My favorite Alice album by a mile. It's practically a rock opera.  Each song depicting someone he met in the loony bin while he was drying out.

Alice is a lyrical genius.

I know Alice is best known for his early 70's releases with his original band and his Welcome To My Nightmare solo album, but some of his best work was after that. I love the From the Inside album, it contains some of his best lyrics (you can buy this one at places like amazon). I also really like his Dada album, Raise Your Fist and Yell, Hey Stoopid, The Last Temptation and Brutal Planet albums in more recent years.

From The Inside is definitely his best solo album, and the title track is one of his best.

The day before, it was "Be My Lover", and not FTI =)
