@glasspig The most common theory is rolling the 2 ton block up a ramp, the Great Pyramids have about 2.3 million blocks. The general estimate is the project to an average workforce of 40,000 people, 10 years to build it. If you where to say 50 people per block, it would be moving 80 lbs per person and you have 800 blocks moving at once. This works out to be less the one block per group per day or one per day with 77 days off per year. Does 50 people moving one block per day seem unreasonable?

The Theory of Evoultion was written by Charles Darwin. I have a question about the theory of evolution and I hope someone can answer it. Since Charles Darwin wrote the theory of evolution how can a theory suddenly become a fact without proof? Even now evoultion is called a fact but still recognized as a theory.
@mayjason84 "Theory" is as far as we can go in Science really, and the word is reserved for an hypothesis that has so many evidence (facts) for it that it should be taken as the better description of reality available to date (note that there is no such thing as "perfect description of reality in Science). Think that the other important theory in modern Biology is the Cellular theory: That is, that cells are the basis (unit) for the life we know. Nobody questions it, and it's "just" a theory.

Darwin's natural selection theory basically says that there is variation within populations of species and those with advantageous traits are more likely to survive and reproduce thus passing on those traits. Natural selection is a key mechanism of evolution, but is not the sole mechanism of evolution. And by the way, evolution IS a fact.

The only way a theory stops becoming so is when it has been proven wrong by new evidence - thus producing another theory. (See the cycle?). I trained as a Stone Mason ;o) ). I've just searched "Granite-working In Ancient Egypt" and it confirms it. Search some of the experimental archeology that was also done showing just 20 men could pull a 2t block up an earthen ramp quite easily. Pyramid building is no mystery at all.

Just google relevant keywords, (e.g. pyramid quartz copper saw). Cutting granite wit soft metal chisels isn't impossible... It'd have been frustrating and lengthy and you'd have needed a continual supply of chisel makers replacing the worn out blades... but not impossible. We're just too lazy nowadays to realise that a bit of elbow grease works!

The general estimate is the project to an average workforce of 40,000 people, 10 years to build it. If you where to say 50 people per block, it would be moving 80 lbs per person and you have 800 blocks moving at once. This works out to be less the one block per group per day or one per day with 77 days off per year. Does 50 people moving one block per day seem unreasonable?

Darwin's natural selection theory basically says that there is variation within populations of species and those with advantageous traits are more likely to survive and reproduce thus passing on those traits. Natural selection is a key mechanism of evolution, but is not the sole mechanism of evolution. And by the way, evolution IS a fact.

The only way a theory stops becoming so is when it has been proven wrong by new evidence - thus producing another theory. (See the cycle?). Darwin's theory is backed up by 20 years of solid research, composed of undertaking detailed studies on numerous species to see how they evolved and adapted in a changing environment. :) Hope that helped.

Creationists must not see how stupid they look when they argue against hard scientific evidence and logic. They aren't helping their interpretation of religion with their irrational arguments. They say the few missing bits of evidence mean evolution isn't true, so they're admitting evidence matters, yet they have none to support their theories.
