Not to hate on forza, but I heard that a GT Academy driver is racing in a Nissan Oreca LMP2 pole in this year's 24h of Le Mans! Racing drivers DO use GT. Forza is a nice game too, but I don't have an Xbox.

Please. As fun as Shift is, it is not as good as this. And as for GRID? No where near as good as Forza. Forza is a great game, truly is. But I'm afraid there is one other driving game which is just in a separate league to all of these. The whole experience is remarkable.

There is a reason why Forza 3 is called an arcade racer by some people... Because it doesn't have many stock cars, if any at all. Many of its cars are practically just sports cars. It doesn't have nearly as much of a variety and the cars are nearly all tuned up or changed from the factory specifications. Also the tracks are not as richly replicated as Gran Turismo has done them. Quit acting like you are an expert. You are only assuming crap and saying what others have said before.

Consoles can have simulators to stupid. Consoles aren't nearly as weak as you PC fanboys and wannabes say. I game on PC too by the way but the PS3 is nothing to talk crap about. It has proven itself time and time again yet people still flame it.

Simulation means realistic. Gran Turismo is a realistic racer. Real life drivers use Gran Turismo for practice or just to play it and say its damn realistic.

1. Because it is a realistic racing game.

2. Because its simple to hookup a playstation and play a game.

3. Because it has more cars then other racing games.

And 4. Because it replicates real life tracks into the game almost perfect.

Oh and Tanner Foust is one of the drivers that use Gran Turismo.

The other is from a guy who doesn't know that this version of the Nordschleife was not modelled new for Forza 3, so it is not as good quality in relation to the real circuit as some of the new circuits. It is the one from Forza 1 or 2 I believe, and around 3 miles too long because the track was widened for added 'fun'.

Turn off the autobraking and assist line.

Shows a lot more skill and you can get way more speed on corners than the game wants you to.

You can drop your lap by a mile if you learn to use these, and stick to one view. I choose the inside driver's view. Much easier and you can judge how close you are to a corner easier.
