Conservatives go on and on and on and on and on about their "principles". Ideology never saved anybody. Only common sense and smart solutions do. Ronald Regan as great as he was, shared the same approval ratings as Obama does now at one point in his term. He was forced to compromise on some his positions. Both FDR and RR were great for their times. Conservatives may be right on many issues, but not all issues.
