That is a travel. When you pick up the ball with your foot on the ground and don't dribble again, that's your first step. Some idiots say that's a "half step", there's no such thing, it's just an excuse like the "crab dribble". So he caught the ball in the air, then pivot foot, and then the second step.. It's all by the rule... Nothing travel about it.
