To land on a carrier : hook (Ctrl+K) ans gear down, do a normal landing, like the back end of the carrier is the threshold of the runway you're landing on. Use the AOA bracket and 3 degree glide slope indicator (the dotted line on your pitch ladder that is added when the gear is down), this gives you the ideal glide slope for a landing. Align it with the runway threshold and the flight path marker, in the top half of the AOA braket.
first you have to land on it, then you can take off there. it's a strange bug, if you switch the hook down you can land on the carrier. To take off you switch the hook down, when you are at the top of throttle you release it and F16 start running! when you are in flight grow up landing gear(immediatly) and pull up...
-rpm 103% (after burner) and release hook(switch it off...press another time control+k): now you start running(or launching) for taking off.
-pull up less than one second before airborne and retract gear first than you can(with gear down it's very difficult doesn't stall! so, gear up, 103% rpm and pull up!)
i'm not very able to speak and understand english.. I try to replay for what i've understood :)
To stay on the carrier you have to land on the carrier. there is a "bug": EVERY point of the carrier, if your hook is down, can stop you.
To land in a carrier check:
-Hook DOWN
-AOA: lighter than you can: check out(ALWAYS) AOA indicator inside 10-13° ..if i remember.. good way to see: GOOD AOA to land is showed at the left of HUD, if you are approaching correctly you'll see the green "O"
F16 has an hook, like F14 and F18...he uses it if it has problems with hydraulic system and he tries to engage the ropes in the runway(you've well understood)...
In falcon 4.0 allied force you can use this "thing" to try to land in a carrier XD after you can taking off too. XD
Someone said me that F16 was a project for navy, but it's just one principal engine so if there was engine fault it could be problems to be rescued in the ocean, and navy liked more fighter with 2 engines(like F14 or F18...).
So Navy didn't approve it,and the air force took it.
I Don't know if is it a real things...one persone said me..

How do you get to take off from the carrier? because everytime i try to takeoff its saying "The runway have been destroyed" while its not true.
And also how do you stay ON the carrier? i landed on it few times but it landed under the top part of its skin inside it. it was weird.
Plz help

To take off from carrier:
-hook switched ON (control + k)
-rpm 70% (idle)
-rpm 100% (full military)
-rpm 103% (after burner) and release hook(switch it off...press another time control+k): now you start running(or launching) for taking off.
-pull up less than one second before airborne and retract gear first than you can(with gear down it's very difficult doesn't stall! so, gear up, 103% rpm and pull up!)

-speed 150-160 ( to stop first than you impact with the sea(if your speed is highter...)
...remember that AOA is alway more important than speed.
Speed is important too, but AOA is it more.
i forgot: drop all your A/G weapons when you try to land the first time.
It's more difficult touch down SAFELY if your F16 weight is heavy(you have to know the better way to approach with AOA and speed).
So, learn to touch down without weapons and after with weapon(you can't run if you can't walk)
