strange- the view from hospital windows is similar in all of the developed world. Get well soon.
Just a thought in response to the subject matter - funerals or methods of going about disposing of what we leave behind when we die ( be it our bodies or our belongings) will surely be a growing market in the next decade. How we live has undergone a technical revolution, but how we die, so far, has not. I think that will change by the time the e-generation is ready to shuffle off this mortal coil
You will be old someday maybe. Maybe they should shoot everyone over 75. Then when you get that age you will know what to expect. Thanks. Have a good day.
I don't think there is a great deal of hope. My own perspective is that this is all leading to a conflagration that will end with far more tyrannical government & vastly lowered standard of living. That assumes that we are here at all. Personally, I think that life altering wars on the scale of World War II are also possible. We'll just have to see how things play out.
@twistedbydsign99 sudden blood clots in both lungs. Had shortness of breath and after a few test, they sent me to the ER. Happened out of the blue and another clot going to the heart or brain was the reason they hospitalized me ASAP. Be safe and stay active!
Don't blame old people. Blame wall street and big business. Wall street runs this country and they get money from government-bailout. The medical business (big pharma, hospitals, home care agencies, nursing homes) are making a killing. They are overcharging for prescriptions and home care, and they love to bilk medicaid and medicare, and the government loves to be bilked by them(big business) because they need their money to be re-elected. It's not old people, it' big business and government.
@614jgirl I agree that we should blame old people. I'm just pointing out the affect of the older generation is going to have on us and the future of the US..and world. thanks for you comments!
my mom was in the nursing home for 15 years. Medicaid and medicare paid for most of the nursing home. social security paid the rest. the medical bills and an enormous amount of drugs was just REDICKULUS! all the young'uns are paying for it. we are in a medical-nazi concentration camp that will drain the life-blood out of this country. why live an extra 15 years when you can't even leave your bed?
have they not work all there life , payed tax , and all , now with super low interest rates they have to take undue risk with no bank interest , before they smashed glass segal , the rate of 15 to 20 % bank interest was queit liveable, now banks send you a bill , have some more repect rather than the raw numbers , its a bout time we got back to making money before we spend it , like the good old days , this printing trap is the crime not the silver wave , hope you get well soon ,
The silver generation leaving the economy will cause a huge collapse, followed by massive inflation by central banks. The ppl who believe deflation can never happen will be shocked, and as a result of Central Bankers throwing QE at the problem will cause hyperinflation and shoch the ones who thought that was not possible. I would prepare for both for that is what is barreling towards us.
