No, but a few contacted me with emails asking why I was in ND. They were understanding. I get the feeling that a lot of people from the eastern part of the state rarely get out to the west.
I think you're right. I lived in Fargo for a few years and there is a very different attitude out there. I think being the biggest city in ND, they like to fancy themselves as a big important city and the best thing about North Dakota. Truth be told it's just one of many small Midwestern cities that all have their ups and down. Personally, I'd rather park my tail out on Butte watching one of those beautiful western sunsets.
