Love Cyndi, always have. I don't get Madonna and feel a bit sorry for her now her songs and latest song flopped again. Madonna relies on shock tactics to grab headlines to promote her songs. But that's all that she's got and now she's older people really don't want to see her octopus anymore.
Im a huge Madonna fan, I followed her more closely than anyone else BUT I loved all those artists I grew up to, Michael, Prince, Cyndi, Whitney. Screw the "Competitive" side of the industry, at the end of the day its Art, it's Music - it's NOT a competition to see who's better. How many hits you have is irrelevant your still an Artist. Cyndi did it her way and is still making beautiful music today. Theres enough room on your ipod for all Great artists and great music, you dont have to choose.

Cyndi supports fellow women, she stresses the fact she is unlike Madonna but is full of praise also. She supports GaGa too.
Madonna is different she has to be controversial as always and calls GaGa "Reductive" in that condescending british accent. Women can do anything, what stops them are other women.
i never understood why people would compare them. they are 2 different people, 2 different artists. one has nothing to do with the other. what cuz they're both female , 80's singers? so what? and people PLEASE stop comparing / dissing gaga with madonna. again, 2 different people, artists and generations!
oh I love love love Cyndi- she makes me feel every time I hear her speak or sing, a true artist in the bohemian sense. She soke wonderfully about Madonna, and admitted she needs to focus on the business side more. Madonna should give her advice and Cyndi could share some songs, after all, her songs may not be mainstream anymore, but she is a prolific writer. Madonna is the Queen of pop, but Cyndi is like the Queen's sister

On the other side, Madonna has shown that she's grown up since she started to raise a family. Although these women have taken different paths throughout their careers, I do appreciate what they represent in terms of gender equality.
