the only reason ford is discontinuing the ranger is because the ranger is based off the mazda m series or whatever. anyway mazda is getting rid them so therefore ford does. i have a 94 ranger and i love it to hell. havent really driven it since i only have my permit and it isnt registered insured etc until i get my licence and a job which next thursday i go for my licence

@inventorchris2 They won't. The ranger is retired as of this year. The model you see here has been deemed by ford to be "too large", it's 90% the size of the F-150.

This one is available with a 4 cylinder gas engine, a 4 cylinder diesel, and a straight 5 diesel. Transmissions are a 5 speed manual (gas only) a 6 speed automatic, and a 6 speed manual (diesel only).

@Aurilius06 They have always had rangers in other countries. For instance, South America has had a Crew cab version of the north america style ranger for years. They also have a 3.0 diesel.

@denny099999999 I googled it and for Europe, ranger is produced in Ulyanovsk UAZ (Ulyanovskiy Avto Zavod) in Russia. For other continents, other factories. So quality might be different in different continents.
