  • I love this band and the fact that they are from where I am from!! Reppin the 614!!

  • HaleyChoi1 I'm almost certain that this song is played on a six string bass. It's pretty much a guitar an octave lower. I'm not sure house of heroes has a good bassist, just two good guitarist, and far to much vocal talent

  • 9 people were thrown out of the house of heroes

  • I've been a Christian for four years, and this is something that I see everywhere. Christian music is NOT only for Christians; if anything, you should be trying your hardest to bring such things to the lost. If not, maybe you should re-examine your relationship with God. Someone who has been saved, would realise what an amazing thing it is, and would go to the ends of the Earth to help others gain that. If listening to Christian music can affect someone's life, who are YOU to stand in the way?

  • You guys are one of my favorite bands :D :D Cannot wait to see you at Life Light this year!! :D

  • my band is opening up for them tomorrow nite ! so pumped

  • haha idk they were christian music and i usually listen to hard core rock but i like them ahah

  • I have a friend who said this was her theme song. I mentioned that they are a Christian band. She said, "What? I didn't know they were Christian-I just thought they played awesome music!"

  • @ambitiousactress

Believe what you want but on wiki that is mentioned and most of their lyrics point on Christian rock.

  • @zzvvoonnee24 they're christian, but the christian music is not only for christians!!

  • xtremelyredeemed its a sin to judgr just letting u kno

  • Happy Athiest:)

  • Everyone seems to be commenting so seriously, but all I hear are comic book hero's and vigilante justice.

  • hes vain

  • true, I guess it's open interpretation. but then again in an interview they mentioned WW2. There's a video about ti somewhere

  • Comment removed

  • Isn't this about WW2 when the Nazis took over?

  • @Jordanmesserfan190 doesn't have to be, it could be about any circumstance in where Christians are persecuted.

  • @michaelhays92

I agree with that. Indeed I like the fact that religionists and atheists could find themselve connected and equal in one thing, in this beautiful songs and music.

  • @zzvvoonnee24 what the heck is a "religionist'??????? but yes house of heroes is beautiful music

  • I was just searching desperately for a band I'd never heard before. And this is actually... good. BTW, thanks for including the word "random" in your title.

  • "There's no virtue in killing a man

Neither is there virtue in being afraid to stand."

"You're the only reason I stay

    In this coward's mêlèe

I;d rather die than live without mercy and love

    Sing while the city decays

We'd rather go up in flames

Lest we betray the names of dignity and love!"

Very powerful words. Every time I hear them, my heart is touched. I thank you, zzvvoonnee24 for uploading this. God bless you, and God bless you all...House of Heroes, keep rockin' guys...

  • From one Christian to another, confession should not be as open as you're making it. You're acting like a pharisee. Not everyone needs to know what has happened in your life. The only ones that need to know that are God and yourself. Then you can make peace with God. You've already been forgiven for everything; why tell us about it?

  • @lovemycrissangel

If every single christian give honest confession in the public, I believe world can change and become better place. Theres many people who keep feelings inside and try to kill them with alcohol and drugs, if your soul isnt free of pressure than your body suffer too. And many families tored appart because members are not open about their feelings.

I've impression if you hear similar confession, lets say in Oprah show from one celebrity you would react in another way, wont you.

  • @zzvvoonnee24 I've heard of families being torn apart by expressing themselves and their feelings TOO much (i.e. beating, raping, otherwise abusing) but never of concealing their feelings.

In a lot of cases, people have no idea that their loved ones are suppressing feelings. I know people can't tell when I do it (except maybe my girlfriend) but my parents can't and my friends surely can't.

Sorry, I would rebuttal further but I didn't really understand the entire last paragraph of your last post

  • @BrettKrueger

ok, sure thing. I can see from this post you dont understand what I was telling. Lets just keep like that and stop further discussion. After all, I put this video for music not for religious debating. God bless!

  • @zzvvoonnee24 Let's try to keep this video free of religious debate please. I don't want the obvious Protestants (@BrettKrueger) fighting with the obvious Catholics (@zzvvoonnee24). There's ONE God people! Let's agree on that!

  • @zzvvoonnee24 ok, im not sure if you guys understand what it means to confess sins. it's good to vent your sins to your understanding christian brothers and sisters so they hold you accountable and help you put a stop to it. that doesnt mean ofcourse that we should go around parading our sin to the word like "guess what i did last night!" like that but just to tell it to your brothers and sisters. as trip lee would say: "snitch on yourself." i hope i helped you understand some more

  • @zzvvoonnee24 Romans 10:10 -- With the heart man believeth, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

There's a difference between the confession of ones sins, and the confession of faith in Christ. We are to openly confess our faith before all, and not in secret.

We are to boldly proclaim the good things that Christ has done for us, including forgiveness They don't need to know the details of your sin, however. Just that it's been forgiven.

  • @zzvvoonnee24 Jesus told us to do it in sceret and one to another more then out loud to the whole world. For if we do it out loud to the whole world then we are showing them everything and they will not understand , but if we work with one another and do it in small groups then we are doing it the way both Paul and Jesus taught us to be

  • @lovemycrissangel As humans we aren't given the right to judge other peoples intension. I am not judging yours, but you can't take zzvvoonnee's testimony and say it's bad. I used to have a big issue with selfishness, and that I thank God I was delivered. Is it bad that I put that out there? For someone that could be hope for their constant selfish desires.

  • @lovemycrissangel i totaly agree with this. the whole point of confession isn't so you can go around telling everybody how bad and sinfull you are. confession is to God not to the world. I mean you confess to God BECAUSE you did WORLDY things. If you want to go tell everybody what you did, i mean it wont hurt but why would you do it? It wont help, because God's the ONLY one how can forgive you because your sin was to him. And im not saying conseal your expressions, share them.

  • @lovemycrissangel Yes, that is true: 1 John 1:9 (NIV)

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

That being said, however, it is still good to confess your sins to other Christians to receive healing:

    James 5:16 (NIV)

16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

  • @lovemycrissangel

  • @lovemycrissangel i agree with you on that point.

  • @lovemycrissangel, actually, in the Bible, on MANY occasions we are told that confession should be shared with anyone and everyone. You want people to know what God has done for you, so that maybe they will want it too. The forgiveness God has given us is something amazing, and should be shared with everyone. Salvation is a glorious thing, and I know people who never would have been saved if not first hearing what it had done for some of thier favourite band members, myself included.

  • do anyone have an idea of when someone can be able to put "contant" on youtube...or when thier new cd comes out??

  • @BrettKrueger

And I didn't see anybody has criticise or judging me for this in later replies, just maybe you did now. But for those who arguing about connection between HoH music and CR, they're ignorant and didnt ever listen what band member tell about themselves personal. Maybe then they will learn real truth.

  • People hate when you believe in something they can't understand(like treating everybody with respect). This song reminds not to be afraid of what people think!!!!! And keep the courage, I can get through anything!!! GOD BLESS :)

  • I love this cd!

  • Sorry for grammer trolling but its spelt panzer not panser

  • Hey, I found a band I like. IT MUST HAVE BEEN GOD! THANKS GOD!!!

  • hey im friends with them on myspace bitches

  • i'm actually not religious myself; but damn do i like this song ^^

  • sameeeee

  • There used to only be one video with this song on Youtube. Now theres like a million. YAY! :DD

  • "the story is told of a French spy in WWII whose land and livelihood have been invaded. While the song's predecessor was all about the defeat of a man's will, this track displays the building up of a man's courage, and the lengths he will go to defend what he knows to be good. "There's no virtue in killing a man, but neither is there virtue in being afraid to stand." There is enough food for thought here to keep you intrigued and pondering well after the record has finished playing."

  • I love this song and I think your comment is right on. I also am intrigued even after the song is over . My 15 year old daughter introduced me to this bands music. They are "awesome". The Lord has blessed them with much talent.

  • @GreenRiceInc you watched their video about the meaning of this song didn't you? ahaha i did too ;P

  • @YESidoloveRelientK

No, I found an good article of a review of their album and I copied and pasted the excerpt so people would quit fighting over the song meaning on here haha.

I tried to put the name of the article on there, but it said it wouldn't fit, so now there many people who are giving me false credit for writing that ):

    (p.s. love your user name (; )

  • ROFL @ the pic 0:50

  • Oh, man... music... music... music... best band after best band after best band... House of Heroes, you've made it to the top in my book!

  • I live like a ghost, I die with the free. Traders and turn coats turned aside, traitors loose lips sink shhhhh. shhhhh. There on there knees but just to beg ......

  • The minute I read your comment, they sung it. XD

  • I got to hug Tim :3

  • I know him :D

  • Guys there is no need to fight about our own veiws of what the song is saying, yes they are a christian band, but so is underoath, dead poetic and meny others, lets not fight about our interepretations and just listen to some amazing music!!!!

  • its a song about normandy

  • japanman's rite, but you dont have 2 b so rude wen you say it, jeez!

  • i cant find yall on itunes! geerrrrr

  • The Song is not necissarily Christian, none of them have to be. I'm pretty sure the band members are christian, however that doesn't mean they have to sing worship songs. They don't have to be trying to reach christians to be labelled as a christian band. Great CD easily some of my favorite music, Losing Control, In the valley of the dying Sun, Serial Sleepers, and Buckets for bullet wounds are some of my favorite songs by these guys.

  • this song is the best song ever right next to family Force 5 songs

  • I dont really see this as "Christian Song". The guys are christians I'm sure of it, but i dont think they are necessarily trying to reach a christian crowd with there music. Nearly every song on the album is about WWI or WWII. I really like it all. The band members are christian, but i don't believe their target audience is christian.

  • actually they could be talking about how the struggle for the Christian faith is parallel to that of WWII. think of it in term of the radical Christian: evil is trying to take over the world, and Christians are trying to save the oncoming genocide of the human soul... make sense?

  • It really depends on how you look at it. If you are a Christian, you'll be able to find parallels and apply it to your own life. I agree that all of their music is not directly related to Christianity, but some of their other songs definitely do (In The Valley of The Dying Sun where it says "For the first time I could see, that God was not my enemy"- the song could be a parallel between a man's relationship with God and war)... anyway, sweet band, amazing God-given talent, praise God for music!

  • If you look at the meaning behind the songs that House Of Hero puts on youtube... Most of their songs they say are actually directly related to christianity, In The Valley of The Dying Son is one of them yeah haha

  • this song is fricken awsom

  • sorry, i just have to ask. Are you home schooled? :)

  • Lol He is I can tell I used to be one xD

  • haha, sweet. i am too. :)

  • ah, I love this song XD

  • Lines 1-8 About him being killed, his opinions 9-14 Enemies approaching "on our knees not to pray" Crouching prepping to fire. 15-22 (repeated) He's fighting for love/homeland would rather die than live in war 22-33 about ww2 spy living in nazi germany they took inspiration from. 34-36 Traitors were caught, are going to die and are praying because that's all they can do. They WILL die anyway. 43-48 Fuselage = plane/heli They say a cadence. About a soldier /discussion.
  • There is close to nothing about god or jebus in here. A three year old could tell this is about a war zone or a war. The whole first part is about him being beheaded by a terrorist and it being published on the news, with his opinion on his death. I could spoon feed you the rest, but I'll see if you can get your heads out of your asses and think about something that makes a difference. I mean everything is literally right in your faces.

  • As soon as I saw and heard the band, I stopped watching this video. Jesus would never look like that (3Mos.19:27 forbids shaving) and play that kind of music. Moreover, any secret goat can pretend to be a sheep and then do things that are not christian in order to on one hand discredit christianity and on the other hand tempt christians to do the same. The world now days is probably crowded with secret goats, since Jesus said that the road leading to hell is broad (Matt.7:13,14).

  • Would love to see these guys in concert. I swear they go everywhere EXCEPT Arizona!

  • hay ppl any1 no tht song tht like " i was lost, i was lost and i had no place to go. and i dont think youd understand" or smt? wht tht called??? i love it:} plz help meeeeeeee

  • who is who in the very last picture and who's still in the band?

  • from left to right: tim skipper (guitar, lead vocals), aj babcock (bass guitar, main lyrics writer, back vocals), and rigsby brothers colin (drums, back vocals) and jared (lead guitar, back vocals).

by the latest informations they're all still together since forming the band in 2002.

    source: wikipedia

    hope it help :)

  • thank you v. much and God bless :)

  • aww God bess you too!!!

  • did i say there was somthing odd about it? sorry if i did i ddnt mean it that way i ment it as like he dident get that? its kinda obvious if ya ask me lol and i do no how to wright lol anyway thx for doin this vid its great :D

  • ok, sorry for misunterstanding, God bless you

  • evn toh they are a christian band and lol dude its like way mor thn ww2 and th end is not the end? rlly? no offence but do u no ntn of our christian belifs? LOL th end is not the end? with Christ theres eternal life? aka death is nt the end? lol and wht u sed too turn ta god n tough times thts a good interpetation too

  • Learn to how to write!

  • Yeah, I can hardly understand your archaic or whatever english is.

As Christian yes, I believe in eternal life (or called it 'life after life') and that can be interprate like phrase The End Is Not The End, I dont see anything odd in that.

  • Yeah i know. I get the title and everything. All i meant was that the main thing the album was about was ww2. I was listening to an interview with them and they didnt say anything about another way it could be interpreted. At that point in time i hadnt heard of them, so i had no idea they were christian rock, all i heard them saying was it was about world war 2 I looked them up on google and i guess they are christian rock. i still think of them as just plain rock, but its no big deal

  • oh and by the way i do know alot about christian beliefs and how death isnt the end and again im not trying to offend anyone, but i have friends who arnt christian and they still like this music. They say its not christian rock either and really its only christian rock if you look at it that way. i guess its all a matter of opinion:)

  • yes friend i agree and wow ur great! thx agn fo not bein a bich bout nythng!! God bless fernd!!

  • So if they're talking about God and how much they love him and asking him to help them out and even use the name Jesus or God out of reverance (I guess you'd call it that) it's still just a matter of oppinion? If the rockband is a Christian band, then they play Christian rock. I'm just pointing out the obvious. No offense. But you are right, you don't have to be a Christian to like Christian music.

  • you got a good point there dood. to me its just awsome rock music. =D

  • No thats not what I'm saying. Im talking about this album, specificcly this song. They never use the name Jesus in this song. If they do its pretty obscure. There is one part where they say we're on our knees but not to pray, but anyband, even a non christian band, can make references to prayer the last time i checked. So if you can point out a part of the song where they make a strictly christian point and where they say Jesus i'll take back this comment but for now im sticking by it.

  • oh and by the way i bet if you looked hard enough you could find plenty of other bands that talk about religion in a song without being called christian rock automatically

  • sure but you can hardly find that kind of music bands in world this times. I didnt know that christian rock even exist till a year ago. I think that was God's will that I find this stuff, that music and band's homilies about Gods love. All that help me to find meaning of my own life and thats why Im so grateful. I was almoust colapsed in my life and after I decided pray God to show me the way from than things starts getting better and I live every day with hope to find good in people arond me

  • im not saying christian rock is bad im just saying that i wouldnt classify this song under christian rock. you know how on mp3 players a band might have songs spread out under several different genres, like they might have some songs under rock and others under pop? well i think the same is true for house of heroes. even if you decide to classify the band as christian rock, they can still have pop or rock songs, even hip hop. I dont have anything against christian rock.

  • @zzvvoonnee24 Why did you take the time to explain your life story in a reply to a song?

You're just opening yourself up to criticism and many jokes.

  • Its called a confession and I see that do a lot of members from CR bands I listen, ex.: Rob (Pillar), John C. (Skillet). I dont know how people would react when they read my confession of life but as a true catholic christian by my faith I need to tell openly why I believing in Gods love and grace. For some people its good to hear honestly confession from other man and that proves all those thumbs up I see on my comment.

  • @BrettKrueger

What's wrong with a personal testimony? Do you have a problem with a man being honest? It may build someone up, it may save someone from eternal death because they see the reply and they see that it has changed someone. Testimonies are nothing to be ashamed of and if someone has a problem with one then they have a problem that they need to deal with within themselves.

    @zzvvoonnee24

I'm glad to see someone stand up and pronounce their faith in Christ.

  • @espelt07 Amen!

  • @espelt07 are you reffering to religion or christianity? you speak of 2 different cases

  • ddaannnnggg awesome song dude and thts nice espelt07 said like he was srry cuz moast ppl just like gooo oooff and its rlly damn annoin wen they do tht so thx for ur politeness friend :]
