Sorry ''Maureen'', But Eggs? Who uses Eggs for Buttercream? And you don't need Lard either. All you need Unsalted Butter, Flavoring, Salt, Powdered Sugar and maybe a little Water to thin it out if necessary. For Chocolate Buttercream add in Cocoa. Ta'Dah! u dont need vegetable shortening, the butter and icing sugar is all that is needed. just beat the butter until nice and fluffy, then add the icing sugar bit by bit. if it becomes to hard add a tablespoon of milk to thin.
