  • One of the greatest scores in cinema ever.

  • it must be so magical to see John Williams conduct this song in person. its truly amazing what music can do and how it can make you feel.

  • one day i will go see john williams in person conduting his orchestra playing e.t and harry potter

  • A great score that made a boy and his alien friend an icon

  • Ever since I went to Universal Studios and heard this song there, it's stuck in my head as the representation of the heartwarming Hollywood of yesteryear.

  • Before I die, I will see John Williams conduct in person.

  • this still sounds amazing as a shitty recording

  • One word: G-O-O-S-E-B-U-M-P-S ! ! ! ! !

  • Nothing short of genius.

  • hope i was there

  • "oh my god". lol. (trust me, you have to have seen the other clip).

Oh, I'll jump on the bandwaon also, what's with the camera work? (sarcasm) wah, wah, wah. All you people should shut the fuck up and just be glad the clip was posted for your ungrateful punk asses!

  • You need to invest into a Tripod... was there an earthquake during the performance?

  • What a shitty cameraman who is filming this.

  • they took the time to go film it and put it up for you to enjoy. i think you should thank them instead of criticizing them.

  • hey what's wrong with the camera handling?shivering from amazement of the song?haha i guess so.

  • Terrific! The most geniusest composer ever to write for screen. I'm surprised you could record up so close. Still, it would have helped to place the camera inconspicuously on the balcony or something, and I would like to hear the whole performance.

  • Bosten Pops is the best I ever heared

  • this guy rocks

  • I swear THE SONG IS ON THE SOUNDTRACK. Want proof? I have it on my iTunes: its played in the track called "Halloween", then in "Escape/Chase/Saying Goodbye" and then in "End Credits". Just pick the CD up in a store.

  • The guy with the camera must have been drunk..

  • Its hard to hold a camcorder still if you dont have a tripod.

  • Love the music but the camera work is UTTERLY awful.

  • fantastic....

  • shaky camera

  • john williams is a genius bt he shld know how hard it is to play some of the parts inside-the harp part, for example, is crazy

  • He think he does know...

  • yeah I would agree, with that much experience in music, I wouldn't be surprised if he knew how to play almost each of those instruments.

  • Sorry... I mean: I Think he does know! All genius composers brake the rules once in a while. But it works.

  • love him in my heart 4ever

  • They clapped when they recognized what he was playing. ET is very near and dear to the hearts of many people. No harm no foul.

  • shouldn't you clap after the piece is done?

  • You clap whenever it compels you. That's the custom.

  • Only americans applaud while the symphonic orchestra is playing.

  • lol

  • This cameraman who made this vid was probably drunk.... don't touch the electronics if u are usin' them like a child.... fool /but the music is superb of course/

  • If that novice, drunk or not, did not record this clip because he didn't want use "them like a child", we wouldn't be enjoying this vid. (FWIW)

  • cameraman dude....sort your life out!
