Who dared say that ABBA were not rock'n'rollers? Listen to "Watch out", "Hey, Helen" and "Rock Me". Being a pop-act does not mean you cannot come up with great rock tunes. ABBA could play and sing uptempo pop, slow-tempo pop, reggae, ballads, classical music and yes, rock!
Esta música, até onde sei, só saiu no Brasil no LP Tropicana Discoteca pela RCA Victor em 1977. E eu sou um dos possuidores desta joia. E a propósito comprei este LP unicamente por conta desta musica.
The riff! The line! -I don´t know which to choose from my rack now: my guitar or my bass... well bass it´s gotta be - too delicious not to be played ;D
Gotta tell you Shay, you flash the pictures too fast. The human eye normally can't make sense out of images faster than 1/60th second, most people about 1/40th. When it's a picture of an interesting girl, it should last 2 to 3 seconds, at least. Please do it again. And give us dirty old men a break. Thanks.
It's absolutely the best video including WATCH OUT song, very well done, congratulations and keep doing more and more beautiful videos like this! We Love ABBA!! Greetings from KIKO, in Brazil
This is so FRIGGIN' COOL!!! I thought I was an ABBA fan but I never heard this song before and I love it as much now as if I'd discovered it in the '70s....You've helped give me a personal ABBA Rennaisance!! Thanks!
Has anyone received a black and white autographed postcard of Agnetha in the last few years. If so, has anyone had one of these signed postcards professionally authenticated. Because I've received one recently, and I've seen a number of people on the internet, have recieved the same thing, and I'm unsure if it is authentic, original and hand signed by Agnetha herself.
mine says "Agnetha Faltskog My Colouring Book". She has signd the front of it on blue ballpoint pen.Can you tell me more about your autograph from Agnetha. Thanks and have a great day. Allan
I was kidding (I haven't actually gotten anything), but it sounds like what you received might have been a promotional item for her most recent album.
I don't know if your card was actually signed by her, but it would be wonderful if it was an authentic autograph.
never heard this song before. Someone commented on Lenny Kravitz "Are You Gonna Go My Way" and said he totally ripped off from this song. Yeah...I don't even think so. Pure Abba....and Lenny's song is pure Lenny
Omg! They played this on the swedish radio just a few weeks ago! So cool! U get a little tired of the producers choise sometimes, allways playing the most known and biggest hits. So when u actually tune in and hear the intro of this song u´ll get so happy and it feels as if it was the first time u ever heard it!!
That's a good catch. ABBA were always MOR, so Born to be Wild may have an inspiration. Björns vocal styling is similar, too. I sometimes think I hear echoes of Jefferson Airplane in the girls' vocals.
We think alike. Last month I got an ABBA box set, and it is truly astonishing how much incredible timeless music ABBA released. It is astonishing to think this song was recorded in 1973 or 1974. My personal choice for a "new" ABBA single would be Intermezzo No. 1. People would think it's something new from Trans-Siberian Orchestra. And then... BAM! You tell them it's from ABBA. And it was recorded in 1975. Then ABBA sales go through the roof, because they haven's sold enough records yet! ;)
Haha. Not enough records by far! :) They had such a wide range, and I had no idea until I saw that on youtube. Yeah, truly timeless. In The City. is another great example. Actually, they were before their time with that one .
OMG I just discovered this great song.....Being a HUGE ABBA fan, I can't believe I've never heard it before. Aren't they the best group ever. Great Video too.!
Although this wasn't one of my favourite ABBA songs, it's still good! Brings back a lot of memories, wow. Amazing pictures to go along with the song too, Friday looks AWESOME at 1:19
Wasn't this on the B-Side of the Waterloo 45rpm record? I still have it!! I must have been 12 years old when I bought this. I haven't heard this one in 30 years!
Thanks so much for putting this vid back!!! I actually think it's one of your best vids and I was really sad when they removed it!!! Now I've found it again, so thanks very much for doing such wonderful vids!
Yes. Yes. YES!! Absolutely great job on the video, Shay.....and the song, well, for me, perfection! Then again....look at the group doing it. :--) The only ones who could do it better as far as I am concerned -- were them. :--)
I think Björn should have done more lead vocals!

I was amazed to find out that 'Watch Out' was released as the B-Side to 'Waterloo' in 1974. It is a very rock and roll style of song.

Apparently, Kylie Minogue is going to perform with Bjorn at an upcoming tribute concert.
That is her dream, and my fantasy, come true in one go xx
gummygobbler1 2 years ago
Kylie may be a pop star in her own right, but let's face it: Frida or Agnetha she ain't!
I can't see what's so exciting about her joining BJÖRN.

A gem "hidden" as a B-side....today artists cannot even compose quality like this as an "A" Side.

Do the first few bars of the vocals remind anyone of the first part of Steppenwolf's "Born to Be Wild?"
It took me almost 30 years to make that association. :)

Just imagine how this song would sound with todays technics! Drums on this one sound terrible.

Yeah, to make it sound like todays "junk"???
You have got to be kidding!!!!!!!!!!
ABBA is to good, to have some touches of todays sound in it. Especially in an ABBA rock song!!!

amen. don't pollute the good music from the past with the byproduct music made by freaks making it today.
everything they touch gets contaminated and ruined.
