It's a long explanation, but i'll explain the basics here..

#1 Go south of the city past the 2 long pools and up a set of stairs

#2 Go south until you see stairs going down then up (Something like that)

#3 Then you should be able to navigate yourself because you can see the caves on the map- enter them when you get there

#4 Go down a ladder and then south, Zanik is in the cave there, might be different for each player though.
