Just bought this on dvd, i suddenly had the need to watch it again as my dad has just died. This film is one of the few times i saw him cry, i should say sob. His family were the most important thing in the world to him. The thought of this happening to someone broke his heart. R.I.P DAD.
This movie was a window into the soul of my father-- This is only but a small portion of what really happened. I will say this, Mark Harmon portrayed my grandfather perfectly! My grandpa died in 1984, and it was if Mark knew him--so chilling. I am the daughter of the one they called Ellis, however, Ellis was a twin to my father, Elmer. Ellis was never really portreyed in this movie as the thought it would be confusing to the story. There is much more devistation than this movie could show---

This is one of the most heart felt movies ever and I believe Mark Harmon deserved an academy award for this. I actually cried, but the ending was my undoing me and my friends wept like babies. You are great, thankyou once again, I will now show my friends where it is.

yo la publique aqui, pero no completa y solo se consigue en ingles yo logre verla una vez en español por halmark chanel.. te cuento... el es un hombre casado pero no feliz con su esposa, era un publicista con mucha creatividad pero muy poco valorado en su trabajo... a el le gustaban mucho los relojes antiguos, un dia compra uno en una tienda y resulta q era como algo q lo hacia viajar en el tiempo... ....
se montaba en un tren y en la siguiente estacion estaba en el año 18??.. le daba miedo bajarse del tren hasta q un dia se decide y se baja y nonoce a una mujer viuda q tiene una niña de 8 años y es dueña de una imprenta
ellos se enamoran y el dura viajando en el tiempo varias veces , hasta q el chofer del tren q es el mismo q le vende el reloj le dice q solo tiene una oportudidad de regresar al pasado q si no vuelve no podra regresar mas
el esta muy confuundido por q ya se encuentra compeltamente enamorado de ella, pero quedarse en el pasado implica dejar a su esposa y toda la vida q tiene en la actualidad, pasa unos dias sintiendose muy mal , hasta q investiga en una hemeroteca y lee q esa mujer de la q el se enamoro, muere junto con la niña en una explosion el dia siguiente al q corresponderia si el viajara en ese momento, asi q decide montarse en el tren y llega justo a tiempo de salvarla
y ellos junto a la niña comienzan una hermosa vida en el año 18?? y el se hace director de la imprenta q ella tenia... la cual llega a ser en el futuro uno de los mas famosos peridicos de EEUU ... es muy linda amiga ojala la puedas ver...

Oh my God, ive been trying to find this film for a very loooooooooong time. thanks so much for posting this poignant film. i saw it once in my life only, when i was in grade school in the philippines and there was this late weekend movie specials and i vaguely remember the title. all i know was that i really wept while and after seeing this film. at my young age then the impact of this movie was so tremendous that i never forgot about it. thanks thanks many thanks

bought it recently on Ebay as my other half is a sucker for a sad movie but it's just sooooo low budget that it had nowhere near the impact it had on me as a youngster. My advice is to stick with the memory of it instead of trying to relive it....
