Nas is my fav lyricist. People who actually LISTENS to music will feel what I'm talkin bout. Everybody has there style and I can't see Nas rappin about all this dumbass stuff artists rappin bout now. He's from NYC y'know. NYC is home to the majority of dark rappers. What ya expect?
How can anybody call jay z a sell out? he put in his work and rapped about the street life, later down the line after he got his grown man on he swtiched over. I mean how long can u talk about crack and guns? And lets not forget nas attempt of doing the same thing on that "you can hate me now joint" wearing p diddy outfits with his bling out and tlking about money ice and all that, then he went back to how he first started. stop hattin jay z is eating good like he always wanted.
@TommyNoob1982 how is jayz a sellout when he been about money since day 1 his first album.....i sometime wonder if u niggaz just started listening to hip hop yesterday
idk why jay is gettin so much gate these days by all the undergroud heads, like ye id rather listen to a rakim or smif n wessun joint then jay z but he only sold out so he could get to enough media attention to diss up all the fake ass rappers these days, and have we forgotten that he was boys with the G.O.A.T biggie. respect to both these cats
This is it, we rock the era, no more terror, Set the new stage of drama, wrote the last amazing chapter, Last decade was transition time, this is the illest new rhyme. C the new recon Dapper don, representing two zero one, not done son new age of enlightment, worth every cent, ya stand me We want to be the change, no re-arrange, creating history, For all to see. This is my time, i'm optimus prime, creating a beat, and sitting in the prophet's seat writing the newest scripture, cya
please send me mp3 of this mix bro!! sick!!!!! and nas is the best fuckin emcee to ever grace the mic!! get it right people! fuckin killa on any beat....real talk
GZA would destroy Jay in just 10 bars or maybe less, when it would maybe take Jay around 16 and a chorus to step up to GZA's finesse in MCin. It would be a tough battle between Nasty and GZA though, fun to watch.
i personaly think Nas one of the best of all time but GZA in a battle would take nas..he definitely destroy Jay. nas's music is dope but he cant battle THAT hard..."ether" wad dope and "destroy and rebuild" were pretty dope too but GZA is master at that style
Well, although GZA is definitely the best out of Wu-Tang and one of the all time greats, I don't think he can stand up to Nasty Nas. Genius could probably murk Jay, though.
actually, i give 50 props. he just chooses to go with what the public and the industry want him to go with because he wants the money. him, wayne, jay z, game and all them go with what money brings. nas, bone thugs and those other original rappers just choose to keep it original and continue to improve in their hip hop so don't knock em too much. they all got talent.
@XXXyoungloveXXX but still dont use hip hop in vain and teach people wrong about hip hop wtf? hip hop was an expression for oppression and a lifestyle. emcees and rappers have nothing alike.
i feel what you saying and i definetly agree with you. but to each its own. they care for the money and that's what the people wanna hear. they're not passionate about rap like nas is. nas seems to care for hip hop and the passion of his work than the money. but hey, we can only blame society for what the rap music is now. society and the people who run the industry are the ones to blame for the bs we be hearing on the radio and why more lame artist keep coming out.
@XXXyoungloveXXX eh, yeah society is stupd and so is the media... hip hop is truly dead... and much love and respect for those who are trying to keep it alive with the true elements... BBOYING, DJ, EMCEE, and GRAFFITI. <--- its really sad that these 4 elements are recognized under the name of hip hop... instead the knock offs are...
i undoubtably and extremely definetly agree with you, even though i don't know who those peeps are. but hey, that's because I don't really follow hip hop anymore. I usually listen to the mainstream but now that my radio is off, the only thing i do is blog on youtube or listen to my damn self. but i definetly agree with you. RIP hip hop. It's pretty much buried away along with tupac and biggie
@bullgraham23 yes there is just look up dvdvideosoft ..or something like that..n just dl youtube to mp3 converter..pretty simple to use takes a while to download tho
dumb motherfuckers...how'd da fuck can u say jay-z is wack? being da best rapper alive is beyond just being lyrical...if hip-hop was soley based on lyricism den you'd have to include 100 rappers as da best rapper of all time coz of diversity in the way artists write and think...open your ears and not your eyes you stupid dum motherfuckers! like Nas said "there aint no best!"
this was fuckin sick as hell. I actually hate jay-z's gutts but thought it was half decent on the beat. Too bad he shouldnt be included in the top 100 list.
Just type in On the Eve of War and look for the one that's 2:58 and it's a picture of GZA and Vinnie Paz standing together. It's just a different beat that Stoupe uses, which is much more soothing and mellow than this one and it just sounds better.
