out of all these new engines, IMHO, the new 5.0 would be the way to go. plenty of power, remember this is the detuned v8 from the new stang, and would be plenty for the average joe. the new ecoboost seems like a good engine too. what sucks though is that the 6.2 is only available in the high end models :(

hey everyone--we actaully went down to an event and did our own video as well. search youtube for 2011 f-150 bft roundup--the videos by yourchattanooga ford--we made a 22 video series showing every event throughout the day including our morning trip to starbucks, dragracing, towing, etc
Actually the base v6 makes about 365hp but the number that really matters is the torque and it makes about 271 foot pounds. A rough estimate of the V6's tow rating (by me i have no proof of this, it's just my guess) would be about 7,000lbs and it's still built with the same frame as a normal F150 so you would definitely be able to put heavy loads in the back.
@atgskater14 Actually, the base V6 Makes 307 HP and 290TQ(3.7), the optional V6 makes 365HP and 440TQ(3.5). You might want to find the proof before your bother putting that out there

Actually the base v6 makes about 365hp but the number that really matters is the torque and it makes about 271 foot pounds. A rough estimate of the V6's tow rating (by me i have no proof of this, it's just my guess) would be about 7,000lbs and it's still built with the same frame as a normal F150 so you would definitely be able to put heavy loads in the back.

@atgskater14 Actually, the base V6 Makes 307 HP and 290TQ(3.7), the optional V6 makes 365HP and 440TQ(3.5). You might want to find the proof before your bother putting that out there
