their little digital amps do suck... but ive played some line 6 stacks that actually sounded pretty good. not as good as a marshall, but pretty good.

IMO, the Marshall MG Series amps suck. Get a 5w blackstar microstack. It's a tube amp.

no, i actually backed out on that guitar...got the american strat aaand picking up a Ibanez S470dx this wkend...not as nice as my current S, but w/ some updated features, i like it.

well I'm considering getting the RGA121... why didn't you decide to get it? and concerning the S Prestige, if i get a stock S Prestige, how's the tone?

i think in general ibanez puts the right pick-ups in their guitars, especially the prestige models...i haven't even thought about changing them to aftermarket pick-ups. i changed my mind about the RGA, b/c at the time i already had that S which was 2 humbuckers just like the RGA and i was going for a totally new tone...hence the strat i picked up. that's the only reason.

oh totally different...at least it would be, haha. i don't use it for that purpose...i know you see a lot of metal/rock videos up but i also play all other styles of music. which is why i bought it...single-coil tone can't be created by a humbucker (vice versa of course too)

yeah, i''m quite aware. but i hate the tone of superstrats, and much favor the tone of strats.

but at the moment i need a guitar capable of jazz/shred.
