Oh, and one more thing I might add. (sorry for spamming) haha. The whole "being African and not being accepted into French society" I don't buy that one bitt. France is enormously diverse and there are plenty of non-whites that are born there that play an influential and important role in French society. So even if you're born there and soeak the language, you're French, regardless of what others say. :))
, (I'm American) and I've been to Paris twice. Prolly a handful of people came off as arrogant, but quite a majority seemed friendly and even eager to help you. So it's good to keep an open mind and expect less... Let the French believe in what they wanna believe, don't let it get to you. :D
Lemme start off by saying that you're really pretty! :3 haha, okay, serious mode. I totally comprehended what you're tryna say, and yes, the French can come off as quite cold. But from what I've experienced, I'd like to say otherwise.. I believe every culture displays somewhat of a general behavior towards foriegners. Even in America! That's just how it is, it's not just the French that do that. :)) In fact, from what I've experienced, the French seem to be pretty friendly people.... (cont'd)
well to be perfectly honest, i have heard white americans that been to france and complained about rudeness and they were white. so i don't think its cuz you were black. but its not surprising if you met racists, there are racist everywhere. whether its bad luck you met bad people or whatever.
Keep looking at people crazy, because culture or no, manners STILL MATTER! I hope you and your goat live happily ever after lol I think this vid was more objective and it didn't come off as French-bashing. You seemed calmer and it translated. I can def understand the close-mindedness. People in general can be close-minded, it just depends on the topic and the environment. You were much louder at the end of the video...a good volume.
@brittpkemp lol your comment threw me off in the beginning...lol I was like uhn? Then I realized I had said something about goats and sheeps in the vid! Thanks for watching the video! I inboxed you what I thought about ur comments on facebook :)
lol, thanks, but it's not abt fitting in! I don't have to fit in to enjoy France! Nobody ever truly fits in when they visit somewhere else & I am not naturally American so I have seen a diff part of the world! I enjoy & LOVE France! I am just bringing out some points in my videos that I thot ppl will be interested in! It's just 2 videos so far & I don't want anyone assuming that I don't like France! I will be making more vids where I will talk abt what I think is positive and amazing abt here!
I hope that you are able to find a place to fit in while in France, or at least to enjoy it, if you can't really "fit in." I know this is a challenge for many Americans to get past that attitude that the French have.
I haven't visited France, but I have been to the French-speaking part of Switzerland (maybe the attitudes are different there, though). I saw lots of interracial couples (mostly bw/wm). I didn't talk to them, so I don't know what struggles they went through.
Its sad because this AND the people like this will ruin Europe in the years ahead, UNLESS SOMETHING CHANGES ASAP
