  • Royal Mail functions better than Canada Post because with addresses that specific there is little room for error. If Royal Mail delivers to the wrong place something is very seriously wrong.

  • Royal Mail does not work, they lose stuff, stuff comes late and I've had packages containing relatively expensive electronics left in my back garden because I wasn't in when it arrived.

You know what we do in England when we want to make sure a package goes where we want? We hire DHL (Germans) or UPS (Americans).

  • @Dibria Yeah Royal Maill is crap and they do the whole strikey thing but when DC eventually privatises the whole thing we will look back upon these golden years...

  • Videos like this remind me how relatively small Loading Ready Run still is, but that's small in a good way, I don't want to be down voted and have Graham make a witty comment about it.

  • Kathleen makes the best faces.

  • Hey, I live in West Westerchesterbmingham!

  • I want a description of my house in my address

maybe I should move to England

  • I love Loading Ready Run.

  • Canada Post works fine if you are in southern Ontario, beyond that though...

  • Wikipedia says that the people who give you overly long addresses are just dicks: most of those lines are totally unnecessary.

The Red Brick House at the End of the Lane

    The Dells

    Essnex [plus postcode]

    ENGLAND

    would be just fine.

  • @jml26 But aren't our long, convoluted silly addresses just a whole heap more fun?

  • Maybe you should weigh each package so you know what's inside of it.

  • To be fair, K, England is a tiny tiny place filled with elves, and Canada a huge barren wasteland filled with Tim Horton's underpaid foreign guest workers.

  • I never received my katamari ball i won in the last desert bus :(

  • @theownerer2 Send an email to the DB email so we can fix that!

  • @theownerer2 Also, I blame Canada Post.

  • Was that a freudian slip on James' part?

  • Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

    4:00

  • HA no thumbs down, suck on that people who always comment like `5 people didn´t like flying salamanders

  • "Royal Mail works".

He says Royal Mail works because he doesn't live in England.

  • I am so happy, because Kathleen actually knows how to pronounce "Newfoundland."

And yet I am sad, because I am in Newfoundland, and it does indeed oftentimes cost me more in shipping to buy something online, than I'm paying for the actual item. $15 wallet, $30 shipping, plus an additional $11 when it got to the post office here. FML.

  • I've gotta say, the LRR crew puts in a ton of work to do all this stuff, and it's awesome. Between making videos, printing/shipping shirts and what not, it's hard to imagine they even have time to sleep. So kudos LRR! It's appreciated! WE LOVES YOU!

  • I've gotta say, kudos to the LRR crew for putting in tons of hours of work to do stuff like this. Making videos, printing the shirts and buttons, and doing all this jazz takes a lot of time. So thank you LRR! WE LOVES YOU!!!

  • 4:00 Am I the only one who noticed the Beetles album in the background?

  • No, the worst thing would be trapped in a Faraday Cage.......built by Paul.

  • @WeirdBlueOne Oh god, that sounds terrifying.

    ~

  • Nah, the worst thing would to be trapped in a septic tank.

  • ?One leftover -blue- shirt? Why is blue so bad?

  • @Naturality Because blue shirts are only printed for the preorders. They only print extras in black. If they have an extra blue, it means they forgot to pack it.

  • It doesn't look like James is wearing a different outfit though. LIES.

  • Our very British addresses are indeed silly, but we are proud of them and their inherent Britishness! Also, thanks for the added DB4patch and wristband with my prizepack! You guys are awesome... I think its because we both have the queen on our monies..

  • Well played LRR, now I kinda feel like a dick for saying my Tshirt and DVDs are still not here in the UK (after about 4 or 5 months) and I haven't heard back from James in about a month...

  • Hurray for the British Royal Mail! :D

  • I one time shipped a 40 pound box of food to Canada to a friend that lost his job and was starving. The food cost me $30 to buy, it cost me $90 to ship to Canada.. Fuck you Canada post.

  • My...god.

I always wanted to buy a logo shirt.....and now i'd feel guilty doing so knowing just how much work this all is for you guys.

    Dammit.

(still gonna do it...but the guilt....it will be EPIC)

  • @Unoriginal069 The guilt should encourage people to buy more shirts. Otherwise all their work will be for naught and they may all be sad. So sad.

  • Took ages for my Desert Bus crest shirt to arrive. I understood the delay with the holidays and all, I just got frustrated at the lack of info. My mediem may be in this very video.

  • YOU FOLD HUNDREDS OF SHIRTS BY HAND? Are you crazy??

Engineers way to fold a t-shirt: fZKKrUXjzDY (youtube video)

Other than that, I love seeing what you guys do!

  • It took a month for me to get my Desert Bus t-shirt, but it was worth it.

  • I'm sorry, when has Royal Mail Worked? I'm missing 2 magazines and many other things thanks to them

  • @backbone666

tell me about it. I'm still missing Mass Effect 2 for PC. I've now got the 360 version and completed it.

  • @Frellyouall

game cost me £12.50 and I ordered it by "Recorded Delivery" and they lost it. I filled in a form to claim the cost of the game back and they sent be a letter saying these things happen and here's 6 stamps. Wankers.

  • The Royal Mail may work for you Canadians, but if I ever try to get anything shipped to the North East *inside* England, it takes a metric aaaage!

  • I think the bottom line here is, the UK is awesome.

  • Greetings from West Westerchesterbmingham!

  • "Royal Mail works!" - Ahahah, that's a funny joke Graham.

I suppose it *can* be okay - at least apart from days when it's raining and the postman, in his infinite wisdom, is holding your letters out of his bag in the pouring rain so that they get just wet enough to shred on putting through the letterbox.

    Though yes, I do love our crazy addresses {at least outside of cities. City addresses are bloody boring! And other countries it's boring too! Why can't all other postal customs be insane!?}

  • I have massive respect for all the work that goes into everything you do. Whatever it is, videos, T-shirts, expos. Wish I could be apart of it! Thanks for all the hard work and amazing content from the past few years!

  • 0:55 - HA! I want that Morgan poster

  • Just be glad you don't have to ship to Dubai. Nobody there has addresses AT ALL.

  • Now that was interesting... looks like a lot of work, but then again we are buuing your stuff so that's alright. Next time I order something from you I'll picture this in my mind. :D

  • Our mail functions when Postman Brit doesn't knick the stuff you send.

  • No no Royal Mail does not work, mail goes "missing" or arrives altered quite often. It's also in the process of being taken over. Otherwise you are right, we had stupid addresses, at least it's not a Welsh address, so many L's...

  • canada's post fails? looks like a job for canadaman aye

  • I love the picture on the all with Andrew Sheppard and the slogan "pants". Will that be (or has it ever been) the design on a shirt in your store?

  • A little part of me is hoping that the blue crest shirt and DVD we see packaged in the video is the package which made its way to my house. Either that or (more likely) someone else has equally good taste in LRR merch.

  • Royal Mail seems to work for some people. I've never had a problem, but I know several people whose deliveries they have messed - the hell - up.

  • I have family from Essnex! Nice place.

  • By "you'll get them whenever Canada Post feels like delivering them" You mean "probably never," Right?

  • @Josefssoul I can only speak for myself, but here in Australia it seems to mean "about two and a half months"...

  • @phlipping Having dealt with Canada's Reliable Postal Service before, I can safely say I will expect my order to come by Christmas.

The kicker is I don't live that far away.

  • my friends address in ireland is like that, no numbers whatsoever and the house label was like "o'connors house" or something

  • Tomorrow I'm putting money I've been procrastinating in the bank and soon you'll see my name on there ;)

  • It's entirely possible that I imagined this, but do you guys have anything set up for sending merch to ferry terminals? I live near the Tsawwassen terminal, so if I can avoid Canada Post I'd prefer to.

  • I love the Morgan (Pants!) poster on the wall. Priceless.

  • Hey, when do you guys plan on restocking the "Awwww, muffin" t-shirt, 'cause I'm waiting to get that for my sister's birthday. Which is already past.

  • I know what you mean. I once got a letter from England and the return address started with "Our House in the Middle of the Street".

  • All this shirt packaging makes me want to buy a shirt. :P

  • @DaDewd No offense to the M64 guys, but I'd like to see Garrett sort and ship 200 shirts in one night.

  • @loadingreadyrun Well now that Garrett is busy doing The Store Cast, you're probably right.

  • @DaDewd I think James normally does this day to day, this was just their desert bus haul, which would be much larger than normal.

  • I'm a truck driver who occasionally hauls freight for a certain courier/parcel post corporation. Canada Post ships by these guys occassionally. This means that I could have helped ship one or more of your shirts. Possibly. This was supposed to be clever. :)

  • Graham, I'll see your England address and raise you half the addresses in South East Asia.

  • Wow... someone accused Royal Mail of working... this is a new high for our once great country! Thank you Graham! xD

  • @ZaphodBeeblebrox65

I agree... Does this mean we cant call it the royal phail (fail) any more?

  • This looks like absolute hell.

  • Royal Mail works ... when they're not on strike (which they always seem to be).

  • Love the Morgan pants poster in the background and I'm also not sure where you guys find the time to be creative and make all these awesome vids when you have do do everything yourselves. If you need some cheap labor I'm available, will take payment in the form of LRR swag >.>.

  • Among the many responsibilities I have where I work I handle all shipping and receiving so I know how much of a pain what your doing can be. One little suggestion though you may want to look into a shipping label printer or stick on label paper for your printer, it makes things so much easier. Also it might not hurt to look into setting up an account with a shipping company as they are often setup to handle batch uploads of addresses.

  • Canada Post isn't that bad, then again I've never had to ship a million shirts before.

  • This is the first bonus video that makes the Moonbase appear as large as it probably is.

  • I've much too much experience shipping through Canadapost. Venture One small business cards help, but shipping inside Canada still sucks balls. I rue when people buy my stuff and are in Canada, no less Eastern Canada.

  • @gac18 That's not how you YouTube, my friend. It's fine now.

  • Cinematic!

  • lol.. and yet im still surprised whenever someone comments on a video with "video quality sucks" and so on, 1 minute after its uploaded... give it time!

  • i do this as my job at a school board. this and diagnose and fix computers. not very fun
