the image is computer generated . I'm sure in the actual model the fence narrows as it draws away from the alien. then the whole object is rotated around on a single axis. your mind is used to seeing things that are farther away as being smaller. the intent of the whole imagery is to throw off your sense of depth. I think it's very clever.

@Lanzane1 Thank you for your comment. The fence is not narrowing. It is solid. The alien and the fence are rotating together. The head and leg of the alien are moving a bit but this has nothing to do with the illusion.

@heermarcel The physic are messed. Matter can't phase. The object we should be looing at is the fence rail until it again has gotten to an angle that it wouldn't cut line of sight on the aliens legs. As the legs phase through the fence they are no longer rotating together as their realtionship wouldn't change if it were
