters, Who you going to call?
The U.S. National Academy of Sciences concluded that their is "no scientific justification from research conducted over a period of 130 years for the existence of any parapsychological phenomena".
Your Ghost Buster is a FRAUD, just like your Moon Worshiping Religion.
@mymojorisin You mean the National Academy of Science concluded in 1988? Dean Radin's research has over 1000 peer reviewed articles and 90 labs set up and tens of thousands of experiments have been run that prove mind over matter at a million to one odds, the research is going on at a mad pace while I'm writing this!
What does please stop mean to you? It means I can't convince you! I don't like people demeaning me from a foundation of ignorance, I get enough of that from my wife.
LOL If you are tired of being mistaken for the village idiot then get an education.
A lab coat and beakers do not make a scientist. You must do actual science, not Ghost Busting, to be a scientist. Leave the Paranormal Research to Hollywood. By the way do you know where the name Hollywood comes from. The ancient druids had "magic" wands made from the wood of the Holly tree. Thus Hollywood is where the magic comes from. LOL almost like your Moon worshiping.
@mymojorisin Dean Radin, PhD, is Senior Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) and Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Psychology at Sonoma State University. a concert violinist shifted into science after earning a BSEE degree in electrical engineering, magna cum laude and with honors in physics, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and then an MS in electrical engineering and a PhD in psychology from the University of Illinois,
For a decade he worked on advanced telecommunications R&D at AT&T Bell Laboratories and GTE Laboratories. For over two decades he has been engaged in consciousness research. Before joining the research staff at IONS in 2001, he held appointments at Princeton University, University of Edinburgh, University of Nevada, and several Silicon Valley think-tanks, including Interval Research Corporation and SRI Inter. he worked on a classified program investigating psychic phenomena for the US government
@mymojorisin I liked Ghostbusters 1 and 2. I'm friends with a Notre Dame grad who knew the priest who performed the exorcism the movie THE EXORCIST is based on. He recorded the child speaking in Aramaic, a dead language the child had never been exposed to.
You just can't find any evidence of the supernatural the same way a thief can't find a cop or an idiot a book, but you got all the answers.
LOL Your Moon god is an invention of the Babylonians about 5000 years ago. It is easy to trace religion through history
You need to find evidence for your imaginary god. The proof you are sighting is false and is unanimously dismissed by the scientific community All con games requires the mark to have faith, there is no evidence for something that does not exist
The world ends when you die, there is no afterlife
@mymojorisin You're laughing out loud, you're asking me for more evidence, and condemning me to eternal sleep all in one message.
Right, assuming that no evidence exists requires that no evidence can be found, none exists. Do you think I don't know what your position is after you've sloppily stated it 7 times now?
Prejudice is PRE-Judging a matter before hearing any facts. No matter the quality and quantity of the evidence, it will never meet the standard of proof necessary to overcome.
You are a silly little man, that is true. However I did not come to my current understanding of religion overnight. I have been studying Christianity since I was a child and religion in general sense I was 18. It did not take me that long to figure out the con game
Some people develop theory of mind and some do not. If you did not develop theory of mind or your understanding of it is retarded then you will probably be religious
@PaulsEgo Sorry, but atheism is rooted in theism. The very defintion of atheism is: the doctrine or belief that there is no God. Even naturalism is a faith statement: Naturalism (Philosophy) is the belief that only natural laws and forces (as opposed to supernatural ones) operate in the world and that nothing exists beyond the natural world. There's a non-profit atheist church in Texas, and Logic is a discipline of Philosopy not atheism! Atheists don't use logic, want precedents?
@shizzleman8 Man how many times does this simple shit need to be explained to people like you? Someone who has never heard of the concept of God is an atheist, so thats your silly doctrine and belief claim out the window. If you can't say, "i believe in god X" you're an atheist. It doesn't matter to what certainty you put that statement.
You need to define "faith". Because you're clearly redefining it from the religious sense. Faith, in the religious sense, is believing something with no..
@BeforeTheNoose A person who has never heard the concept of God can't be godless, they would have no frame of reference. Atheism is a religion, believing God doesn't exist is believing about religion. You can't be an atheist and irreligious at the same time. You can be a naturalist, and not an atheist, and therefore irreligious/non-religious at the sametime, your misguided faith being in the laws of nature explaining everything without addressing theism,
@shizzleman8 "A person who has never heard the concept of God can't be godless" Easily one of the stupidest statements i've read on youtube in a long time, and thats up against some stiff competition. If you haven't heard of the concept of a god, such as a baby, then you can not believe in said god - ergo you're an atheist.
Its not a religion, whos our pope? What book do we follow dogmatically? What tenants do we have? Stop lying, it only shows you have no arguments.
@BeforeTheNoose the words no, none, and lack are all quantifiers, they represent an amount of something, the subject matter that makes atheism a religion are FAITH and GOD(S), not the quantitiy of faith. It's been ruled a religion here in the USA, there are atheist churches with charitable non profit tax status. Google is atheism a religion? Recent Judicial perspectives. I'm lacking enough money to play the roulette wheel, I can still play the nickel slots. I'm still a gambler in a casino.
@shizzleman8 Please stop and try to educate yourself! You're just making yourself look more and more ignorant with every post. How do i manage to know more about your country than you do!! And the google statement is a monument to stupidity. Google "is Scientology true"...actually Google "atheism isn't a religion". Its not, in american the government only classed it as a religion so it would fairly get the same rights as a religion. There is no faith, no tenants and no dogmas ...
@shizzleman8 .. and you have yet to point any of those out which are associated with atheism. Its SO simple, if you can't say "I believe in god X" you're an atheist. Thats it. Please try to understand this before one of us dies.
You're using an equivocation fallacy on the word faith as well. Having religious faith isn't the same as having faith that when you sit on a chair it'll support your weight. Its another dishonest tact that christians love so much. Please state what faith all ...
@shizzleman8 atheists have?! Burden of proof is on you because you're making the claim there is a god. All the atheist is saying is "i don't believe you because you've presented no evidence". Again this is primary school stuff which you should know. I claim the underpants gnomes are living in your bed, do you have faith they don't?
@BeforeTheNoose God is the established position, positive and negative aren't meaningful in claims. You need me to prove when, where, why, who, how, what, in what way and by what means God has been established? My first recommended channel is Open Philosophy Dr. Dennis Polis a Ph.d in Theoretical Physics form Notre Dame President & Scholarship winner who's worked in that field his whole life, he's 70 now, has 33 videos that build a layer at at time to prove the mind apart from the brain, k?
@shizzleman8 You're naturalism claim doesn't work either. All that is required of me to be an atheist is lack a belief in god, nothing else. If you can't answer "yes" to the question of "is there a god" you're an atheist. I can be an atheist and believe the world was created by aliens, like the raelians do. I could be an atheist and believe this isn't real and we're living in the matrix. So stop lying, stop making shit and try to debate honestly just for once.
@BeforeTheNoose The answer you should be giving is "Not my problem". I've never lied once in my life, I only get extremely creative about the truth!
First principles, Clarice. Simplicity. Read Marcus Aurelius. Of each particular thing ask: what is it in itself? What is its nature? What does he do, this man you seek? ref. Silence of the Lambs
What is the subject that you're studying on? Aliens, god, creation or relgion? How can you study on lack of faith in god(s) and it not be relgious?
@shizzleman8 Atheism is not a religion, this is why the famous atheists, like richard dawkins, don't debate with creationists, I can sense by just you're comment, you're brainwashed beyond repair, reasoning with you is impossible, if you think atheism is a religion, you don't even have a basic understanding of what atheism is, peroid.
@shizzleman8 .. evidence, and in Christianity its a virtue as outlined in the bible. Atheism does not assume any positive claim of the nonexistence of a god. There is no pope, doctrine, or dogma. You need to educate yourself, or stop lying.
I hate to use this argument, but seeing as you've made such an old and refuted point i'm going to have to. I takes no more faith to be an atheist than it does to disbelief in unicorns.
@BeforeTheNoose Naturalism and atheism are both beliefs, they're fatih statements, what YOU'RE not realizing is how POWERFUL faith is. I could present you with all the evidence in the world, I practice the Law, and you'd still be in denial. You're not providing me with any evidence, case authorities or expert opininons only your own groundless driviel. I'm all stocked up here on basketball not being a sport. lol There are single horned animals like the Indian Rhino, try again. I don't claim
@shizzleman8 Actually, they are not faith statements, you need to provide proof on why they are faith statements, just claiming something is not good enough, even though you religious folk think it is, faith IS powerful, it leads people to die for there cause, but that doesn't mean it's good, if you have faith that an unsafe bridge is safe, and you drive on it, you're probably going to die. Also, if you have such stunning proof, that'd leave atheists in complete denial, present it, or gtfo.
@halflifefan84 Naturalism is the BELIEF that only natural laws and forces operate in the world and that nothing exists beyond the natural world. Natural laws are those we live with daily, for example, it gets dark at night. Natural laws also include the laws of modern science, such as those describing electrons, black holes and DNA. The strict naturalist believes that there are no supernatural agents or events, i.e., that there are only natural objects and events. - wiki Who's religious again?
@shizzleman8 I probably should have thought that more through, naturalism is a somewhat faith based position, but atheism isn't. Faith is believing something without evidence, not disbelieving something without evidence, which is what atheism is.
@halflifefan84 Relgion, atheism, and naturalsim are all faith based. They teach courses on evidence, and evidentuary procedure at law school. For a rudimentary understanding try: Burdens of Proof, standards of proof, standards of evidence. Empiricism asserts that knowledge comes (only or primarily) via sensory EXPERIENCE as opposed to rationalism which asserts that knowledge comes (also) from pure thinking. Detective Joe Friday: "Just the facts Ma'am". - Dragnet.
You are a lier and a moron to boot. Atheism is NOT a doctrine or belief of any kind. It is the REJECTION of all gods. It holds no other opinions on anything.
You Christians are so dishonest it is unbelievable. How do you look yourself in the mirror in the morning?
God = Jesus Christ = Sun = Sun Worship = 1.5 Billion Christian Fools
P.S. The purpose of all religions is to septate the fool from his money. Any old myth will work for this con.
@mymojorisin 6 opinions in your first paragraph, TWO sentences! You incorrectly label me as a christian and then make an assumption what I do based on that assumption. You can't be the prosecutor and testify for the defense at the same time, that would be a conflict of interest.
Shizzleman8 is a Jewish moniker Einstein! The 8 represents infininty, the lemiscate, circumcision, the cutting of the covenant on the EIGHTH DAY.
How can you learn anything objectively when you have a position?
Sun worshiper, Moon worshiper, it makes no difference to me. You are still worshiping a make believe god, and you are still a fool of biblical proportions
This is YouTube not a court of law. What a dumb-ass
Because you tried to change the subject I will say it again. You are a lier and a moron. Atheism is NOT a doctrine or belief of any kind. Atheism is the REJECTION of all gods, including your Moon god Jehovah, and nothing else
Faith= Assumption. Assumption isn't anything but a starting point of belief to get through day to day living. But can we use faith to prove the existence of any god? I don't think so.
What we cannot measure we cannot know. So at best all I can hope for is an agnostic view. An open-minded approach.
Your faith is sincere. I can respect you, your opinions, your emotions and thinking. But I cannot accept your arguments as true without proof.
An agnostic errs on the side of there being some sort of god but isn't willing to comment on it further than that. An atheist does not argue a agnostic viewpoint he argues a atheist one.
He boldly claims there definatley is NOT a god that effects us here on earth and he is correct given scientific fact. What he does concede is the possibility of a god that sits about watching but makes no actions.
So if paul argues an agnostic view he is agnostic not atheist.
@jackanthem90 you do have sufficient evidence you choose not to accept it. What you seem to want is a system without doubt. Thats not Biblical. If there were no doubt there would be no faith. How many verses deal with faith? A lot. What does God require? Faith. If God removed faith what would He have? He would lose the relationship He created us for.
if you believe theists don't use logic and reasoning you are not doing your homework. thus you are taking on those you feel you can easily defeat in an argument. this only weakens your arguments among those who do use logic and reasoning, even among fellow atheists. don't take on the weaker minded of the a certain belief system. aim high.
I am a Pastafarian and I worship the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Many times I have been touched by his noodly appendage. On occasion I consume his flesh and blood
I could not sit thru a single one of 5thwatcher's vids, but i watched this the entire way thru. Very intelligent response to something so.... UNintelligible, lol.
@jackanthem90 Also, if it's a god we cannot yet describe (I would like to see the evidence for this claim), then how can you say with 100% certainty that the christian god is false?
@jackanthem90 Really, "possible" then means nothing. In that realm of logic, unicorns, bigfoot, giant three-headed snake-lobsters from Saturn, sea monsters, the boogeyman, faeries, pixies, goblins, trolls, ghosts, and leprechauns are all possible.
What reason is there to believe in a god but not in any of the things I just listed, if the mere possibility of something existing is all one should require?
@jackanthem90 No, I am not a moron. If I were to argue with a religious person, I would have to say that there is a possibility of "a" god but personally, I do know that there is no god. A god is defined as something supernatural, and supernatural creatures do not exist.
You can disprove God (A.K.A. Yaweh). God (Yaweh) is omnipotent and omnipotence is a paradox. Therefor, he is a logical fallacy. Here you go, God disproved in less than 15 seconds.
A god that is invisible and immaterial and does its best not to be discovered, now THAT isn't proveable/disproveable. It's the only reason I consider myself to be an agnostic and not an atheist.
Ouch, he failed before he even left the starting gate.
Seems most theists don't even know how the Atheist mind works, which leads to straw-man arguments, word games, and an overall warped sense of what is considered "logical".
LOL I thought his arguments sucked. Here's a question I have for atheists/evolutionists.
"Male monkeys that have sex with female monkeys, produce monkeys. If a man had sex with a camel, the camel would not produce a half camel/human or a manel. Nothing would happen. So if we, the human race, came from monkeys, would that mean we are the mutants?"
Objectively the statement, "I believe in god because I was raised to believe in god." is logical. Getting up in the middle of the night to take a piss while half asleep is not logical.
I feel confident that when I die, and IF there's a GOD that asks me directly "Why didn't you believe in me?", I could look him (it?) in the eye (s?) and say "Not enough evidence sir! Why the HELL couldn't you come down and prove your existence to rational thinkers if you really wanted mankind to know you exist, and THEN we could make a truly informed choice as to whether or not to follow you. Would you be happier if I FEIGNED belief out of fear or hope of reward?"
WE need to walk together in end times. Unbelievers will follow the anti-christ and believers will be saved. Faith is most important thing when world end comes. Revelations talks about NWO for ages. Will you wear the mark of the beast? Wake up!
The one with his eyes closed telling others to wake up.
Nice. Instead, contribute to the video with facts about god's existence, and maybe you can convert me to save me from the beast. Any mention of 'having to have faith' or anything like that disqualifies you. CAN YOU STEP UP TO THE CHALLENGE?
I see I still haven't wake you up. Nevermind it seems you have already chosen sides.I believe in you reap what you sowe and get what you give. Just be responsible for your own actions on this earth and after this earth and don't blame others. Peace.
I'm spiritual and i can explain my spirituality logically with ease. Believing in the magic sky wizard and being spiritual aren't the same thing. Did you listen to anything PaulsEgo says in any of his videos? He addresses the silliness and the fearful nature of blind faith directly.
it might not be possible to say that god does not exist with 100 percent certainty, but i think it can be argued that this can infact be said of the ch ristian god itslelf, and we have to keep that in mind
i love all of your arguments......im goin to use them.... you delve so deep..... i dispise every religion....for humanity to survive religion must die!!!
can i just ask if your a christian...you must believe that the "end"/"apocolipse" it could come any day now... does that not mean that it drains mans motivation to improve life here on earth?
I think that arguing gnostic atheism really depends on what you mean by know. If by know to a degree of absolute certainty that that gods don't exist then I would agree that it would be silly argue that. I see it more as a beyond a reasonable doubt kind of thing. Matt Dilahunty from the atheist experience made a pretty good argument though I can't remember how exactly it went.
logical reasoning for god ,look at your calender b.c. and a.d. well documented , fairytale , historically documented that god came to earth witnessed, miracles ,rebirth, etc . and yes the choice to believe is yours ! not to mention that none of the bible has been disproved matter of fact everytime the proof point to it's accuracy , i guess i must be the other guy ?? lol sheesh
There are a number of serious thinkers who have positively made cases against the existence of God. Right here on Youtube, we have a user called stefbot who has posted "The Case Against God" as well as a number of videos against agnosticism.
My favourite, however, is George H. Smith whose book "Atheism: the Case Against God" has not been surpassed by the any of the New Atheists such as dawkins, Harris, and Hitchens.
God bless you ego but youre an idiot on one point. You keep refering to god is this and god is that but god ant about a book of fairy tales, religon is.
There is no matter as such, all matter originates and exist by virtue of a force which brings the wave of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together.
We must assume behind this force a conscious and intelligent mind, this mind is the matrix of all matter.
Why is it that we must assume that there is a conscious behind the universe? If your argument applies, then what created the hand that moved the universe into existence, because surely there must have been a creator who created the creator and so on.
I'm not sure who or what made the universe but life is far too complex to come about by chance alone. The brain can process 480 billion bit's of data which is just insane! The singularity is also another impossible action. Even walking thru a room should be impossible because you have to move an infinite number of half way point's to reach the half way point of the room, yet we can precieve our self walking thru a room. There are just too many paradox to life for it to be chance that created it.
a computer is incredibly complicated, and can do maths far more effectively than humans - but that doesn't mean it can't come from one. Just because something is complex, doesn't mean it has to come from something MORE complex. In fact, nature tends to work the other way around.
Yeah but if that computer break's down you can get another one that does the same shit. Same with the body, try studying quantum physics and electro dynamics some time. And better yet newton thoery of thermal dynamics. Fact 1 space is an illusion so how can I die in an illusion? Fact 2 energy is never lost or destroyed but converted from one form to the next. I can't believe there are people like you who claim to use science to disprove god when the facts speak alittle differently.
"Fact 1: you don't know what you're talking about."
Ever hear of quantum entanglement? There is no space as you see it because it's all still bound in that singularity. On one side you have infinite matter so on the other side there must be a region of infinite time dialation that we know as space but it's all still just being barrowed from the singularity. Which means we don't exist so how can we die?
" if it was an illusion then your death would be an illusion.
And if energy is never lost or destroyed, then how did God create it in the first place?"
Who knows, but were here now clearly by desien. The big bang it's self was over 1 trillion degrees so by the lotto logic nothing should be living to this day, so the universe it's self must be a living entity or there would be no life in it.
No what's impossible is for us to magicly evolve from a process without design. Those fundamental laws of physics had to be put in place by something, gravity and such.
"Excuse me? There was no life at the big bang. Life occurs as a result of cumulative chemical reactions"
In the beginning there was no chemestry, only protons neutrons and electrons which formed all the chemicles we have today, all forms of energy.
"Gravity is a result of quantum mechanics, not a law in itself."
Gravity is the result of a slow wave bending the fabric of space/time it's self. Something had to put this effect in place or the rest would be impossible.
As hard as this may be to believe everything is still touching, I don't mean as metephor i'm saying literally everthing is cross intersecting as we speak but the singularity is still in moution so the illusion don't fold back into the single point it was born from.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I'm only sure of quantum entanglement because I have seen it proven beyond doubt, so for me there is no choice, it was made for me. Ask quantum physist about the measurement problem, which shows electrons as being in multiple places at the same time until you measure them. Than they will act and behave based on how your measureing it. This is caused by the fact that one electron represents every electron in the universe, showing entanglement to be more than just a myth.
Excuse me? There was no life at the big bang. Life occurs as a result of cumulative chemical reactions - a trillion degrees would not wipe out all chemical reastions from the universe.
"Fact 2: I was rebuking your point - did you rebuke mine? Oh, oh... No! Well done buddy."
BTW you didn't rebuke anything, more like you missed my point completely. Your right evolution works in acending order but the creations of a being will not exceed it's mental capacity. Case in point my brain can render infinite reality my ps3 can not nor can any super computer.
Yes, actually, things CAN be more complex than their creator.
Think of it this way. One day, we may be able to map the neurones of a brain to a computer; What happens when you add more neurons? Is that not more complex?
Or perhaps you design a skyscraper. There are a fair few more Atoms in that than in us, so is it not more complicated?
Everything in the universe gets more and more complex the majority of the time.

OMFGITZFUNNEH 1 week ago in playlist LOLgic
@blaznlex1 Don't forget, God, as well as the universe, need a time prior to their existence. However, following that, both routes will lead to circular motion. Thus the inquiry to the existence of the universe is something that is impossible to ever find out. Also, do not try and argue that god has a vague reason to exist, if you do then I can also argue that the universe has a vague reason to exist as well.
OMFGITZFUNNEH 1 week ago in playlist LOLgic
@blaznlex1 So if there is no evidence to support God, and the events before the big bang are undiscovered, you choose to believe in the unsupported claim instead of just saying "don't know"? Furthermore, atheists do not "believe in nothing". You know the latin for three testicle anomalies yet you fail to grasp the fundamentals of atheism. Fun stuff...

"Believing in God is a choice"
No no no no no no no.
Belief is inherently not a choice. Even if presented with shittons of evidence that would argue against God's existence, most theists will continue to believe. They don't CHOOSE to believe, they just do.
I agree with everything else you said, but that one was just wrong. The very nature of belief is that it can't be chosen.

FallofDarkness55 7 months ago
I believe in Darwinism. I believe in evolution. I believe in the scientific method. I believe in establishing facts through empirical evidence. I believe in logic. I don't believe in any of the established religions. I fantasize (for want of a better word) that some intelligent force/being (call it God if you want) designed all "this". "This" being the spark that created nature and ignited the universe. It's not faith. It's conjecture. I'll stick with that until proven otherwise. Agnostic Theist
txmoney 7 months ago
@txmoney You're believing in some higher power without scientific evidence, therefore you're taking it on faith.
BeavisNButtheadRock 6 months ago
@BeavisNButtheadRock There are countless mysteries for which no scientific evidence currently exists. There will come a time when some of those mysteries are solved. Follow me here. If a mystery such as, what makes up 90% of the universe is not currently solved, then what does a scientist say about that? Better yet, what does an atheist say about that? Is there no room for conjecture in scientific endeavor? Isn't some of scientific discovery formed through conjecture? Is that, "faith"?
txmoney 6 months ago
@txmoney First of all, I don't think anyone's ever said that science can know everything, because it can't, but it's still the best form of knowledge and reason we have on the planet. Second, just because we don't know what created the universe doesn't mean that we should insert a god in there. It's the same as back when people didn't know what caused lightning, so they said that zeus did it.
BeavisNButtheadRock 6 months ago
@txmoney Also, even if there was an all powerful god, he could create the universe in a millisecond if he so desired. Why would he choose to have it take millions of years? To answer your other question, scientific discoveries aren’t made with faith, they’re done with careful research and actual evidence. The very definition of conjecture is believing something without out sufficient proof, so yes, you’re believing in a god on faith.
BeavisNButtheadRock 6 months ago
@txmoney Finally, you say you don’t believe in organized religion which means you obviously don’t believe in the bible, or the Christian god. If that’s the case, even if the god you believe in existed anyway, it’s completely indifferent towards our existence. So why should we care if IT exists or not? Seems pretty pointless to me. Nevertheless, I will remain an atheist until there’s enough evidence to prove the existence of any deity. Peace.

@mymojorisin you have to include the @PaulsEgo If you believe there is no evidence for the supernatural or all that exists is natural those are a priori faith statements. @BeforeTheNoose the words no, none, and lack are all quantifiers, they represent an amount of something, the subject matter that makes atheism a religion are FAITH and GOD(S), not the quantitiy of faith. Thats why atheists are able to concede the possibility of a god but not one that effects events here on earth.
That guy said he is a deist, so he is not a christian either that or he hasn't bothered to look up what these words mean....

But I cannot accept your arguments as true without proof.
rpm297 9 months ago 5
@rpm297
So if paul argues an agnostic view he is agnostic not atheist.
srspower 9 months ago
@jackanthem90 you do have sufficient evidence you choose not to accept it. What you seem to want is a system without doubt. Thats not Biblical. If there were no doubt there would be no faith. How many verses deal with faith? A lot. What does God require? Faith. If God removed faith what would He have? He would lose the relationship He created us for.
azjmiles 9 months ago
if you believe theists don't use logic and reasoning you are not doing your homework. thus you are taking on those you feel you can easily defeat in an argument. this only weakens your arguments among those who do use logic and reasoning, even among fellow atheists. don't take on the weaker minded of the a certain belief system. aim high.

@jackanthem90 Also, if it's a god we cannot yet describe (I would like to see the evidence for this claim), then how can you say with 100% certainty that the christian god is false?
oathkeeper27 1 year ago
@jackanthem90 Really, "possible" then means nothing. In that realm of logic, unicorns, bigfoot, giant three-headed snake-lobsters from Saturn, sea monsters, the boogeyman, faeries, pixies, goblins, trolls, ghosts, and leprechauns are all possible.
What reason is there to believe in a god but not in any of the things I just listed, if the mere possibility of something existing is all one should require?
oathkeeper27 1 year ago
I got 3 testicles...just so you know.
memoryhero 1 year ago

It's the only reason I consider myself to be an agnostic and not an atheist.
painkillerzman 1 year ago
Ouch, he failed before he even left the starting gate.
Seems most theists don't even know how the Atheist mind works, which leads to straw-man arguments, word games, and an overall warped sense of what is considered "logical".
oathkeeper27 1 year ago
LOL I thought his arguments sucked. Here's a question I have for atheists/evolutionists.
"Male monkeys that have sex with female monkeys, produce monkeys. If a man had sex with a camel, the camel would not produce a half camel/human or a manel. Nothing would happen. So if we, the human race, came from monkeys, would that mean we are the mutants?"

Why the HELL couldn't you come down and prove your existence to rational thinkers if you really wanted mankind to know you exist, and THEN we could make a truly informed choice as to whether or not to follow you. Would you be happier if I FEIGNED belief out of fear or hope of reward?"

There is no matter as such, all matter originates and exist by virtue of a force which brings the wave of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together.
We must assume behind this force a conscious and intelligent mind, this mind is the matrix of all matter.
187Sozum 3 years ago
You're free to assume. I would't say it was a must though.
TheLovePizza 3 years ago
Why is it that we must assume that there is a conscious behind the universe? If your argument applies, then what created the hand that moved the universe into existence, because surely there must have been a creator who created the creator and so on.
hellgas0 3 years ago
I'm not sure who or what made the universe but life is far too complex to come about by chance alone. The brain can process 480 billion bit's of data which is just insane! The singularity is also another impossible action. Even walking thru a room should be impossible because you have to move an infinite number of half way point's to reach the half way point of the room, yet we can precieve our self walking thru a room. There are just too many paradox to life for it to be chance that created it.
187Sozum 3 years ago
a computer is incredibly complicated, and can do maths far more effectively than humans - but that doesn't mean it can't come from one. Just because something is complex, doesn't mean it has to come from something MORE complex. In fact, nature tends to work the other way around.
molewizard 3 years ago
Yeah but if that computer break's down you can get another one that does the same shit. Same with the body, try studying quantum physics and electro dynamics some time. And better yet newton thoery of thermal dynamics. Fact 1 space is an illusion so how can I die in an illusion? Fact 2 energy is never lost or destroyed but converted from one form to the next. I can't believe there are people like you who claim to use science to disprove god when the facts speak alittle differently.
187Sozum 3 years ago
Fact 1: you don't know what you're talking about.
Fact 2: I was rebuking your point - did you rebuke mine? Oh, oh... No! Well done buddy.
Fact 3: I study quantum mechanics, and you obviously don't understand it.
Now, the illusion part - Besides the fact you are spewing bullshit, if it was an illusion then your death would be an illusion.
And if energy is never lost or destroyed, then how did God create it in the first place?
molewizard 3 years ago
"Fact 1: you don't know what you're talking about."
Ever hear of quantum entanglement? There is no space as you see it because it's all still bound in that singularity. On one side you have infinite matter so on the other side there must be a region of infinite time dialation that we know as space but it's all still just being barrowed from the singularity. Which means we don't exist so how can we die?
187Sozum 3 years ago
If you don't understand that death is just as much an illusion as life, from this point of view, there is no point talking to you about this.
I do not agree with this point of view, so presenting me with a(rather bad) paradox for it does not have any point.
Besides the fact that 'all reality being an illusion' is just a metaphor...
molewizard 3 years ago
" if it was an illusion then your death would be an illusion.
And if energy is never lost or destroyed, then how did God create it in the first place?"
Who knows, but were here now clearly by desien. The big bang it's self was over 1 trillion degrees so by the lotto logic nothing should be living to this day, so the universe it's self must be a living entity or there would be no life in it.
187Sozum 3 years ago
"Who knows"
Case in point.
It's impossible.
molewizard 3 years ago
"Case in point.
It's impossible."
187Sozum 3 years ago
Gravity is a result of quantum mechanics, not a law in itself. Everything is the result o a SINGLE starting point, using common, linear thinking.
A DESIGNER and INITIATOR are entirely different things.
"all forms of energy."
No, chemicals are not the only form of energy.
molewizard 3 years ago 4
"Everything is the result o a SINGLE starting point, using common, linear thinking.
A DESIGNER and INITIATOR are entirely different things.
"all forms of energy."
No, chemicals are not the only form of energy."
This really is my main point, if everything started from a single point than nothing is linear because that would be a paradox in it's self.
"We are simply LEARNING more."
True but learning is evolution, every idea is born in the mind.
187Sozum 3 years ago
"Gravity is a result of quantum mechanics, not a law in itself."
Gravity is the result of a slow wave bending the fabric of space/time it's self. Something had to put this effect in place or the rest would be impossible.
As hard as this may be to believe everything is still touching, I don't mean as metephor i'm saying literally everthing is cross intersecting as we speak but the singularity is still in moution so the illusion don't fold back into the single point it was born from.
187Sozum 3 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
I'm only sure of quantum entanglement because I have seen it proven beyond doubt, so for me there is no choice, it was made for me. Ask quantum physist about the measurement problem, which shows electrons as being in multiple places at the same time until you measure them. Than they will act and behave based on how your measureing it. This is caused by the fact that one electron represents every electron in the universe, showing entanglement to be more than just a myth.
187Sozum 3 years ago
Excuse me? There was no life at the big bang. Life occurs as a result of cumulative chemical reactions - a trillion degrees would not wipe out all chemical reastions from the universe.
What a ridiculous statement...
molewizard 3 years ago
"Fact 2: I was rebuking your point - did you rebuke mine? Oh, oh... No! Well done buddy."
BTW you didn't rebuke anything, more like you missed my point completely. Your right evolution works in acending order but the creations of a being will not exceed it's mental capacity. Case in point my brain can render infinite reality my ps3 can not nor can any super computer.
187Sozum 3 years ago
Square 2,345,897.
Everything in the universe gets more and more complex the majority of the time.
molewizard 3 years ago
