  • i'm going to transplant a medium flamboyant soon. any help?

  • @captainmendossa Depending on the size of the trunk, there are a number of things that can be done a year in advance, (root pruning), to help a successful transplant along, but sounds like you're running out of time. One foot diameter of root ball per one inch diameter of tree trunk is a good equation to keep in mind, and the root ball should be close to half as deep as it is wide, or 4' w x 2' h. Try some B-1 vitamin mix after the move. Best of luck to you Captain!

  • @BigTreesSnohomish will try that thx.

  • That's a beautiful Monkey Puzzle. I can never understand why people would want to get rid of it. Hopefully it survived. I transplanted a 17' ft specimen 20 years ago and it eventually died. All of my seed grown specimens are flourishing and have been in the ground for well over 20 years now.

  • u dont have to tie branches back?

  • Did it survive? I hope so.

  • It sure did!

  • Most people don't have any idea of the value in the tree itself.
