  • A+ indeed, well done. RIP Don. He was the best.

  • wow, a commercial for a fictional Nintendo Theme Park in Orlando Florida. I wish such a thing really did exist. I wonder why Nintendo can't just extend its franchise beyond just videogames like Disney did. A Nintendo theme park would be great. Be a good competitor with Disney World, Universal Orlando, and Seaworld.

  • you cant go wrong with Don...but now people have a bigger chance of going wrong without T.T

  • I am so jealous. I would have done anything for some Don narration... Sadly, I'm just too young.

  • I would shit my pants if i was in a space shuttle and i saw mario staring at me from the earth

  • I am proud to have been able to call Don my friend and mentor.. Don would never snub anyone away...he has worked on a few of my projects...despite his busy schedule and being the best of the best, he would always find time to help others out...

Not saying goodbye to my friend Don, just so long for a little while until we meet again

  • Damn Don makes it so real

  • Don was such a mensh he'd voice your cousin's bris if you asked him. I'll miss him.

  • 1 how did you get him to do this

2 i thought it was real for the first 10 seconds

  • lol when he was alive if you emailed him and asked him hed do it for free he was such a class act!! he did peoples voicemails too

  • I watched the video before the description and for a few seconds I thought this was a real theme park.

Now I'm thinking why this hasn't been done already, it would make an awesome theme park!

  • only if that theme park was real i've waited too lonmg and too hard to wait for this

  • in a world....? O_O

  • How did you get Don to do this?

  • Don was awesome.....Nice vid.

  • wow amazing, i cant believe don did this for you

  • Holy carp, that's awesome. I love your idea and the fact that he actually agreed to do this for you. He had an awesome job/career, is so very inspirational to aspiring voice-over actors and actresses, and he will be truly missed.

  • The one thing what made Don LaFontaine truly awesome was not his powerful voice, nor his impressive resume and work history, it was his genuine down-to-earthness. In a world... loaded with big egos, he had none! RIP, Don.

  • Yes and the fact he wanted to share it with the world by doing things like this makes him all the more incredible

R.I.P. Don Voice over King, Movie trailer Legend

  • That's pretty cool, man.

  • omg what did your teacher say when he heard that?!

  • how did you get him to do it for you?

  • He probably just did it.

There are a few good professionals out there who will do stuff for little or no money to help out others for stuff like student films or what not.

  • damn... and i was getting excited for a world of nintendo theme park too...

    wow... THATS AN AWESOME IDEA

  • R.I.P Don LaFontaine

  • HE DIED?!?!?!

  • Unfortunately, about a month or two ago.

  • That is so badass!!!! I saw that on a interview/doc he said if he has the tiem he'll do it!!! That is sooo coooool!!!!!!

  • Your so lucky that you got him to do that man!!!!

  • On an interview, he says he does stuff for people if he has the time. Like their answering machine or whatever. For free, too. :P

Its so sad he died. :'[

  • i hope you got an A. don was always very gracious. if he had the time--he'd knock it out for you. and that's what separated him from so many voiceover people who thought they walked on water. he was always approachable and kind...and a great mentor to some VO talent who are starting to make some serious money because of what he showed them.

  • WooW

  • RIP DON, the greatest voice-over guy ever.

  • rest in peace don. i've always loved listening to your promos.

  • In another video, Don talked about doing a voiceover for any script that you send him, free of charge maybe. He was a nice guy and will be sorely missed. RIP

  • Odd. In one interview he stated that he did do voicemails for people.

  • cool

  • Don LaFontaine's death certainly sparked a massive Youtube search...

    RIP, you will be missed

  • didnt u read the info? moron

  • Weakness??? How is doing "cute & happy" scripts a weakness? Don doing this for free shows how generous and down to earth he was. Doing things like this for people kept him humble and it shows that he never let his status go to his head. He did it for free, so of course it may not be his best work...

RIP Don, no one can replace you.

    Dave

  • He probably meant as a weakness is he doesn't excel as far in cute and happy scripts. In other words the disney guy's(name escapes me right now) voice fits better. Don was more action or suspense. Im not agreeing or disagreeing with him but explaining what he meant.

  • R.I.P Don LaFontaine

  • Lafontaine is Awesome!!!

  • Wow, nice snag getting Don.

Maybe you should get Spielberg to direct your next project before he leaves this mortal coil as well!

  • RIP DON :'(

  • no way thats crazy how did u manage that?

  • My goodness, how did you get him to do it for you?

  • I would go there XD

  • is that roller coaster tycoon 3?

  • I wished I had his voice

  • Don Lafontaine rocks, great job!

  • Don LaFontaine is an awesome guy!!! Congrats on your project, it turned out great!!!

  • They really should make a Nintendo theme park

  • seriously!

i mean you could do so much!

you could have a mario ride, zelda, metroid, earthbound and lots of others i cant think of right now!

  • Noooo!

    I'm so disappointed...

I saw this and I was went "MOM! Let's go there!"

Then I read the info for the video...

and was incredibly disappointed when I found out it wasn't real...

  • me too lol.

  • Man, this comment made me lol hard.

  • You got Don LaFontaine to help you with your advertising project?? Wow

  • You got Thunderthroat to help you with your class project? Yikes! That's awesome.

  • ahaha awesome

  • ahaha awesome

  • ahaha awesome

  • He has a link on his website, so whenever the Don has some downtime, he goes online and checks his e-mail, and records some stuff for free.

  • Lol you are lucky, you got to see the real don i got to see frank caliendo's impression of don >_>

  • XD!!!!

  • zomg if they really made this they would make bank for a longass time.

  • Jesus, I would definately go there.

  • HELLZ YEAH!

  • You better have gotten a good grade for having Don friggin' Lafontaine as the narrator! That's unbelieveably cool that he'll willingly do free recordings for stuff like that. What an awesome guy.

  • You bet I did! He's really a cool guy, he has a recording studio in his own home.

  • That'S amazing! how did you get him?

  • Man, I hope you know how lucky you are! You got help from the man who has done VOs for ~750k spots and ~5k tailers!! :o

    Yes, I'm envious :p

  • Haha dude, thats amazing. You mind telling me his email or a way to contact him?

  • Did you really asked him? By the way, that's a pretty clever edit using Mario Bros 3 with your ad. Good job.

  • Thanks. Yep, I found his email address on his webpage, and within 2 weeks, he sent me a response to my message containing an mp3 file of the lines I wanted.

  • No kidding? I should do that for my internet radio.

  • hi. i found his page and sent him an email at info@donlafontaine. com is this the right email adress? and by the way, good work!

  • Thanks! I just bought another computer for myself and gave my old one to my sister, so I'm not terribly sure what his email address was.

  • oh ok well thanks anyways

  • What? You just asked him and he did it?

  • I'm on to you, Sandalshorts. Your own lies will destroy you.

  • u asked Don LaFontaine !!!!!

  • Fantastic! Class act Don is.

  • thats insane.. thought he made tons of cash on his voice.. nice guy.

  • GODDAM I WANT TO GO THERE!

  • I would go there!

  • I was thinking about doing the same thing for video class. We have to think of a movie and do a movie trailer and I wanted to use his voice. Could you help me out with contacting him?

  • Didn't Don already do two commercials for Nintendo (Zelda: Link to the Past and Super Smash Bros.)?

  • nice man.

  • haha that's freaking tight!

  • What did you get for a mark?

  • I got an A for the course, and an A+ for the project.

  • How do i contact him? :o

  • Nothing, I said I was doing a college project and he emailed me back within a week!

  • How the heck did you pull that off? Really cool that a professional voice over artist took the time to help you with a school project.

  • Holy god.

  • Don. Mother. Freaking. LaFontaine. He did this for your RCT3 park?! Lucky.

  • Cool man! :)

That's awesome he did for you.
