As much I am a huge fan of Guns N Roses and Axl,This was a very disappointing beginning of the new guns lineup (2001-2002) lineup was like a circus act freakshow with Buckethead and the way Robin Finck looked back then and the fact that Axl couldn't sing,his voice just wasn't there....But from 2006 till now Axl sounds amazing and the band actually looks respectable and not a circus act like back then..Buckethead is 100,000,000 times better as a solo artist anyways then when he was in Guns!

first of all, EVERY SINGLE DEMO from Chinese Democracy was great. I remember in fuckin 2005/06 those early demos - IRS, Better, Madagascar, The Blues, etc.

I knew right then this was gonna be worth the fuckin wait.

But then Axl had to FUCK EVERYTHING UP. He screwed EVERY SINGLE DAMN SONG UP! The motherfuckin guy is a obsessive compulsive control freak.

He tinkered way too fkn much and made what could've been an absolute CLASSIC album into a piece of shit that lost $

This album didn't come out until 2008, about seven years after this live performance. Axl did a great job of destroying the name of a great band. If he wanted to waste a decade or so wanking in the studio that is his decision. But to put the GNR brand name on it is a joke. This isn't Guns N' Roses. It is just Axl. If the album was called "Axl & Friends" it would be a real solo album unless imaginary friends count.

But is it really a Guns 'N Roses album? Or is it an Axl solo album? I didn't care for Chinese Democracy.  I thought it was overproduced. Someone should have told Axl "think long, think wrong". It was the most hyped, disappointing, overproduced and delayed album since Boston's "Third Stage".

@Jefgg Well people don't even realize when Axl "really" started working on this and what happened in between. He didn't really start working on the songs until 2000 or around there. Slash actually made Axl sign something so he had to wait to start touring or to start working on chinese democracy. Then it came to managers. Guns went through like 3 managers and that takes time. Then assoff didn't release the album when it was suppose to be released in 2006.
