This was one of the reasons I almost complitely stopped listening to Trivium after Crusade came out. Not only is it a crappy album but why the hell did he had to ruin the vocals of the old great songs too with this Metallica-like stupid tracktor moaning?!?!?!? At least the backing vocals rock!! Fortunately Shogun turned the direction back to screaming.

This had to have come out right around the release of the crusade because If you would notice, matt's hair isn't as short as in ascendancy and it isn't as long as it is in Shogun, so what that means that it has to be after Matt messed up his vocal chords...THAT is why they sound kinda mellow with not a whole lot of screaming in the crusade album. So he couldn't scream his songs at that point in time.
