I can see why they got complaints. Why should the men be out working while their wives sit at home and watch gay softcore porn on their soaps? I'd be pissed if I found out they were showing that during the daytime to titillate all the housewives while their husbands are out working. Furthermore, YOUNG CHILDREN could easily see this during the day and become confused. Little Johnny might think its normal to kiss other boys.

@MsHyde1 This episode took place on New Year's Eve...2010! It's true that it's not very graphic, but for American daytime TV this was a huge step!

@srayj: Thanks. Wow, I thought it was at least ten years old. It's really scary American day time TV is so conservative but also good it is changing. I was just a bit amused because in Germany they show gay sex (and I mean definitely way more grafic than this) and male frontal nudity on daytime tv since more than 15 years. In daily soaps mainly watched by teenagers, too. I guess that way it never is a big deal and not seen as something bad.

@MsHyde1 Sadly, American TV is ruled by networks who fear that they will have trouble from prudes and homophobes if they depict gay sex as openly as straight sex. To be fair, straight sex is much tamer on daytime TV than primetime, but the double standard is that it's still shown, while intimacy between gay couples isn't. Did you know that these gorgeous men and their wonderful storyline were written out with no warning because it apparently upset the demographic?

The funny thing is, if the producers and channels would just be brave for once, stick with a gay story line or even emphasise it and igore hate emails of some idiot homopobes they would realise how many viewers they would actually win. Apart from gay men millions of girls and women love this. America really got issues when it comes to depiction sex and nudity opposed to violence.

@MsHyde1 I agree. I am a girl and I loved this just as much or more than some of the other love stories because the acting was genuine and it was a great storyline. If they'd had the guts to let it play out longer, I think it would have been even better. Hopefully we will continue to grow and learn that love is love and our TV shows will some day treat all couples equally.
