hey guys, what do u recommend me.. my father has a ford probe of 91, but the motor isnt good and its automatic, and obviously i was thinking to stay with it to do that races... but it is any chances to repair it.. or put it manual.. dont know.. what do u recommend me
First get it running so you can drive it. Don't buy a manual transmission thinking your going to go out and beat everyone if you don't even if the motors going to hold up. Fix it up, drive it, then upgrade it for some races.
@GNR110690 keep her automatic and have it tuned, rebuild the engine or swap it out with a mustang engine. reason for keeping it auto, you can tune every single shift point to max out the shifting and get perfect shifting each and every time, upgrade your torque converter, anyone who says automatic is garbage doesn't know race cars. A guy made a 8 sec automatic 1/4 mile down in the states.

the only celica that can beat a probe ever is a gt-4 or a gt-s from 2000+ and up they have more than 200hp, a kl-de probe like the one on the vid will get beat by 1-2 cars depending on driver, a kl-ze probe will totally destroy the celica it has 200hp like the celica but it is ultimately superior to the celica
lol man tahts not a race, If that celi would have tryed to race it would have destroyed that probe. My Gts would have beat that probe and it's a 1986.
i have a 93 base probe and iv raced my friend with a ceica on the iowa speedway and its a pretty close race. im all stock and he had aftermarked parts on and i still beat him
if i had a quarter for everytime i beat a probe in a race... i would be filthy rich

dude, its not worth the time or money to do anything with any automatic car. sell it and if you like probes theres some nice stick ones on ebay.

It's true..not usually..but it does happen. and FWIW an sn95 MGT is MARGINALLY quicker than an average driver in a Probe GT MTX stock for stock
