Something must be wrong with this gun. When MW2 came out, the range of the akimbo 1887's was just ridicolous. Then they patched it and now we have the choice of these:

- 1887 w/o akimbo, which is basically the worst shotgun in the game, having the same range like the SPAS-12, but the reloading takes an eternity, and aiming down the sights is just a pain in the ass.

- 1887 w/ akimbo, which is even outpowered by Commando Pro in terms of range, while dealing extremely low damage. F**k this gun!

IMO, the M1887 akimbo is better than the SPAS-12. You can switch off shooting guns, and you've got a shotgun(s) that has a better fire rate then the SPAS-12.

actually i spoke to a man who owns a real Winchester 1887,he said it can be fired with one hand,as he has done it before.but he also said the 1887 is almost impossible to flip without modification(sawed off stock,barrel,big lever) plus its a 120+ year old shotgun which could break,.so..akimbo could be humanly possible?

@ZuperZeize Models made mw2 lol :/ I wish IW inducted a Sabotage gamemode where all patches are unpatched. All maps. Models <3, elevators, javelin, and infinity carepackages.. Even a specialized playlist of just model 1887(s) w/ elevators.

I don't understand why IW had to have the patches affect private matches and split-screen =s There are no global leaderboards in priv/split... The global leaderboards are destroyed anyway?? Hope for the Ungodly Akimbo Shotguns to be in mw3. Petition about it.

Strange thing is the second the 87's were turned into complete shit (unless you use bling,stopping power, and steady aim , but it's still not the same) the SPAS goes all the away across rust (that's far for a shotty) and somehow the M1014 still has less range than represented in the menu. I want my dual PWNERS BACK. Also the whole I shoot a guy in the chest with a Barrett and dosnt die thing is extremely annoying. Realistically the Barrett would cause that character to no longer have a chest.

You can absolutely not dual-wield/akimbo this weapon in real life. I'm not saying it's impossible, but think about it.

A shotgun with all that recoil, on each arm.

It's lever action. You do not want to know how much it hurts to mess up loading lever action. Plus you couldn't load it one-handed no matter how hard you tried.

with the full metal jacket in real life the holes would probably be smaller. cod mw2 really made everone think that fmj is all special when it really is not. all it does is penetrate far. no expansion so it just goes straight through a human without causing that much damage.

Yeah after 1.09 they became garbo. Wow i cant believe this shit. That the SPAS unlocked at lvl 1 has rediculouse range. When u look at the new akimbo 1887s they cant even go 2 damn feet. If you have Stopping Power, FMJ doesn't give any significant bullet damage increase. It's main purpose is it makes your weapon do more damage when penetrating obstacles. Hence why you need 40 FMJ penetration kills to unlock the Extended Mags for a weapon.

You would need to be the terminator to spin those shits and or hold one in one hand in each hand and be accurate at all because each one weighs 8 lbs(according to Wikipedia) which is about the weight of an M16 so according to this logic you should be able to akimbo the m16 and or pretty much any other assault rifle. Its funny that the original range was actually more realistic, all of the shotguns on mw2 have very little range in comparison to their real life counterparts, for example the AA-12 can fire up to 200 metres!
