The thing which did nt work for most of the audience is tht the movie is very complex, jess like lives of most of ppl, n I think more than 70% of audience looks for entertainment in a bollywood movie. Though 1st 30-40 mins is very entertaining, the rest of the movie is diff altogether, though I jess loved it I knew most of the audience will nt like watching such stuff on screen :D

little info. a movie is not eligible for an oscar unless it is directed by the american movie fraternity. just like a movie made by the british fraternity will be eligible for the bafta awards. Will u give a filmfare award to any foreign film maker? exactly... hence the proposition is unfair. A foreign film is eligible for an oscar only in the foreign film category. (eg. lagaan, mother india ). Slumdog millionaire was eligible because danny boyle was in the american fraternity.
