Spot on James! You are on the right track, I know there are many Kenyan Matatu drivers out there who have stories to tell, it's always good to hear the other side of the story. I also worked as a tout after graduating and it was an eye opener for me to learn what goes on in this Matatu industry. Thanks Aljazeera for highlighting this story.
@brandonGCHACHU ..True true..Im also amazed..You have to understand though that Kenyans are highly educated. As you can see even their Matutu driver is very eloquent speaker. These people have the talent and education but Africa is so corrupt and without opportunities that the best minds are wasted like James.

I was surprised to hear about the matatu drivers. I know it is a similar job for those in the United States. Cab drivers. People treat them terribly, and they get robbed and have all sorts of crimes committed against them. Yet as a society, we need people like this. Why do we treat them in such a despicable manner?
