  • once my brother played scary music while i was playing the temple at like 10:00 and he walked up behind me and went Boo! and i practically shat myself.

  • Damn! Nintendo can make a catchy song! I love this temple. :D

  • I want that flute interjection as a ringtone!

  • Cooperative temples FTW

  • does anyone else find it ironic how Medli, a bird-like creature is the sage of the Earth temple while Markar a plant dude is sage of the Wind Temple? Does anyone else find that very very ironic?

  • @knucklesfan8 Not really. Forest and wind temple often go together in zelda games. It would be ironic if Medli was the fire sage since she's a descendant of zoras.

  • @knucklesfan8 I noticed that.

  • thumbs up if you found the ghost ship but were to scared shitless to go in just the song terrified me lol i never went in i found it several times never went in now i find it in the midlle of the ocean and just teleport to a island thumbs up if this was you LOL

  • played this game at age 25. jalhalla was the easiest fuckin boss in the game.

  • @jumbojokerjesse the first 3 bosses were so much easier.

  • Best temple in the game. Period.

  • Favorite temple

  • this place was rather cockish

  • shadow temple or earth temple? freakier which one

    :-)

  • @fubbyguy232 shadow temple all the way!!

  • @BigSmileReviewFan Haha i agree!

  • Comment removed

  • @fubbyguy232 both. i wet myself in both temples

  • @Zeldaisepic360 I only wet myself in the shaow *o*

  • the bone chilling feeling when "they" came out from the coffins, the lifelessness that was upon them, bloody hungry. I remember the circular room that had coffins on every part of the wall, & there was no way out until you found the coffins they were in and had to kill them. I sat there for approximately 25 mins killing them with bombs refusing to go near after having to experience those glaring red eyes after the 1st encounter. At least I can say I beat Wind Waker never bitten <3.

  • there are the scariest things in this place Hands from a black hole that grab you, Freakin zombie things that give u noogies, and floating skulls of fire or some smoke that gets u high and sound lik an old woman laughing at someone falling down but i luv it

  • I've always thought it strange that Medli--the Bird--helps you in the EARTH Temple, when Makar--the Plant--is your aid in the WIND Temple. I know both can fly, but still; wouldn't you think the plant, borne of the ground, would correspond to the temple of earth? and surely a bird would prefer her own domain?

Then again, I figure Nintendo probably did it this way solely for speculation's sake.

  • @TrikkaTriforce I think it has to do more with the games' themes complimenting each other, or contrast. The game deliberately mentions the two a lot, so it's not like they weren't aware.

  • I remember walking around this temple because my older brother last saved it there and I didn't want to make a new file. I was only 6 just walking around and i remember the cofin thing on the wall opened and the skele thing screamed at me. I almost cried and turned off the gamecube xD

  • The music sounds Australian in a way. Its neat :)

  • I think a game of zelda where the story of the mastersword was told would be one of the most epic games ever... this way all of the zelda games or at least the vast majority would be mentioned and maybe somehow played again in this new game...

  • @yudomax

Skyward sword just called. It has your story.

  • @SwordsandMushrooms yeah but not the way it was created, I ean, yeah, the godess of I dont know what but imagine, a game of zelda from the very beginning... the whole world of zelda, how ganondorf was created, hyrule, link bla bla bla..

  • I like this temple. : )

  • I hear an austrailian Didgredoo.

  • I remember being very young... Playing through this temple... Everything was going fine, but it was late at night, so I was going to reach a stopping place and then go to bed. My TV wasn't too bright, so I couldn't see all that well. Nobody had warned me about them. I turned a corner, and out of the darkness I saw those red eyes and heard that scream... I think I wet myself considerably.

  • gets scary at 0:43 to 1:17

  • I got so scared of the redeads when I was younger i got my mum to do those parts...

Well, to be honest we did most of the game as a team so it was cool.

  • this is more like the old shadow temple mostly because f the ghosts and coffins and everthing being killed with light

  • 1:40 when that weird whistle happens that really scares me

  • I LOVE this song. Damn good beat. So seductive and daring...

  • @utubejunky0130 You are dumb correct? you did learn about evolution didnt you?

All things on this planet originated in the sea dumbass. First it was fish, then reptiles, then mammals and birds. With enough mutation hundreds/thousands/millions of years, just about anything can evolve into something else. Why dont you stop skipping science class you moron

  • @modderreddom 'scuse me, can we get the hate out of a wind waker video comments? kthx, although your point is very valid dont have to be such a dick about it =)

  • the dijerigoo or however its written makes this music soooo cool...

  • Man...gotta love those chord progressions.

To me, this was the only "temple" that actually resembled a "temple".

  • Honestly, my favorite enemy is the darknut. They pose a challenge, but you finish with sportsmanship... The only time I had extreme trouble with them was on the VERY LAST WAVE of the savage labrynth with 4 maroon ones...

  • best dungeon in the game by far

  • Damn that Didgeridoo is amazing #FTW

  • does anyone else find it odd that the Wind Temple is all earthy? I mean, doesn't it seem like Medli should be the Wind Temple sage, since she's a Rito, and can fly? And shouldn't Makar be the Earth Temple sage since he's a Korok, basically a tree? I mean, The Wind temple has plants and stuff- while the earth temple is dark and creepy... does it seem like the Wind Temple should really be the Earth Temple and vice-versa to anyone else? Idk to me it just makes more sense if it were flip-flopped.

  • @utubejunky0130 Thats exactly what I say!

  • @utubejunky0130 This is gonna blow your mind too: Medli's ancestors were Zoras, the rito are like the evolved versions of the zoras. so that just makes less sense

  • @XRulerOfHellX ...what? I am utterly confused now.... O.o how can a bird person evolve from a fish person? that makes no sense >.>

  • @utubejunky0130 you're right about Medli being more suited to the Wind Temple, but I disagree with your point regarding the Temple's being swapped. The Wind Temple is very much based on wind, even if there are trees. The Earth Temple has no wind whatsoever. And they weren't referring to Earth as in the forest kind of earth, but earth in relation to... well, it's hard to explain. It has to do with death and the fact that things return to the ground when they die, or something like that

  • This is my favourite dungeon in the game, minus the countless amounts of Redeads.

  • this is my favorite song of all zelda games

  • I, I love digeridoo's... oUo

  • wow man imagine LIVING in a dungeon it would be something like this. me: mom i'm going to the boss room to play some video games mom: ok i will be in the mini-boss room cocking lunch it will be ready at 1 O'clock. AWESOME :D

  • Standard digeridoo.

  • @thegamegorilla nope i was just a kid when i played this and the read eyes gave me nightmares D:

  • awsome digeridoo solo :D

  • Am i the only one who stopped playing at this part when i was a young child because the redeads scared the living shit outta me?

    They still kinda do...

  • Oh mannnn the memories! I poured so much time into this game, trying to take a picture of every boss! Zelda games, say what you will, for being repetitive and banal, are always absolute quality. Tell me you didn't love watching Link waltz around in his cel-shaded glory!

  • didgeridooooooo

  • lol the top comments; one from deep thinking and the other about australia. brilliant :D

  • @lollopisemis Two opposites! :D

  • this temple is scary!!! especially because of the redeads.

    but its still cool!!

  • I really think that the Earth Temple could have been the Forest Temple in OoT. I mean they're both mansion like, deal with ghosts, and are related to earth.

  • @997alg Often when thinking of wind (ventus) it's usually in the green color (proof from bakugan, and kingdom hearts) plus Makar is a tree thing from the forest, Fido's a Kariri, forest medallion is green, and look inside the wind temple it looks like a forest temple, so wind temple is like the forest temple and earth temple is like the shadow and spirit temples, mostly spirit 'cause earth is usually brown and orange. I get what your saying since the Deku Tree is the spirit of the Earth.

  • @klaskycsupologofan Not only that, but did you know that in OoT the Forest Temple was supposed to be a Wind Temple? That is why the medallion has a propellor-shaped symbol on it!

  • @MrFantasnick Yeah I learned that from the Zelda Wiki (Not Wikia)

  • @MrFantasnick in japan and eastern countries, wind is asociated to forests, and leaves dancing because of the wind, that's why. although i always looked at the medallion like four leaves forming a whirlwind

  • I will always remember this temple for one reason. The Redeads freaked me out so much that I couldn't continue going through this place for like a month. Plus, I kept loosing Medli all the time and I got tired of going back to get her xD

  • ReDeads scared me the first time when I played, I was 12 back then, they still creep me out, I'm 21.

  • @xXGrellyXx My freind calls me a baby for being afraid of ReDeads and Floormasters

(Can you blame me for being scared of them?!)

  • @Animelover1859 No one can blame you for that, I got the hell out of there cause those floormasters freaking scared me! And I haven't even gotten to the Redeads yet! So I'm just gonna avoid the Earth Temple, its floormasters and its Redeads that sound liek elephants.XD

  • @KillerZoeh Lol, yea. (My freind hasn't gotten to the Earth temple yet, so I can't wait to see her expression >:3)

  • @Animelover1859 And to think that I left Medli in there.

Oh well, she can make friends with the redeads until I get my sister to do that temple for me!XD

  • @KillerZoeh Haha LOL xD

  • What instrument is that? You know, the one that starts at 0:16. I really like that sound.

  • @ClimbLadders It's called a "Didgeridoo", it's a native Australian instrument.

  • Lol i'm playing this dungeon right now while i'm listening to this XD

  • did anyone hear that?????

that was shigeru miyamoto laughing at our frustration.

  • Dungeons & creepy music : Go hand in hand since OoT.

  • when the ReDeads shrieke, I almost have the same reaction as Link :<

  • god, this was a hard temple to beat. Not that it was technicly "Hard" but that this music always made me wonder if someone was following me. The worst part was when I had to go into the tomblike area /w the silver key and the redeads. (Loved the puzzles though!)

  • my fav temple in the game and my fav enemy of all zelda is the ReDead

  • This should be in the first temple in majoras mask...with Odolwa :)

  • Only one thing could make this track (Tracks, if you count Ganon's Tower version)... EXTEND IT (THEM).

  • That horn at the beginning of the song always gave me freaking chills when I went in the Earth Temple.

  • I've always loved this music ever since I first played Wind Waker. I'm not sure what it is about this specific track, but it's just so... mystical. I really enjoy the didgeridoo in it, but that could just be because I'm Aussie. :)

  • i got wind waker in 2002 or somthing and i beat in in about 2008 because the reedeads scared me so much... they still scare me

  • This is some trippy music O__o

  • for some reason those sounds, like the one at 0:14, sounds to me like when link gets hurt or lets go from a ledge. Every time I'm like "..wtf!" and look at my heart meter. LOL

  • I like the Earth Temple

  • why the fuck did i sell my gamecube?

  • @wasamambo93 yeah why did you lmfao mines still goin strong

  • Wind Temple is so much more subtle

  • this song grows on you as you play

  • out of all the temples in windwaker this one has to be the scariest damn dead zombies lol

  • Headphones make this song awesome!

  • @ShadyNightCrow Hey, I was wearing headphones when I read your comment! XD

  • @ESHIGGINS123 Me too! XDD

  • this sounds like it could be in avatar:the last airbender

  • What instrument is that horn? May someone tell me if they know?

  • @flamegirl24 I believe it is a didgeridoo.

  • @Twiforce Thank you, but i know that the didgeridoo's in there, I meant the horn at 0:07 or is that a didgeridoo as well?

  • @flamegirl24 Hmm, not sure what that horn is, sorry.

  • i love this game more than any others... thanks for posting this track:)

the only better track made for the game was the theme from Dragon Roost Island, was better on the actual soundtrack CD than the game itself with the xtra basslines.

  • Was anyone else annoyed wth the reverse naming? It bugged me how the air temple was all earthly and vice-versa, and I swap the names in my head.

  • Yes, definitely. I thought I was the only one who thought so.

  • when i hear the didgeridoo i feel like there is a fly in my head going back and forth and my eyes want to move with it

  • it sounds australian lol

  • @weskerfan45 probably because of the didgeridoo

  • @weskerfan45 my thoughts exactly

  • @weskerfan45 i live in aus :P

  • cool

  • luv the dingeredoo ; )

    did i write this right?

  • Man I love this tune, especially from 1:30 onward. Freakin awsome.

  • Agreed :)

For some reason, this song creeps me the hell out, though, as much as I love it.

  • @6934612

the whole friggen temple creeps me out XDDD

  • I think the Earth Temple was once a sacred place for a primitive tribe, take a look at it. The music has tribal drums and music, there are odd idols scattered throughout the dungeon, the Poes have painted masks, and the ReDeads are really tribal like, they have the big earrings and paintings on them.

  • It's a temple racist against blacks.

  • @MANEATINGWREATH thats why its a temple

  • @MANEATINGWREATH To further on this, i believe that the temple's location in the south (It's in Sector G3 on the sea chart, at the very south) meant that it was near the Gerudo desert when it was accessible from Hyrule. This is likely an influencing factor on the art style, and the feel of the temple, along with the soundtrack.

  • @MANEATINGWREATH Or maybe it's just a game and you're over analyzing it.

  • @pokenerdxbree meh, boring, just enjoy imagining the background story for the dungeon

  • @lightignakelloyd I guess so.

  • @MANEATINGWREATH My guess is it was the Spirit Temple long ago before the flood washed over Hyrule. It would sense with the atmosphere of the place and the fact that all the mirror puzzles are SO reflective (pun intended) of the Spirit Temple in Ocarina of Time. Not to mention it's also where the Mirror Shield is hidden away just like in Ocarina

  • @420FahQ2 i know you wrote this two months ago, but there's no relation at all. where's the twin colossus? not to mention that it's on a mountaintop. WW is meant to make you think, not to make you really believe its what happened after OoT.

  • If you had the hurricane spin move you could use it to run down the hallway with all of the caskets lined up to open them up all at once. I did it because I refused to keep moving, so I just did it all at once. I died. XD

  • IT kind of reminds me of african music. XD

    But it's still a good track. C:

  • I know does.

  • The Earth Temple's theme really isn't Earth, when you think about it; the theme there is death.

  • But the dead are buried in the earth, aren't they?

  • Hmm. There is a point there.

  • i love 1:13-1:30

  • i like that part 1:21-1:30.

  • When I heard it, I knew in that moment this temple will be a little bit scary^^.

  • this is when your with medli the bird girl

  • witch, in a strange way, makes the temple a bit scarier... The blue sculitas make it even worse, because you get disoriented and helpless. The wind temple is more earth themed than this.

  • Excellent, thanks for uploading 5/5 stars!
