  • Very very good game.

  • Dear Sasha, You seem so nice and mentally healthy. My observation is that Some Male Grandmasters and masters seem to suffer psychological problems. From the stress of competition. Female Grandmasters seem less psychologically troubled. Do you agree? What is the explanation?

  • It is a good comment ! Thank You

  • Concerning English usage, you can simply use

    'comment[s]on' ,or 'comment[s] about'.This

covers everything, including broadcasting. I agree with the appreciative comments

on your video,it was great. Vivienne9

  • Thanks for your comment, you are absolutely right. In the future, I will change my intro screen to show either "comments on" or "comments about".

  • Fabulous! The best chess video I've seen. I do believe you explain chess better than most GMs.

  • You are obviously a great player, but what a sweet voice you have it makes watching these videos even nicer your husband is very lucky :)

  • How long was the clock set for each player in this game? It seems that both players are able to think far ahead in the middle game. which is very neat! Thanks for sharing your games. It is insightfull

  • It was a 20 minutes per person + 10 seconds per move game, which translates into a game of approximately 1 hour total. Yes we had time to think deeply into the position :-)

  • Mikhail Tal is Misha; Anatoly Karpov is Tolya. Do you have a nickname too, Alexandra? Another great video, ty

  • Sure, the short form of Alexandra (or Alexander also for that matter) is "Sasha". Thanks for your nice comment, I appreciate it! :-)

  • enjoyed this video, thankyou

  • Alexandra, you should be #1 in the next FIDE women ranking.

  • Hello,

I went 2 Turkey this year and was looking for some chess players, i could not find any, i was in marmaris however!? What was the weather like at this time of year? This is a complicated/exciting ruy Lopez variation. Whats this variation called which starts with Bc5? I have not played this line, i search for Nadeszhda home but could not find it on wiki? You did extremely well to get 10 points out of 11 in the tournament .You are playing such wonerful chess alexandra. Congratulations

  • @Myleanne14The Bc5 line is the Moller Variation which is very popular recently.

  • if there is a name for it I'd like to know the name of the intro piano music, thanks. Good game.

  • @dietsnapple89 The intro music is called "Watercolor" and it's included as royalty free music in a software package.

  • Great video, thanks Alexandra

  • hi thanks for the video!

im not trying to be patronising here - (your english is very good but im sure you want to improve) - but saying "Alexandra Kosteniuk comments her win against N Kosintseva" is incorrect and doesnt make sense.

you need to say "Alexandra Kosteniuk commentates on her win against N Kosintseva". or you can say "Alexandra Kosteniuk gives commentary on her win against N Kosintseva". The verb is to commentate or to give commentary on.

    Thanks again

  • @trixapete the word "comment" also has the following definition: verb (used with object) to make comments or remarks on; furnish with comments; annotate

so the way she says it makes sense to me

  • exactly, you can comment ON something but cant comment something.

dont worry about it though, i dont think she is interested in learning given that she didnt reply to my first comment.

  • I am always interested in learning :-)

  • :) me too thats why i tune into your videos!

  • @ChessQueen wow, you are extremely humble.. long live the Queen!

  • @trixapete @trixapete and you in turn made an embarasing error in writing:

"i dont think she is interested in learning given that she didnt reply to my first comment."

In this context, it would have been far more polite, knowing who Alexandra is, and a vague notion of how much she had to learn to accomplish what she has (I don't claim to), to have written:

"I don't think she is interested in learning grammar, given that she didn't reply to my first comment."

  • Sorry I did not answer before. You are absolutely right, and thanks for letting me know. Indeed, it should be comment on something. I will fix my next video intro screen!

  • Gives insight into the encyclopedic memory of games and variations of a true master.

  • Very nice game!

  • Alexandra, you make it sound so simple! Thx.

  • Nice analysis of a fun game.

  • Even though I don't play chess at all, I'm glad I subscribed to this channel. Alexandra seems like a sweet, polite, intelligent and very pretty woman, and these videos are always stimulating to the brain.
