  • I really enjoyed watching this Classic clip.. 3 great talents . i was impressed with rich little and Sammy davis... Thanks for posting.. i needed a Good laugh....

  • Wow, the nat king cole impression was good.

  • they both are amazing!

  • Man....Sammy just nailed Nat King Cole!!!!!!!

  • does anyone know the air date of this show?

  • i wish this could be remastered. so fantastic

  • now this is entertainment

  • Never cared too much for Rich Little, look here, even Sammy did better impersonations.

  • @sownzgr8 Don´t exaggerate. I like Frank Gorshin doing impersonations (Richard Burton, Burt Lancaster) but Rich Little is good. See the roasts that he was invited and check John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, Truman Capote impersonations. I like Sammy Davis Jr and I knew he was good at singing (better than Sinatra), hosting tv shows and acting but I didn´t knew he was good on imitating.

  • @PaulWhitehouse did you ever see George Kirby?

  • Sammy needs no praise. He's the best.

  • You forget ... Little could sing!

  • Great routine with a boffo finish!

  • I wish Sammy could've sung the whole of 'Lorraine' as Nat King Cole here. God I just wanted him to keep on going!

  • INCREDIBLE!!

  • julie is REALLY and TRULY an angel...

  • Goulet!

  • Money for old rope.

  • The laugh and applause track here is annoying, intrusive.

  • Remember when entertainers used to do whole singing routines in front of an audience and without any lip-synching? Yeah.

  • Does anyone remember the Copycats ??

  • @karaterocks99 the show with the impressionst I only saw Marilyns clips from the show I never got 2 see George Kirbys what voices did he do on the show?

  • ... and Julie having a blast with these two! Great!

  • Who did Rich impersonate in the first 10 seconds? I know it was Kirk Douglas, but what character?

  • look entertainer up and it says Sammy davis jnr

  • John Cain, dont say that out loud. Peoplewill know that you know nothing about Sinatra. A genius and truly "the voice".

  • hahahahha....Sammy's impression of Sinatra doesn't do the latter justice...Sammy sounds WAY better than Frank ever dreamed of being. Sinatra was at least 80% image...Sammy was PURE talent, because he had to be.

  • His Nat King Cole impression the best i've ever heard

  • This was great! They don't do it like they used to.

  • Well Rich Little was a newcomer back then and Sammy Davis was a seasoned performer, but I liked them both.

  • I kind of doubt that. Rich Little has been doing impressions since the 60's, and this video looks like it was shot in the 70's.

  • rich's dean martin impression is so good!

  • Love this!!!

  • Rich Little, Julie Andrews, AND Sammy Davis Jr.? Woah.

  • Don't really agree with some of the praise for Sammy at Rich's expense. They're both freaking amazing. Awesome routine.

  • Ain't nobody today have talent like them ..... Imagine how long it took to rehearse all that?

  • Sammy Davis, Jr. was probably the only guy to do Nat King Cole, and if you closed your eyes you couldn't tell it wasn't Nat!

  • @gary1792 look at george kirby his nat king is amazing 2

  • @Blackjesus3 Thanks for reminding me about George Kirby. I'd forgotten about him and how good an entertainer he was. (or is?) Anyway, I searched for him on YouTube and you're right, he did a pretty good Nat King Cole, but his Joe Williams was amazing!

  • @gary1792 yee and his pearl bailey is amazing same wit hhis archie bunker and unfortenially he died in 95 from parkinsons :(

  • Sammy is sorely missed, he was terrific...one cool cat.

  • OOooooooooohhh-ho-ho-ho!!! Sammy Davis sounds EXACTLY like Dean!!!!

  • Sammy Davis, Jr. is by far the world's greatest entertainer. Period. Paragraph. End of Sentence!

  • whats the nat king song sammys singing?

  • @Blackjesus3 That tune is called "Sweet Lorraine".

  • @CriticalListener ye I found it thx :)

  • these r my 2 favourites :D and there both amazing

  • holy smokes. that nat king cole was great

  • Sammy Davis Jr. has always been to me the world's greatest entertainer! Sammy was also at one time the fastest quick draw in Hollywood. The fastest draw with a gun in Hollywood! Look it up!

  • Just beautiful! Imagine putting that together for a weekly variety show performance! Amazing performers, all three! (But Sammy sure shines the brightest of all!)

  • They're both good at impressions!

Much better than most of the guys who do impressions nowadays!

  • Sammy was such a class act!

  • Wonderful!!!!! I love this clip!!! Thanks for posting this.

  • Man the second Sammy pulled that Nat King Cole I was dying xD amazing talent on all sides up on that stage. Sammy Davis Jr is a legend. The man defines entertainment. A true blessing.

  • Sammy Was Amazing!!!

  • Sammy was better than Rich. Who knew Sammy was such a good impressionist?

  • sammy is amazing dam

  • his nat kind cole is very good

  • Also the great Nelson Riddle conducts

  • @ibriveadus

The perfection, the incredible timimg and endless talent of those days is over.

  • Pure Entertainment!!

  • This is Great! I love Sammy Davis!

  • I LOVE this !!!

    Great ! :)

  • Both are legends! Sadly most are gone but we cannot forget them! Thank goodness for the likes of YouTube we can see all these again!

  • theyre both great

  • Wow I didn't know Samm Davis did impressions! He's great!

  • yup he did lots

  • I love Julie Andrews, but I thought she got in the way here. I'd rather see Little and Davis fight it out. But maybe she had to mediate?

  • Simply amazing! Sammy Davis was THE MAN!

  • Sammy Davis Jr. was brilliant.

  • Sammy Davis Jr. was probably the best impressionist of his era. In this video his impersonations of Dean Martin and Frankie Laine, especially, are perfect!

  • Davis was probably the best *singing* impressionist but Rich Little was probably the better overall impersonator. Tough call though

  • how perfect was that.

  • A half black, half puerto rican..EXTREMEly talented..

  • Yah, but can Rich Little do Sammy Davis Jr.

  • Yes.

  • That's how incredible Sammy is, he can dance with Greg Hines, do comedy with Joey Bishop, sing with Sinatra, and do impersonations with Rich Little and is as good or better than any of them.

  • @u2baah He is was and will always be the consumate entertainer .....

  • @u2baah Amen brother!

  • Yes Sirie! this was when folks needed to sing and have talent for entertaining us...not like the 1s here to-day gone tomoroow kids. That's why I appreciate the era I was growing up...never-ever again there will be so many talent good singers, songwritters than in those days....that's for sure /

  • That Nat King Cole was absolutely perfect!

  • This is awesome - they do a great job on most of them.

None of these impressionists ever does a good Elvis, though.. they always go for the overblown parody stuff.

All in fun, though, and it was neat to see them together! Thanks for posting this!

  • Simply a classic.

  • brilliant, they dont make em like this anymore

  • Wonderful. Of course Sammy beat Rich. I do wish that the quality was better. The flickering made me a bit dizzy and sometimes I couldn't understand what Julie was saying.

  • brilliant entertainers having genuine fun together... and no, that's not a laugh track, thats a live audience

  • great entertainment,

  • Classic but too bad they used a laugh track.

  • I did not know that Sammy did impressions/impersonations... Cool clip! ★★★★★

    Katalyzt

  • liberace was off a little.

  • Some great talent from a bygone era. This was fun to watch; thanks for posting it.

  • Sammy kind of kicks Rich Little's ass, doesn't he?

  • Nope, were you drunk when writing that comment?

  • I think Sammy's helped by the fact that it's done in song and he's the better singer. Rich's impressions were a bit more subtle but still very good.

  • @goldsmithmarc I suppose, but Rich Little isn't used to doing singing impressions, I don't think. Sammy was an amazing singer already. But Rich Little's Nixon is astounding.

  • @goldsmithmarc Rich's ass is like a used soccer ball at a garage sale after this. Sammy doin Nat King Cole at 2:47 is sick. We all know (well at least we should), that Frank Gorshin was the man when it came to impressions, but Sammy crossing over into other peoples turf and takin em to school is amazing.

  • @Waszma ugh george kirby was better then frank :D

  • @Blackjesus3 I liked George Kirby a lot, and he was great doing Nat. Overall...Gorshin was the man. Use to watch both of em on Sullivan when I was a kid. If you like impressions, anyone seen Reggie Reg do Denzel Washington? It's sick, check it out...

  • @Waszma yee i saw him :D but george kirby could do girls voices and singing impressions of girls which frank couldnt do :D

  • o wow that dean part was great

  • It was good..enjoyed the hell out of it!! Bravo!!

  • Rich Little's Johnny Cash sounds like Mr. Ed. The Talking Horse

  • No,it`s spot on !!

  • Sorry, he does do a good johnny cash but the way he does it sounds like Mr. Ed

  • sammy did great impressions. and rich little was good too. although rich was always better at caricature in my opinion. thanks for posting this.

  • I didn't know that Sammy does impressions. He is really good!

  • Rich Little's Johnny Cash is awful.

  • I never thought Rich Little's Impressions were that great. Sammy could always do dean Martin almost better than Dean...Sammy's Nat Cole is spooky though

  • @Alternativesoul2008 u dont think rich is good at impressions?

  • Rich Little does a good Dean Martin

  • ok, time to collect a complete list... S- Frank Sinatra R- Tony Newley R- Dean Martin S- Jerry Lewis S- Perry Como R- Bing Crosby S- Nat King Cole R- Liberace S- Tony Bennett R- Johnny Cash S- Benny King S- Frankie Laine R- Robert GOULEEEEEETTT R & S- Elvis Presley
  • I love Sammy, and his Nat King Cole was so good. Rich Little was on for most of the impressions, and Julie Andrews is as sweet as always. Thanks for posting!

  • Frank loved Sammy. Sammy was the most talented member of the Rat Pack and Frank knew it. He is 10x the performer as any of these cardboard one-dimensional leads of today. Rich had his time. He had an hour or two of fame. Good to see this older, clean material when you had to be versitile and had

    to have some talent. Thanx..

  • nvm, i just did the research and found out it was Tony Bennett- Firefly. lol

  • can someone please tell me the name of that song sammy was doing? i heard a line go like "firefly ball" or something like that. can u tell me the name of that song, and the original artist pls

  • o man, i wish i wuda bin able to see this live. how great is this

  • who is rich doing when he first walks on??

  • Kirk Douglas

  • It is Muhammed Ali.

    Best Wishes

    Chimb65

  • Kirk Douglas

  • GREAT vid! Always loved Rich Little. Sammy surprised me...He's a very good impressionist as well ! His Jerry Lewis was right on...about as good as you can get !

  • Love the old stuff. When People could really sing, pure and simple singing.
